Gym: 3.5/5 Customer Service: 5/5…read moreCleanliness: 4/5 Dick and Balls: 0/5 (completely absent; fresh) First impression, this place might not seem like much, but after working out here it's got everything you need and avoids all the stupid bullshit that raises fees at "nicer" gyms. Also, they keep this place colder than Eskimo hole, so not only does it not smell like dick and balls but you probably won't stink up your dick and balls working out here.

Don't get me wrong, that's not a complaint! It's what makes The Preserve even more amazing, because it feels like a modern California spa, looks like a spa, smells like a spa... and sounds like one, with the lack of noise! Every time I've been here, there are no more than 10 people total, including staff! Which btw, all the staff is super sweet and wonderful. The gym itself is so clean and pristine. Parking is plentiful.

It's a fitness dedicated environment not a "see & be seen" environment. Ideal for anyone dedicated to improving their physique safely & significantly. Always a clean gym with dressing rooms and showers to facilitate commitments post workout. I have noticed there are numerous women who are within my age range 50-80) working with trainers as well. I come from a ballet & Pilates background (certified in teaching Pilates) and need to rebuild lost muscle mass from age & injury so I really appreciate the quality of training and the knowledge Dewayne possesses to prevent me from injuring myself.

Looking for a decent, well-managed gym in Houston? Do…read moreyourself a favor and look elsewhere. The size of the gym is similar to that found in an apartment complex. Members are allowed to bring children in strollers and toddlers on the floor, moving with the member from machine to machine. At times, the noise level is a distraction at best, with certain members and trainers being abnormally loud, showing little to no concern for general courtesy. Some members do not use lockers, leaving their clothes and gym bags scattered in the dressing area. Seriously, there are better gyms in the area.

This is my new gym because it has a vibe closer to Fit Athletics that just closed in Montrose and…read moreit's located near my place. A real gym with real people working out. The crowd is light. There are trainers on site training folks but they are super nice and definitely not aggressive with equipment like trainers in other gyms. Short version: you aren't less just because you are training on your own. Everyone is courteous. There's plenty of workout space, plenty of equipment and variety of equipment. The building is organized into two floors and about 3-4 main training areas. The squat / deadlift room is a class act and these days an essential to have. The spaces are well lit, clean and organized. Members could rerack weights but this is a problem in all gyms right now. There's plenty of parking available. The building is well maintained. The changing rooms, showers are all clean and well maintained. There's no sauna, there is no steam room, there is no pool of any kind and good riddance -- those always bring the worst of the gym goers. There's no daycare, no children's area. Leave your children at home. Now there is a spa side, that's where steam and sauna might be. I don't know. That part is extra on top of the membership. You just have to decide if you need those services. I don't. The price point is higher than other gyms, and yes you get what you pay for. It is however the same pricing as Fit athletics that closed. If you ask what could be improved: The gym could use about 10-20 additional 45lb plates to be distributed in the training rooms they have as there aren't 45lb plates to go around in general. Just for clarification. I train heavy. Perhaps most other people did not notice this. The hours are a little conservative especially on Fridays and weekends. It's a family owned gym, you deal with real people, no corporate, it's mellow and friendly. Free of texting teenagers, children, socialites, fitness influencers, tripods and recording and other Houston annoyances, this gym is a breath of fresh air. It's for courteous, grown up, serious exercise enthusiast.

CONS: It's in a remodel which isn't ideal but that won't last forever. Doesn't affect use of gym, just aesthetics. Also, a tad pricier than a "big box" gym but you get what you pay for, I don't regret the investment. Ultimately I've been a member of a dozen gyms over 16 years and this is my favorite one so far. Everything I need, not crowded, like a home away from home.

Best gym on the East Side!!…read more I started coming to Facet Seven Eado to get in the best Bride-To-Be/ Wedding shape I could, and it happened thanks to Mikel!! I highly recommend booking with him if you're in the market for a personal trainer! Not only will he help you reach your goals, but he's also very informative with why you're doing certain exercises (which is very helpful as someone who has no clue!) I do have to say, having a personal trainer really made my experience at Facet Seven Eado! I love that you can view all the trainer profiles online and book with them, making the whole process more approachable. The gym itself seems to have everything you would need - from machines to free weights to classes. Parking: They have some handicap parking and a few open spaces in front of the gym. That being said, I almost always had to park on the side street. Accessibility: In addition to the handicap parking - They do have a ramp for accessibility to the entrance as well, but otherwise get ready for a pre-workout warm up hiking up the stairs to the front entrance! They also have a large shower stall (at least in the women's locker room) for accessibility needs. Staff: The staff (especially the trainers) are beyond welcoming. For some reason the people at the front desk aren't so much. During my time here, I rarely got welcomed which does make it a bit awkward if you're not so comfortable in the gym. Also, they have a scanner to checkin on your app but that worked less than 50% of the time for me, leading to more awkward moments with the front desk. Space: The space is very open, allowing for a lot of different areas. During my time here, they did move some of the weights around, which made for a bit of a choke point/crowded area for the weight machines near the rowers. Personally this was a turn-off for me. Also, being a warehouse, it gets warm. There is AC but during the summer months it doesn't cool too effectively - which I guess helps you sweat and maybe is a good thing (but for me wasn't the best). Overall, I'd definitely return here if I needed a PT to help reach another goal. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a new gym in general !
