I had an extremely concerning experience at this ARCO on Reseda Blvd in Tarzana on August 17, 2026, at approximately 9:23 PM. I went inside to pay cash for pump #3. Before handing the money to the cashier, I counted it out: two $10 bills and four $1 bills, totaling $24. I also said "$24 on pump 3" out loud when I handed her the money. There was a security guard sitting to my left who was present while I counted and handed over the cash. I went outside and pumped my gas, and the pump stopped at $14. I immediately ran back inside and told the cashier, "Ma'am, I gave you $24, and there was only $14 on the pump." Instead of checking what happened, she told me that I had only given her $14. I explained very clearly that I gave her two tens and four ones. She then told me that I must have thought I gave her two $10 bills, but that I had actually only given her one $10 bill and four $1 bills. That response really bothered me because I know exactly what I had in my wallet and exactly what I counted out. I did not appreciate being spoken to as though I was confused about my own money. I repeatedly asked for the surveillance cameras to be reviewed so there would be no argument about anyone's memory -- the footage should show what I handed over. The security guard was also right there when the transaction happened and appeared confused by the situation as well. The cashier eventually told me to come back at 9:00 AM. I have also contacted ARCO Customer Relations and formally requested that the surveillance footage from approximately 9:20-9:30 PM be preserved and reviewed, along with the register transaction for pump #3. This is about more than the $10 difference for me. It is about the principle of handing over money, receiving $10 less in gas, immediately bringing it to the employee's attention, and then being told that I must have been mistaken instead of having the situation properly verified. I want management to review the cameras and determine exactly what happened. I will update this review after management responds and the footage/register transaction has been reviewed. read more

I cant believe Im reviewing a gas station, but they are OFF THE CHARTS rude to customers at this store. I was using my debit card last night and the clerk started pushing the buttons on the card reader as I was trying to read the prompts. I told him I can push the buttons myself. Then out of the blue he started saying f**k you to me and the other guy behind the counter started screaming to get the f**k out. I left and went back today to speak to a manager about that. Spoke to a nice clerk and he points out the manager. Of course it was the guy from last night. This is not my first choice for gas stations. The pay system is not user friendly. The gas station is also dirty and old. There are snacks that you can stop and get here if you get hungry. It is conveniently located on the main street of Reseda Blvd. The prices are quite low. There is a lot of foot traffic due to the orange line across the street. The gas is okay but it seems to get used up pretty fast. I stopped going here after someone kept repeatedly tapping my car with theirs and would not stop until I drove away. read more

Stay far away from this gas station, especially after dark. Even during daylight hours, the place is never without panhandling homeless who, despite usually being so full of narcotics that they barely know what planet they're on, have no compunction about approaching people using the gas pumps asking for spare dollars and coins. Go to the gas stations up on the corner of Reseda and Burbank Blvd. They're not much better, but they are better in terms of people not trying to get money out of you and the prices for gas are about the same. As for the convenience store, I only went in there one time. The homeless are in there too, or waiting for you right outside the door hoping to get the dime or quarter or pennies from your cash purchase. I work near the AMPM and always go there for snacks or coffee and have been overcharged multiple times, a coworker of mine has warned me about that constantly occurring at this location and I found out for myself. The employee working the register will act as if scans all your items but will miss a few and manually charge it. I buy the same thing every time and have noticed on different occasions the difference in price. When i confronted the employee and demanded to speak with the manager they just told me the prices for my items have gone up and offered no other explanation. Fuck this place they scam and even if its for a few bucks. Know the prices of what you buy and demand a receipt to avoid any fraudulent activity from this location. There is always a line inside and I have on more than one occasion watched the short fat woman that works there not help with customers when the line was clear across the store, instead she kept taking the trash out. I never thought I would review a Gas Station, but had the worst experience of my 30 years of pumping gas. Pumps are old and malfunction. I paid with debit card was charged the .35 cents and pulled out the pump, it shot has out without pressing handle and then shut off. I tried again and did it again. I went inside to get a refund and pay in the store and the lady, who speaks barely any a English will not refund me, and charges me the fee again. I tell her the pump malfunctioned twice and charged me, and she mumbles something you can't understand. I try to explain and she keeps spewing her horrible English and I tell her to not charge me the fee as I was paying for gas again. Always have cheap gas here! so I gotta love the place. The employees are who they are, nice on days you are lucky to find them in a good mood. Over all though the location is ALWAYS packed in the mornings (weekdays) so be ready to fight for your place in line. If you are nothing like me (someone who will fight for your rights and or what you feel is right) then avoid this station in the mornings cause it does get crazy and there has been certain altercations and situations that have gotten out of hand so thats about it. I come to this gas station pretty often, usually for the snacks and drinks. There are usually crackheads and crazy people talking to themselves or sleeping right outside the AMPM and it reaks of body odor and urine. They have variety of snacks and drinks, but they do not have a public restroom and do not accept credit card. Cash or debit only. There is an extra charge if you want to use debit card and 3 out of 10 times i have been here their debit card system is down so they only accept cash, which is already pretty inconvenient for a gas station that does not accept credit card. Also, when you come here late at night, they usually have a sign up that says they will be open again at 2:30 am, which I understand because they need to count the drawer and what not, but is almost always never the case. They would reopen around 3, even though you are just waiting for them outside to open again. And for the workers, they seem like they really do not care about how the customers feel at all. I wouldn't expect a quality customer service at a gas station, but these workers are just absurd. Most of them take forever to complete simple transactions. One of the workers, which I do not remember his name, but he was a middle eastern bald man, accused me of opening an ice cream wrapper, when I asked to switch the ice cream to a different one because the wrapper was already slightly open. I walked out and noticed that there was a tear on the wrapper, so I went back inside and asked if I may change it to a different one, and he gave me the dirtiest look and said "maybe youre the one that opened it" Like i dont even know why anyone would just open the wrapper just so he can go through the trouble of switching the ice cream. It's not like I was going to keep that ice cream and take a new one either. I was simply asking him if I can switch. I got here for snacks mostly and have been going here for years... close to 10. Within the last year it seems like they might have changed ownership because they fired pretty much most of the regular crew I'd seen for years and hired on a bunch of very unfriendly people. They charge 35 cents to use your atm, don't accept credit cards and will charge you 20 cents for a bag The gas is cheaper usually but keep in mind they charge an extra .35 cents to use your atm so it might not work out to be cheaper if you don't fill your tank. read more

Hmmmm, some of the day shift and evening shift are cool and friendly. However there's one or two older guys who work there who really just aren't thankful to have a job. I Bought a bunch of stuff there tonight at about 1 AM, and it was obviously more then one wants to carry without a bag. However when I asked the clerk nicely for a bag he looked at me with an attitude, like it was beneath him to do this for me this or something. I think he works days too early morning, and he just always has a crappy attitude. I was here one other time before as I work nearby. I remember at the time thinking it was extremely inconvenient because you couldn't pay at the pump. It's been a couple of years so I thought I would try it again out of convenience. I pulled up inserted my card and then read the sign to say please pay inside. I paid inside, and was charged $.35 extra for the transaction. There are never enough squeegees to clean your windshield. The two guys working inside speak amongst one another in another language, and have no customer service experience.
