The gentlemen up front were very nice and patiently answered all my questions, and I had a lot of them. They recommended the #17, the Park sandwich. I added extra chili peppers because I make good decisions. And the #17 delivered. Packed with so much flavor, meat in every single bite, and you can taste that it was made on the spot. Nothing sitting around, nothing phoned in. Just a fresh sandwich that knows what it's doing. Inside feels like you stepped back a few decades, in the best way. Real mom and pop shop, everything fresh, great atmosphere. They even serve gyros. Got to talking with the owner, Ron. Very nice guy, and it was good to learn more about the place. I grew up in Chicago, going from a stupid young teenager to a stupid young adult, so I truly appreciate this kind of vibe and this kind of food. Also, I brought my dog Chestnut, and it turns out they have a sandwich named Chestnut. Chestnut has not stopped bragging about it. Will be back. Probably the next time my wife has a hair appointment.

Is originally, and tells a lot Also something important to mention, prices on the menu already include taxes, so you actually know what you'll pay when you order, which is, sadly, an exception in the US I liked the decoration as well They have tables inside and outside (with sunshades), a bathroom as well, and A/C Glad I came!

After years of kicking myself in the ass for not getting here before 3 pm, i finally rolled up for…read moresome lunch. 4 stars alone just for the service. As soon as i walked in i was greeted by someone at the counter, seems like the owner or manager, he was incredibly welcoming and friendly. My server was sweet too and paid attention. although i was pleased with my meal, i think i made the wrong choice by getting what i did. i now realize i need to come back and get actual breakfast items because that seems to be the star of the show. however, the lunch specials are a great deal and i was on a bit of a budget. grilled cheese is incredibly simple and nothing to talk about. maybe they can add the option of 2 cheeses maybe add caramelized onions? it was just white bread with 1 slice of cheddar. it hit the spot and was melted fine, but really nothing exciting. the lunch special came with a soup and there were 3 choices this day. the onion soup was absolutely amazing. it was sweet and salty, and veggie friendly! i would get this again. fries were nothing special either. probably could have been cooked more. rice pudding was okay. i think it needed more sweetness or seasoning but it was a nice touch at the end of the meal. ps, all for $14? what a good deal.

While meandering around our local neighborhood, my husband and I stumbled upon this tiny diner and…read moregave it a try. We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

This simple makeup of ribeye, cheese, onions, and fresh bread is what makes the sandwich so alluring to anyone. A great cheesesteak requires an even mixing of the parts. That means the cheese is melted and mixed with each crevice of the beef and onions. The bread encases the entirety. Every single bite should be consistent with the last and the next. However, in Jersey, one might think the best cheesesteaks only come from the boardwalks. Voted the Best Cheesesteak in Bergen County according to their website, my partner and I decided to pay a visit to Bob-O's Cheesesteaks, located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, for lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at a simple and clean interior. Lighting is basic and bright with a row of full windows with single seating providing a more spacious feel as well as 4 tables indoors and 5 tables for outdoor dining during pleasant weather. Their big-size menu is featured on the wall with cheesesteaks, egg rolls, sides, and much more. We decided on the Bob-O Sandwich, Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and Onion Rings. Food was prepared fresh per order. The sandwiches were really delicious and served hot. However, the peppers used on the Bob-O killed it. It looked like roasted peppers from the jar were used and not the fresh peppers sautéed with onion. The onion rings were hot, crispy with no oil or sogginess and didn't skimp. The portions were huge, and the price was comparable to the area. Service was fast and friendly. Despite this hiccup, we would give this place another try.
