I was chatting with a local regular who told me it's usually a good crowd on the weekend but not like this. Guess the band and gulyás really brought out the throng! They've got a solid core range of beers - IPAs, lagers, stouts, sours - and special/seasonal flavors too, and even have their own hard seltzer line for those non-beer drinkers. I'm not an IPA person but lots of people seem to like their hazy IPAs (which my husband ordered). I stuck with my usual wheat beer and had a Belgian white...with blueberry! Delicious. The laid back and friendly vibe, down-to-earth crowd, and bright interiors with café-like seating areas all make Tribesmen a relaxing place to keep company. The calendar is filled with events such as trivia night, karaoke night, live music, and quaint social activities like crochet & sip and bonsai bar. All's to say I'd hang out here a lot more if I didn't have parenting responsibilities, though this does seem like a pretty family friendly place. We visited today for the Mother's Day Queen's Tea. I called to make a reservation 2 months in advance since they book up so quickly. In general, reservations are recommended as seating is limited, especially on weekends. When you arrive, you are presented with a prix-fix menu. On non-holidays, you usually have a choice between the soup or the salad of the day. You select your pot of tea from over 60 premium tea flavors. Today, I chose the "Paris" special tea, which had notes of vanilla, caramel, and bergamot. For the Mother's Day Queen's Tea, we had the broccoli and cheddar quiche, a pear, goat cheese, candied walnut, mixed green salad, scones, assorted mini sandwiches, and several mini desserts. Every course was fresh and excellent. The caramel scones are one of the best things I have ever eaten. They are served warm with clotted cream and lemon curd. The caramel is so goey and melts in your mouth. We brought some orange juice and prosecco to have mimosas with our tea. They have glassware in the back that you can request when making your reservation. The service is always top-notch. Holly is the best server! She is super sweet and always hardworking. At the entrance, there is a little gift shop with lots of cute vintage items, tea-themed trinkets, and some of the loose lea tea available in small bags. My favorite part was the mini tea sandwiches and the walnut feta salad. There were over 200 different types of teas to choose from you can either choose hot or cold. Overall, everyone at the party had an amazing experience.
