I love Vietnamese coffee and what they have here is excellent and best of all not too sweet. Generally I find most shops take to be made with cafe du monde and a lot of condensed milk but this here has definitely better beans and a better balance between acidity, sweetness and other flavors. It's also straight up rocket fuel - be warned, it's a very strong and potent brew but will get you going in the morning. I also tried a black sesame latte because it sounded interesting. The cream on top is nutty and rich with the sesame notes and the coffee is good too, though a bit hard to stir together, nor is it as potent as the drip but well crafted nevertheless. When I come again I think I would just pick the classic. All in all, great new coffee shop!

The vibe inside the coffee shop feels communal, cozy, and rustic right in the heart of old town Lewisville. To order you'll walk up to the counter and place your order from the barista. I order the golden milk latte (turmeric, honey, lemon and spices). The latte was excellent and I was able to order my coffee in a ceramic. This may be my favorite coffee shop in Lewisville. Luckily, there's plenty of parking in the attached garage and a good number of tables and chairs inside the store. However, most people come with a group of 4-5 people since it costs $15 for the first person as a base, and then only $5 more per person, with a max of 5 people per group. We were lucky enough to snag a table, and we got to enjoy their various classic games, including Jenga, Uno, and even Monopoly! They also have some stands that sell various crocheted plushies, stickers, and cool keychains. In regard to the Boba, there is a good amount of tea bases that you can choose from, and so many flavor choices as well. It's awesome that they let you customize your sweetness level, and you can add on toppings such as boba, lychee jelly, or coconut jelly for no additional charge. My friends and I each had about 3-4 Boba drinks, but the best one we had was definitely the Thai tea with brown sugar and boba at a 50% level of sweetness. It was refreshing, and you could actually taste the tea flavor. The boba was soft and chewy. Hopefully, they add some popping boba in the future. We will for sure come back to Miao as it's a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy some classic board games!
