Giving 1 star because Yelp won't let me give any lower. AVOID this Walgreens pharmacy at all cost. I've been waiting to pick up a prescription that was called in 9 hours ago. Got a text 8 hours ago that it was ready for pickup. Drive thru was 6 cars deep so I went inside. You have to check in at a kiosk and then wait. And wait. I've been waiting here for 25 minutes trying to get a prescription that's been ready for 8 hours!!! The older woman at the counter could not be more rude. But seriously. Nobody is checking anyone out. You have to check in and wait for them to call you. Whzt happened to getting in line nf taling the next peron in line. There's little for me to say that others haven't complained about. I hate being one of these people, but I've not encountered a person more callous in a while. I arrived to have their shutters closed in my face. Literally. I didn't say a word. I waited at the store. When the reopened, they took everyone else. Apparently you're supposed to check in at the kiosk even if you're not here for a vaccine. When I told him that I've been here and he saw me prior to their break. He told me he wouldn't help me unless I check in at the kiosk. I said I've been waiting for like 40 min here to pick up antibiotics for a 5-yr-old, he told me "everyone is here for medication." I want to cry from the helplessness I feel waiting for my sons medicine as he lays at home crying from the pain--while this man at the pharmacy enjoys his ego trip--but I just sit here. Absolute worst pharmacy situation I've ever come across. Waited 10 minutes inside to talk to someone then figured out there is an IPAD to check into . Then I checked in and didn't get a notification till 15 minutes later after I gave up. I returned later that day and went to the drive through lane . She seems determined to prevent any use of Walgreens cash, discounts etc, I canceled an entire transaction rather than put up with her obstructionist behavior. I give up on Walgreens. The pharmacist that always smells like marijuana let me know I was racist when I asked for his name. Ok. Then he barred me from the store. Don't worry buddy. I had made that decision when your staff said my prescription would be ready in 30 minutes when I came yesterday. Your staff also had decided not to fill the prescription cause my insurance wouldn't cover it. I pay out of pocket when a doctor says I need pills. The prescription had been sent the day prior. This Walgreens is an absolute disaster. There are about 6 people working and a single person that only speaks a few words of English behind the register. Every time I've been here it has taken an hour to just have your name called to go up to the register, not because they're busy, because they are wildly unorganized, unprofessional, and unable to run a pharmacy. Most of the time there is only 2-3 people in line. After an hour the person tells you there are no prescriptions ready despite getting calls and texts from Walgreens telling me they are ready. I hate dealing with this Walgreens. They don't get prescriptions ready in a timely manner. Even antibiotics don't get filled for several hours. Their app will say one thing and then you get to the store and it's not ready, out of stock you name it. It seems like a continuous change of people there. The people there are so unprofessional!!! I have a medication that I've been taking for over 3 years, they refuse to keep it in stock. I am told to call them two weeks prior to refill and request they order it. First of all, why does this Walgreens location have two Yelp pages? It's not one for the pharmacy and one for the store. They're right next to each other on the Yelp map and the other one is not the correct address, this one is. Pharmacy has gotten better in the last few months than it's been in the last 7 years. However, the line is always 10-15 minutes in-store. They usually have 1 register open, I've seen two a few times, and three ONCE; they have four... no one ever says "hello, how are you today?" They only say "next in line" as if you're moving through a prison queue. They also don't hand out coupons when they print. The store is even worse. I've had employees yell at me, talk down to me, disrespect me, and lie to me. I know what the company and corporate policy is and I follow the rules, not bending or skirting them. They tell me I have it wrong, despite being told on recorded phone calls (this call may be monitored or recorded, which means it is either one or both, 100%) what the truth is. They won't price match their own company's app, they won't accept coupons, and they always just look at you like you're mentally ill. SOME of the shift leaders are nice and some employees are helpful, overall it's always a negative experience going here. There are much better Walgreens. My suggestion is, if you have a problem, call customer service at +1 (800) 925-4733 or consumer relations at 800-289-2273, while you are in the store and file a complaint while you are on camera so they can cross reference your recorded call with a time stamp on the camera. read more

Checked in for my 1pm RSV shot at 12;40. Was told by the tech that she'd checked me in. Watched her wipe her nose with her ungloved fingers along with every person behind the pharmacy counter. Does no one practice good hygiene? At 1.30 after getting a myriad of lame excuses I actually called the store manager to let him know that every customer in pharmacy complained about something and why did I make an appointment with no one else waiting for shots if appointment's mean nothing? He kept asking if I wanted to speak to a pharmacist! I'm IN the pharmacy! I finally had to ask the person giving me my shot to PUT ON SOME GLOVES. Not ever coming back. I came to pick up my two year old son's appointment here, I arrived in the drive thru which was super backed up but figured that's normal for pharmacies. When I arrived at the window the woman was very rude, she was saying there was no prescription that was sent in, when I knew it was and had the paper work. Keep in mind the prescription that was ordered is very commonly prescribed for children, 10 minutes goes by and she's insisting it is not in the system calling for all her other co workers to come look, I called his doctors office and was reassured they should have it. Right when she heard the phone call that I was on with the pediatrician saying they had it all of a sudden they had the prescription. Here's the best part, I was told an hour, after it was already over an hour since the prescription was sent it, when I told her my son needs it she all of a sudden then said thirty minutes (how does it drop time that fast I have no idea). When I asked her if there was any way to get it faster due to the fact my son needs to get ready for bed and it's already been over and hour she started yelling and demanded I moved my vehicle. This store has terrible customer service and will not be coming back. The store itself looks very well kept and looks like it would be great all around but unfortunately that is not the case. As someone who is in and has been in customer service for a long time, I would never talk to somebody the way I was talked to. read more

I do not usually go to this Walgreens but went for a vaccine visit scheduled online. The wait in the pharmacy for this Walgreens is a bit too much. The vaccine or clinic visits are to get in the same line as the customers being serviced by the pharmacy. This can be an issue if you are there for a scheduled appointment. While I waited in the line, I found out from a regular customer that the drive through and inside pharmacy lines are always long and the wait is sometimes long. I was able to make my appointment and then waited to get to see the practitioner. The front checkout was not too bad. The store itself appeared to have organized and clean isles. read more

l have multiple organ damage. After several unsuccessful surgeries, the doctors said I would have to live with the pain. I have a damaged pancreas that couldn't be repaired completely after a Whipple surgery. The Whipple damaged my small intestine and leaks Gastric Acid into my stomach, damaging hit daily. This pharmacist has screwed up my pain meds repeatedly over the last few months. When my doctor called in an early refill due to a severe Pancreatitis Flare Up, at first we were told it had to be ordered. After several agonizing days, when it arrived, the pharmacist abruptly changed his mind and refused to fill it. I've spent 2 days calling 15 pharmacies in seven local towns including Chicago. Only Walgreens has it and the pharmacist told me I'd just have to suffer until he feels like filling it. These people are heartless pigs and would STRONGLY discourage EVERYONE to avoid this pharmaceutical pit!!! read more

Worst customer service and worst pharmacy service! Grossly understaffed. Got a text that my medication was ready. Drive through was closed for no apparent reason. Went inside, waited in the back of 10 people waiting for their own prescriptions. Waited in line for 20 minutes and I just had to leave because 7 people were still in front of me. Tried calling pharmacy so I can get medication delivered, and waited on phone for 40 minutes! Told rep on phone that I was very unhappy, and he agreed that Walgreens needs to hire more staff. I will get the medication delivered for a $6.99 charge! This waiting and frustration when it comes to pick up my medication is a typical experience for me at this Walgreens. And when they do pick up after an hour wait, you are transferred to five different extension numbers , and then you hear a dial tone. And if you get a pharmacist tech, they are rude and nasty. Honestly the older Walgreens was better... New layout is great and fantastic new products but the store layout feels cramped. Or maybe I'm just used to the older store! New store is newer and brighter. Walgreens likes corner properties so I can see why logically they preferred this location... But the older one was better IMO. Today they called to say my script was ready for pick up but when i walked in they said it was in the vault and would take 30 minutes to get out. This used to be my go-to location but the pharmacy is beyond ridiculous. They have gotten very slow in the past year but I went for a PCR test and never got results so I called and the pharmacy tech was rude. Told me that stores don't receive results nor are they emailed but then when I inquired again, laughed at me on the phone and said "of course we email them." So, she was contradicting herself and laughing at customers. Finally spoke to a manager (the one nice employee) who found out that the pharmacy tech had NEVER mailed an entire box of completed Covid tests from 4 days prior and mine was still sitting in the box. I was ensured they would be mailed promptly. It has now been over 5 days since my test and I have no results. I called one more time and a different pharmacy tech began to yell at me when I told him that I was calling about test results. Walgreens corporate office has been responsive so if you have issues with this location, don't be afraid to file a complaint. All I want is my test results and more training for the pharmacy department so that they don't speak this rudely to other people. I will be finding a new location for all future medical needs. read more

When I do to pick up a prescription I have to decide whether to get annoyed at the drive-thru or inside the store. Once I sat at the drive-thru window for 20 minutes ringing the bell and no one came. When I called the store the next day and spoke with the manager he was not at all surprised. He said "we're very busy" Duh! then hire more people. read more

I do not usually go to this Walgreens but went for a covid booster vaccine appointment scheduled online. When I arrived there were two lines so I asked at the consultation window where to go. The guy said "just go over there, there is only one line". I waited about 15 minutes and the line did not move, 3 people in front of me were also there for vaccine appointments. No one at the pharmacy said anything to those waiting and when we asked again the guy behind the counter just pointed to the back and said "she'll help you". We were all still very unsure what was happening. Delays happened and that is understandable but the staff was rude and didn't communicate to those waiting at all. The pharmacy area was not clean and although there were several staff members behind the pharmacy counter, no one seemed to care at all about the customers. I decided to leave and reschedule elsewhere. Horrible service, did not instill confidence that the staff knows that they are doing. Don't go there for your vaccines! read more

The worst experience ever. The staff is so rude to customers. I went to ask an employee why a certain item was priced lower than the walgreens in Evanston and higher there. He did not know so sent me to look for the "manager". The "manager" was so mean to me because I asked to match the price and I had proof in my hands that the walgreens was selling it cheaper. She yelled at me in front of other customers. Rolled her eyes when I told her I would call corporate. She said " This is my store, I am the manager". Worst pharmacy service ever. My husband went to pick up my prescription for my diabetes. We have a history before where they didn't bill my blue cross blue shield. My husband mentions it to the pharmacy to make sure and double check. He ended up having to pay. She says ,"everything should have been through insurance already. You want it or not? Otherwise get out of line, I need to take care of the next customer." Turns out they billed a discount card instead of my insurance. My husband shouldn't have paid what he paid.
