Their menu features some really cool options, and their specialty drinks are clearly fan favorites. I couldn't decide between the coconut ube latte and the guava matcha latte, but I went with the latter and was thoroughly pleased! It had the perfect blend of tropical fruity flavor from the guava, and the matcha was spot on since it was smooth and not at all grassy. The staff was very pleasant, and my drink was prepared quickly yet with great care. I can't wait to go back soon and try some of their baked goods, which all looked divine!

Best coffee in downtown Somerville!…read more Ambee's coffee is consistently excellent, and they make a cappuccino the way it should be. Perfectly balanced and not too much milk. It's one of those places where you know exactly what you're going to get every time, and the quality never disappoints. Their baked goods are also delicious. They have some of the best gluten-free cookies I've found at a coffee shop. I also tried the gluten-free scone--it was good, though I'd definitely recommend having it warmed up. The cookies are still my favorite GF option. The café itself is cute, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It has a fun, trendy atmosphere, although it can get pretty busy and loud during peak hours, so it isn't always the ideal place if you're looking for a quiet spot to work. I also have to give credit to their branding and marketing. Their social media is genuinely some of the best I've seen from a local business. The photography, videos, and product launches are always beautifully done, and even the coffee cup design is stylish and instantly recognizable. It's clear they put a lot of thought into every aspect of the customer experience. I've also been to their Warren location, which is just as good. It feels a bit larger and more spacious while maintaining the same great coffee and welcoming vibe. I've heard they're opening a location in Flemington, and I'm so excited! If it's anything like their Somerville and Warren cafés, it'll be a fantastic addition to the area.

I want to start this off by going on the record by saying I am absolutely far from a coffee snob…read more As a matter of fact I will pretty much drink any kind of coffee and finish it. Today is the first day that I can remember that I actually threw a way my drink because I just couldn't finish it. It was extremely bad. I kept giving it a chance. Stirring it. Shaking it... I just couldn't. It was a pistachio iced latte. Now I don't know if something was spoiled... I cannot see that being the case, because I had oat milk. Maybe the coffee wasn't fresh? I don't know but if you go through my reviews, you can see I rarely leave negative feedback I just hate to do that... I just couldn't let this one slide. Ambience is nice. They had the door open, which I didn't stay inside because it was too warm in there. There's outdoor seating as well. The staff were eh, one guy seemed like he was in a good mood there... they others must not have wanted to be there (which I could understand)

I was looking for a good baguette in my neighborhood for a while. But as simple as a baguette may seem, making a tasty one is an art. I was running some errands when I suddenly felt pekish. I saw on Yelp that there was an "authentic French bakery" nearby and decided, "Why not?" Originally, I was thinking of getting a quiche, but as I got into the store, I decided to switch to an avocado egg sandwich. I am sure quiche is good, but I was impressed by the sandwich. It came on the plate with very fresh salad greens. Greens there fresh and sauce tangy, just what one needs to cut through the richness of avocado and egg. I think I had an entire Avacado cut on it. The avocado itself was just right. But the star of the show, for me, was a baguette! I inhaled the entire dish and asked if they sell baguettes on their own, which they do. The bakery associate told me they just ran out, but they are baking new ones now. If I wait 10-15 minutes, I will get a freshly baked one. I could not believe my lack. They came as promises and they were great, just smell alone was to die for There are so many other things I want to try, so I'll definitely be back. Thank you guys, you all made my day!

Overall, a really nice spot for a casual brunch or sweet treat. I'd definitely come back!

The service was good, there was only one worker and it look a bit for us to get our drinks because she was both making drinks and taking orders. What we ordered: - Hojicha tea - Mojito Lemonade We didn't love our drinks but we also didn't hate them. My Mojito Lemonade didn't have a lot flavors of any kind. Not in lemony, minty, sugary - which is all the things I think it when I think of a mojito or lemonade. My husband got the hojicha iced tea. We've only ever had other hojicha in a latte and asked if they made those but was told that they didn't. It was not bad by any means just different. I didn't know what to really expect but look forward to coming back to try other items but they do have a lot of offer.

It's completely okay for the pastries being outsourced but at the end of the day, it either tastes good or doesn't and unfortunately, for its a hidden cafe it was one disappointment after the next when it came to the food. Also, the cost of one shoprite apple turnovers from the cafe buys you the whole case at shoprite which is *actually* the same exact food. The breakfast sandwich was the most unflavorful and bland breakfast sandwich I've ever had, counting both outside and even at home. It was difficult to take a third or fourth bite of any of the food. The coffee also did not stand out to me in any way. Coming in very hungry, I was excited and while food typically tastes better when hungry, I just couldn't enjoy it. with this experience, I have to give the food a 2/5 If you're looking for a spot to hangout or get some work in, I'd say it's worth visiting. It is decorated nicely and has board games and a decent amount of seating and some mini tables. It looks like a feel good place people can stop by to sit and relax for a little bit. Service is fine, the owner is chill and nice to talk to.

(My fav color) Tons of ube and pandan and coconut goodies that go beyond your basic desserts, it truly was so hard to choose. My family doesn't eat eggs and I wanted to bring back something for them and the girl at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful at directing me towards suitable desserts. Also love that it seemed like a small family owned operation I opted for the calamansi drink which was perfect for a 90 degree spring day and a pandan coconut pudding to bring home. I wish the pudding was a bit less sweet (I tend to dislike overly sweet things) but overall, this is the most extensive filipino dessert place I've found in the tri- state area and I will be back if I'm around somerville again

Everything here is lovingly crafted by Kathy, the owner, who makes items from scratch, including their ice cream. You can truly taste the difference: fresh ube, no artificial flavors. Just pure goodness. Kathy and her husband take great pride in their Filipino menu, offering a variety of delightful treats centered around the beloved purple yam. Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is ube, and why is it so popular? Contrary to popular belief, ube isn't a fruit. It's actually a purple sweet potato that's highly sought after in the Philippines. If you love taro, you'll love ube even more. It's a staple in many Filipino desserts and dishes, known for its rich flavor and vibrant color. If you're in search of delectable drinks and cookies, this is your spot. Their signature ube drinks range from floats and lattes to coffees, milk teas, and even ice cream. All with delicious bits of real ube in every sip. Not in the mood for ube? No problem. They offer a wide variety of options, including their Pinoy series, pandan drinks, Milo drinks, matcha, cold brews, and more. And I have to mention, they now serve Vietnamese coffee, Filipino-style. It's pure heaven in a 16 oz cup. The shop itself has great lighting, perfect for IG, Yelp photos, or even vlogging. Just note that seating is very limited.
