Our visit was not successful. I ended up eating soup and soft foods for over a week due to a broken tooth at this restaurant. The local manager was fine but the senior management had an uncaring attitude could not be flexible to my situation. I found this to be very unfortunate and the worst form of customer relation. My case did not require anything out of ordinary since it only required the chefs to make a customized meal for me. The facts here were that I could either be asked to pay an extra cost or be advised on the other best alternatives. I tried to suggest this to the management and this is where I realized that the middle level management was accommodative of my suggestions, however they could not be able to make a decision without the top management. The unfortunate bit is that the top management felt that since it was a case involving one person it was insignificant. The management should seriously consider better ways of dealing with customers who require special services. read more

My husband, being considerate during my illness, brought home chicken tortilla soup from 7 Mares Grill. Unfortunately, the soup was a major letdown. Despite my desire for warmth and comfort, the lack of flavor depth was immediately noticeable, making it hard to proceed beyond a couple of spoonfuls. The absence of any discernible taste left much to be desired. Additionally, the soup seemed to contain only minimal, seemingly frozen, tiny vegetables, adding to the overall disappointment. I do not like spicy food at all, so I am always cautious when I go outside my comfort zone of restaurants I venture too. But the waitress reassured me that there were some great options on the menu and then proceeded to suggest some. The dish I ordered was very tasty the seasoning was great and not too spicy. Sales tax in Brentwood is 8.75% so the total before tax is $34.08. So were the 2 drinks cost $12 total? Not likely. They overcharged us! I did ask for the receipt but they only gave us the credit card receipt. I should have asked for the itemized receipt.

No real sour cream, no proper pico de gallo, and barely anything that made it feel like an actual super burrito. I also ordered another super burrito and asked for ranchero meat, because that is clearly something they sell there. If you sell ranchero tacos, then obviously ranchero meat exists in your kitchen and should be an option in a burrito too. Instead, the burrito came in a box looking like they already knew it wasn't put together right. When I got home and opened it, I was honestly disappointed. The photos speak for themselves. This was not a super burrito. It was a sloppy tortilla overloaded with rice and meat, with almost nothing else inside to balance it out. No beans, barely any vegetables, no real pico, and no care in the way it was made. It looked like somebody just stuffed whatever was easiest in there and called it done. And before anyone tries to say I didn't ask for certain things, you can literally see tiny pieces of tomato in there, which shows some kind of veggie mix was supposed to be part of it. The environment looked really nice, and they definitely went all out with the decor. I really enjoyed the look and atmosphere of the place. After we ordered, they were kind enough to bring out our beverages: water, juice, and coffee. However, this was where we ended up waiting quite a while for our meals. We ordered a few platters along with nachos, and I honestly feel like the nachos could have been brought out first since they're a quick appetizer that the table could enjoy while waiting for the main dishes. Once our meals finally arrived, I was excited because this was my first meal of the day. Unfortunately, when I took my first bite of the carne asada, I was pretty disappointed. The meat was extremely bland. The best part of my plate was probably the frijoles. I was hoping the salsa provided at the table would help add some flavor, but unfortunately, both salsas tasted very diluted. I know some water is normally used when making salsa, but I felt like the ratio was off and it didn't have enough flavor or spice to balance out the meat. I still devoured my entire plate because I was starving, but my family members had similar thoughts. They also felt that their proteins were a bit bland and agreed that the salsa could have used more flavor. There is definitely room for improvement, but I appreciate the service and understand that they were dealing with a very busy Sunday. Hopefully, with some adjustments to the seasoning and salsas, the food can match the great atmosphere and hospitality.
