I haven't experienced such horrible customer service like the one I just had a few hours ago here. Maybe there's a slight chance that management sees this and re-trains their staff. I went in to make returns. I walked up to the register, no one's there. A female worker (her badge indicated she's been with Walgreens for some time) finally saw me and rudely said, "What?" I said I needed to make returns. With a harsh tone she proceeded to ask me a series of questions and made some rude comments. "What's wrong w/ those?" "Do you have the coupon?" "People usually bring back the coupon." Apparently I was given a coupon when I made the purchase, but I had no idea you had to return that too (never had this issue with previous returns), also, I don't even know where it is. I was returning 3 items from 2 different receipts and the whole process was handled so poorly. I've worked in retail, and she couldn't have made me feel like I'm causing a huge inconvenience. She even messed up, further slowing the whole process down (there's a bunch of people waiting behind me) and made it seem like I was the one at fault. The whole process could've taken less than 5 mins IMHO and w/o so much attitude :( read more

Uh, I can see why this Walgreens has the Yelp ratings it does. This review is about the pharmacy operation and staff. We were helping an extended family member with picking up her prescription. Her doctor at the walk-in clinic sends over an electronic prescription order. We go there to pick it up and the inept technician just says they don't have such an order. On a Saturday afternoon, I try calling the walk-in office to make sure it was sent to the right Walgreens but only get an answering service. As the clinic is still open and is thankfully only 10 minutes away, I drive back there and have it confirmed that the order did go to the right place and their paperwork says receipt was confirmed. We go back to this Walgreens and confront the inept technician and she hands it off to her colleague with her hands up and without saying a word and she walks away. The colleague, who was at least empathetic, has to fumble around and finally finds the order, so they do in fact have it but the pharmacist can't fill it quite yet because the order is not entered yet into their system (duh). By who or by what automation, I don't know, but eventually after another 30 minutes, the order is finally filled with some prodding. The pharmacist at least talked empathetically, but still seemed slow at filling the order given the hassle we had gone through. I asked where he inept technician went, and apparently it was the end of her shift, so she just walked out without saying a word to anyone, including the colleague and pharmacist, and apparently went home. This pharmacy is like being in the Twilight Zone, weird. Other family members have told me even when they get messaged that a prescription is ready, it really isn't when you arrive. My advice is to avoid this pharmacy if you can. If you can't, give them plenty of lead time for a prescription because it will take them that long. I'm just glad I'm not a regular customer here, and I have not experienced such buffoonery at other Walgreens pharmacies. On the plus side though, this is the only Walgreens I have seen that has a traffic light for their parking lot entrance, which is very convenient when leaving. read more

l have multiple organ damage. After several unsuccessful surgeries, the doctors said I would have to live with the pain. I have a damaged pancreas that couldn't be repaired completely after a Whipple surgery. The Whipple damaged my small intestine and leaks Gastric Acid into my stomach, damaging hit daily. This pharmacist has screwed up my pain meds repeatedly over the last few months. When my doctor called in an early refill due to a severe Pancreatitis Flare Up, at first we were told it had to be ordered. After several agonizing days, when it arrived, the pharmacist abruptly changed his mind and refused to fill it. I've spent 2 days calling 15 pharmacies in seven local towns including Chicago. Only Walgreens has it and the pharmacist told me I'd just have to suffer until he feels like filling it. These people are heartless pigs and would STRONGLY discourage EVERYONE to avoid this pharmaceutical pit!!! read more

This review is regarding the pharmacy. Terrible customer service number one. As I approach the counter, the pharmacist left, but mentioned my prescription was ready. Come to find out that he has to ask me some question- sign-off I guess on the cream I get every month! lots of red tape and negligence cause the pharmacist left for 25 minutes that I waited. I don't know if he ever came back. There were no other pharmacist who could sign off on my prescription. Even though my prescription was ready and in a bag for me to take. My god, the WG (Pharmacy) in Skokie, IL on Dempster and Crawford is a hell hole. The drive thru line is at least 45min. The speakers never work and you can't get out of the car line once in - even in an emergency. They trap you with structures on each side. It's a law suit waiting to happen. Then; If you go in and if certain individuals that perform check-out at the pharmacy "intentionally" go slow to aggreavate customers. They must hate their jobs and will actually smirk at you ifyou ask them any questions on estimated timing. It appears they HATE their cutomers. Just go elsewhere. There is a CVS and OSCO a few blocks away. read more

While staying in Skokie had a chance to pick some items up from this store after getting off the CTA yellow line and walking towards my friends place. Store was clean and staff was nice, very helpful as helpful as a store can get. Asked for some items but they don't carry souvenirs anymore, but they carried a few items I needed before taking off to the airport. Very convenient location. Plenty of parking. read more

I'm a nurse and will tell you if you're a patient please refill your rx somewhere else. stated my rescue inhaler needs prior auth. Took 2 weeks to get it only to be given the same generic one at register. Unbelievable incompetence. Had to cancel the generic rx only to tell me they didn't carry the brand approved by the insUrance. Had to be charged twice for the wrong medicine. Please go somewhere else. Just moved into the neighborhood a week ago and visited Walgreens twice. You management people have some nerve treating our community that way. The inside of the store is filthy, and the out side is even worse. You come in take our money with no problem and treat our community like some 3rd world country. I've recently picked up two prescription there. The first time, it seemed like the 3 people behind the counter were completely confused and chaos prevailed. The second time, different staff in the pharmacy and it was much calmer but I ended up waiting 3x the estimated wait time. I don't mind waiting or even coming back to pick up my RX but please don't set an expectation that I won't wait long when I could be doing other things with my time. This is for the pharmacy only. Slowest most painful process I've seen anywhere. With 5/6 people behind the counter why it takes 30 minutes for anyone to get their stuff just disappoints beyond belief. I put in a prescription on a Monday, went to pick it up On Thursday, and still waited 45 minutes even after multiple texts saying it's ready. They frantically searched the store for any sign of my paper prescriptions from the doctor which I honestly think they lost. They don't look you in the eye except one or 2 of them. In reality ZERO stars. Hands down worst customer service I have ever experienced. Pharmacy is ALWAYS chaotic, zero communication, rude & poorly informed staff, no one ever seems to know what's going on, if you call and ask questions you are interrupted and given excuses and fast talk. And this is what the pharmacy was like pre-COVID! It is absolute nonsense. I am only here because Target CVS is no longer in network with my BCBS insurance. This review is for the pharmacy. I absolutely loathe coming here to pick up meds and have been too lazy to switch locations since it's the closest to the house. Each time my doctor calls in a prescription and I go to pick it up (sometimes hours later), this place is never ready. Today, I went to get a nebulizer (a medical device that's prepackaged in a box) that was verified in stock...I get there and had to wait 20 extra mins for them to FILL the prescription. What exactly are they filling?? There are no meds with it, it comes in a freakin' box!!!! One of the first pharmacy experiences I have had. The thing is, it's not just once or twice. It happens every time I come in to pick up a prescription. The most annoying part of it all is when thy quote you 15 minutes in store and then on top of that some other employee says another 15 minutes. They also send text messages saying prescriptions are ready to be picked up but there are no prescriptions ready! I have had a doctor call in during the afternoon for me to pick up some antibiotics, but a couple of hours later I go to pick it up, they say they don't even have the prescription order. I mean come on man. And then they have the audacity to tell you that it's in the system now when you give them a hard copy and you have to wait 30 min more to get it finally. read more

I wish I could really give zero star. The front end of the store is very friendly; however, the problems arise as you gain more experience with this store's pharmacy. They are really slow. Waiting time to be called your name (just to drop Rx or pick it up) could last anywhere between 10-35 minutes. That is ridiculous waiting time. Some of the pharmacy technicians do not even know their jobs properly as they give you wrong answer. Their pharmacy needs to upgrade their speed or they will lose their most of their customers if CVS were to open nearby them. read more

The custoner service was horrible. I live in the city and I called ahead of time to confirm if this Walgreens had the specific item I needed. The customer service said they had a lot in stock. The store closed at 10 so I quickly drove to this walgreens at 9:45 to get it. When I got there, I was misinformed and they did not have any in stock. One of the workers couldn't even help me figure out who I talked to on the phone. It's not like they had a lot of staff working at that hour. read more

Wow I am shocked at all the bad reviews. I like the staff here and the pharmacists are wonderful to me. We've been going here for over 10 years. But I have had a problem with management. Policy is apparently "don't trust the customer". When some items were missing from my bag the management insisted that they saw me on video leave with those items. I said that was not possible and emailed corporate. But all corporate does is forward your messages back to the store management, who I guess are required to call you and go thru the same excuses in a hostile way. I couldn't believe how rude they were, so I asked to see the video that shows me leaving with my items and they said it's against store policy. That's just not how you manage a store. They should show this video, work with the customer to find out what genuinely happened, and above all, trust that the customer is telling the truth. read more

Employees don't acknowledge you, been rung up wrong on multiple occasions(only reason I stop by cause it close to work, but even that isn't becoming worth it to stop here), they would often Blaim their screw up on the customer, seen this happen to myself and other customers. Finally got sick of it and asked for a manager after they rung me up wrong again, and instead of making it up me th paying customer, they threaten to call the police after I showed proof they were lying. I come to this Walgreen all the time. They have the rudest customers service ever. Not to mention the people in the pharmacy don't know what they are talking about and are clueless when you asked them a question. I went to pick up a prescription there and after sitting there for 15 minutes they tell me my prescription was filled at another Walgreen. Went to that Walgreen and they told me they didn't have anything on file for me. while I was sitting there it looked to me as if they didn't know what they where doing. Anyone missing some wedding pictures? Quick summary - I took several disposable cameras into Walgreen's for developing. They promised the pictures in 5-7 days, which I thought was extreme, until I learned that they only send the film out to be developed once a week. After a week, I returned and still no pictures. They said it might be two weeks and they promised to call. After two weeks, I go back in and the pictures have arrived. I asked the store manager - Mr. Coleman, why no call? He says. "We never promised to call." I let it go and hand him my coupon ($11.99 per disposable camera.) Manager: We can't accept this coupon, it's for 24 exposures and you had 25 pictures developed. Me: It was a 24 exposure camera. Manager: Yes well we put one or two extra frames in each camera and you used them, so no coupon. Me: So if there were 25 pictures, that means every picture came out? Because I was told you only charge for developed photos. Can I see? Manager: Not until you pay. So do you want them or not? I pay the $60 to develop the four cameras and go home. It turns out that not only didn't many pictures come out (under or over developed, or nothing discernible in the photo) but one of the rolls wasn't even ours. It was someone else's wedding photos. It continues.... So I call the store and tell them I got the wrong pictures. They say, "could you describe what your pictures looked like?" WHAT!!! I don't know, I never saw them. But it was my daughter's camera, so I suppose they feature a number of college kids smiling and acting goofy. Wouldn't it make more sense to search by order number, or drop off date, or under the name of the person who's complaining that instead of wedding pictures, he got pictures of a bunch of smiling college kids? So if anyone is missing some wedding pictures, I have them - and they came out very nice. read more

I want to start off by saying that I would give this place zero stars if it was possible. A lady, she refused to give me her name, decided to make a scene about me stealing. I was only trying to grab some beef jerky and a drink, but all of a sudden she decided to call all the employees to come up to me to direct me to leave the store. I eventually refused to leave the store, and paid for my food. This place must have the worst customer service in the world. I mean seriously???
