There are better gas stations in Skokie, but BP is conveniently situated right off of I94. Everywhere else I know of is kind of a traffic challenge to get there. If you don't have the time, BP does in a pinch. It would seem that the tiny garage at this BP is set up to do minor repairs to your vehicle, and perhaps oil changes. I have used BP for their air pump, and they will lend you a pressure gauge if you need one. One time my ex-boyfriend's Mustang broke down and they allowed him to leave his car in that garage while he sorted out towing arrangements. I think he might have actually fixed his own car and went to get parts for it. Bottom line, the attendants here are always courteous.

Octanes here are 87, 89 & 93 if you plan on going to Marathon check their octanes. I don't agree with Roberto when he says "Gas is Gas". Octane is king and different gasoline companies have different versions of pure. Your car handles it all differently. Luxury and sports cars need a better octane, standard cars only need regular. Do some testing on your own, I can notice the slight changes between using crappy cheap gas versus silver at Shell or BP. Please don't put E85 in your car unless the car manual says so, just because the pump is there doesn't mean your car can run on it. So many people just assume and love that lower price without thinking. Not a great idea. This station has a convenience store and air for your tires. You can borrow a tire gauge with your ID, from inside.

The gentleman working (I couldn't read his name tag but name began with an S) was so kind and I wonderful to me. He pulled out a folding chair from the back and let me sit inside to stay warm, asked me if I needed anything, and at no point seemed bothered/annoyed by my presence. He was chatty and friendly with all the customers that came in and I just felt like he went above and beyond to be a kind human. IT NEVER WORKS because owners LIKE FIRONZ PREVENT the pump from redeeming more than .50 per gallon. On 1-28-25 the pump asked if I wanted to redeem 1200 points and I hit YES. I purchased almost 10 gal of gas but DID NOT RECEIVE $1.20 OFF as per the MARIANO'S/BP PROMOTION. The owner, FIRONZ prevented the promotion. When I mention the discrepancy of .70 per gallo, totaling $7 he just yelled at me and told me "Call BP". I told him HE was the owner and HE set the pump. The pump ASKED if I wanted to redeem 1200 pts but only allowed 500pts. This happens at practically all BP stations as owners do no want to participate in the BP promotion, even though legally BP requires them to do so. FIRONZ ripped me off $7, my fuel pts will expire today and this has happened all year. MARIANO's and BP your fuel rewards is engaging in deceptive practices and is a RIP OFF. BP, this owner, FIRONZ, violated the terms of his ownership. Canceling my Boosting delivery service which give 2X fuel rewards points, because most of the points go expired as BP STATION OWNERS IGNORE THE PROMOTION, limit it to 500 pts, not 2000pts. .50 per gal, NOT $2 per gal. While at this BP Gas I figured what the hey, so I put some gas in my tank as well along with grabbing a bag of lemon-heads to combat my distress of dealing with Sunday drivers along my route. I have to say that after reading some of the reviews it looks to me that this gas station made some changes, or maybe I came at a much more tranquil time of the day. This place does not strike me as the place that many described in their one-star Yelp reviews listed. Most of those reviews are not by regular users, so I would not consider their irrelevant reviews because they just may have had a bad day. Gas is $3.06 per gallon with regular cash and $3.09 per gallon with regular credit. Only 9 cents cheaper than the Shell station on Crawford that has inconsistent up-and-down prices throughout the week. My only complaint about this gas station is that it is tiny, which means that it can get congested if you go at the wrong time of the day, so choose wisely if you visit. This was clearly a mistake, the cashier reported that I had to wait for the manager to come in he could not do anything. the manager later that day report that my coat was to big and pushed the wrong grade. ( I was wearing a waist length coat no way my coat changed the grade) then I was told if I do not know how to pump gas I should ask for help. There was nothing they could do as I clearly selected the wrong grade. It happens all the time you can change between grades before pumping is done.
