It definitely seems to be a popular spot - for a Saturday morning, the line was about 20 people deep! Lots of parking and it moves quickly, fortunately, so this wasn't too much of an issue. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Service was great! The cashier who helped us out was friendly. The latte was nice and smooth and well-balanced. It wasn't too sweet at all and IMO had the perfect amount of ice lol. Our drinks were ready about 10 minutes after ordering. They had a decent pastry selection too - I'd come back to try their lavender latte the next time we're in the area! They have a small patio, but definitely don't expect any seating to be available (and no bathroom, either).

When I heard about a business on the Central Coast that was solely dedicated to chai tea, you cannot imagine my excitement. Right now, Naturally Chai does not have a brick and mortar and complete all their sales virtually. It was very easy to go onto their website and order a chai kit. It was also pretty reasonably priced for the amount of chai you recieve and all the cute accessories to go with it. When I finally received my kit, I was blown away with the flavor!! I am not exaggerating when I say that this chai knocked my socks off. It was extremely flavorful and spicy. Just how I like it! The one thing I will mention is that this chai definitely has caffeine. I did not know that when I made myself an entire pot and was bouncing off the walls! The owner, Nikita, is a real gem and is truly passionate about her chai recipe that has been passed down in her family for generations. I am a huge fan of her and her chai! The place is very cute little mom and Pop shop. they have cake slices of cakes, other pastries, and also coffee that you can purchase from them also as well as cookies. To say I am disappointed in the $70 Birthday cake my husband purchased is an understatement…read more He ordered a lemon cake with raspberry preserves with buttercream icing. What we received was a dry cake with hardly any flavor. My Mother thought it was just a yellow cake, she couldn't even taste the lemon. And she is an experienced baker. She made our lemon and raspberry wedding cake, that my husband was trying to recreate. The raspberry "preserves" were gelatinous, like pie filling from a can. Preserves should be a jam like consistency, only with larger fruit pieces. But sadly, this was goopy and artificial tasting. And the buttercream was greasy, not creamy, like it was made from Crisco shortening (not butter), sugar and water. It didn't even have any flavor (maybe they forgot to put vanilla extract in it?) Even the construction of the cake was poor. They clearly didn't put enough batter in the pans. Normally you shave the rounded top off to make it flat. This bakery just added tons of icing in an attempt to make up for the rounded edges. Which also meant there were barely any raspberry "preserves" in between the layers. And last but not least. When my husband special ordered the cake (in person) he asked for white sprinkles. When he arrived to pick up the cake, it wasn't ready. And they told him they didn't have white sprinkles. And offered to cover the entire cake in tiny rock hard pearls, that are typically only used sparingly for decorative purposes. Because they are so hard, many decorators recommend removing them before eating! My Dad bit into it and said it was like trying to eat buck shot. My Father has never met a cake or sweet he didn't like, until now. He didn't want another piece during his entire visit. My mother and I didn't even finish our first piece. To charge $70 for this 8" cake was just criminal. I would have returned it if I could.

The cake donut was described as a "premium" option, which surprised me because it felt pretty standard. The coconut topping was minimal, just a light sprinkle, and the frosting was unusually heavy and thick. It didn't taste like a typical glaze or bakery frosting--instead it reminded me of the dense, processed frosting you'd find on packaged snack cakes. I ended up peeling most of it off and wouldn't order it again. The sugar donut itself also didn't stand out. It had an odd aftertaste that reminded me slightly of cinnamon, though I'm not sure if that was from the oil or the dough. Overall it didn't taste very fresh, and I didn't enjoy it enough to finish. Overall, the pricing is reasonable for the area, but the quality didn't match expectations. I actually ended up throwing the sugar one away and eating the cake donut after peeling off the frosting. The shop itself feels more like a small diner counter than a dedicated donut shop, with a few donut options alongside a basic counter setup. I wouldn't return based on this visit.

Take a careful read of the other Yelp reviews. I'm not the only one saying this. I encourage anyone seeing the need for improvement here - take your complaints to both Starbucks corporate, and Safeway corporate. Tell the Safeway store manager. What bothers me is the way the employees and manager goes out of their way to lie and harass the customers. If they put a fraction of that cynical, rude, mean behavior into actually doing their jobs - it would be a great Starbucks. This looks like a management issue to me. The employees would not behave this way if the manager had actual Starbucks or even Safeway values. Furthermore, a lot of the health violations and cruel behavior is directed by the manager herself.
