This review isn't about the store - although I could probably write a thesis about the difference in quality between the Japanese and American versions of 7 Eleven. In fact, it was the story I read a month ago that this particular 7 Eleven is selling Japanese 'konbini' egg salad sandos. Well, you could've knocked me over with a paper towel. Not that I'm an expert but I'm quite familiar with the konbini sandos available in Japan, whether it's Family Mart, Lawson's, and yes, 7 Eleven. They're simply the perfect sandwich because they're simple, satisfying, and uniquely delicious. I bought the $5.29 Simply Egg Salad Sandwich which touts the use of "fluffy milk bread" (photo: https://yelp.to/mI4kqEwrXN). My verdict? Meh. The problem was the milk bread which tasted nothing like its Japanese counterpart. It was thick and chewy, the antithesis of the melty, slightly sweet version you'd find in Tokyo. They used reduced fat mayo and Dijon mustard but to little avail. They couldn't even bother to trim the crust. Man, was I disappointed. Came here for the highly anticipated Japanese egg salad sando (highly disappointed, but will talk about that later.) The store itself isn't bad and is actually one of the nicer looking 7-Elevens I've been to recently. It's a basic convience store. Quick in and out too grab a snack, drink or minor basic items while on the go. The store itself was clean and well organized. I came on a random Tuesday for "lunch" and the cashier working was friendly enough. The layout of the store is pretty efficient to where you can just make one big loop to be able to grab evening you need. Now for the Japanese egg salad sando; there is much hype the some US stores will start getting some of the Japanese 7-Eleven items, including their egg salad sando. I went to 7-Eleven specifically to try this item and was 100% super disappointed. The new milk bread the sandwich is made on is an improvement compared to the traditional sliced white bread, but it was pretty dry, not that soft and barely had any sweetness that milk bread is known for. The egg salad filling is not the correct recipe. You can tell there is no sugar in it, and you can taste the vinegar is the American style mayo (no Kewpie mayo!) The filling is basically an overly bland American style egg salad with barely any seasoning. I would not call this a Japanese style sando at all... just a bland American egg salad sandwich on a sad excuse of milk bread. I'm not going to knock stars off for the sad sandwhich, but if you are looking to try their Japanese counterpart items, it's a huge pass. read more

A friend and I were across the street when we decided to go to 7-Eleven. We walked in on Friday, July 13th around 9:30pm. We had no intention of getting any food, but while standing in line, we decided to get some mini tacos. Ended up getting four for $1. Pretty good deal. I didn't have any, but they did seem to do the job and fulfill that snacky craving. We were drinking across the street, so we it helped to sop up the alcohol. Checking out was fairly easy and fast. This may be the worst 7-Eleven in San Francisco. Cranky man behind the counter, store isn't very clean and truthfully they have almost no fresh food. Four times I've been in and they didn't have the breakfast sandwich they sell out of donuts really and early I don't think they bring enough in to stock the way they should. Yes there's a pandemic going on and everything's a mess for everyone right now and sometimes difficult but this store needs to get their act together. read more

Quick service but also the guys working here are running around extremely busy and a lot of their customer service comes off rude, snappy and dismissive. I'm sure it's not a walk in the park working at 7 11 but often when I'm getting this attitude it is also unwarranted from anything I am doing. They are def not your friendly neighborhood corner store although currently I only go over here because every other store overcharges on items. Some guys at this store get really annoyed about using the rewards to pay less, even when the place isn't busy they are rushing around and in a hurry to rush customers out and annoyed with questions. I'd say 2 out of the 5 guys I see work here don't do that every time they see me. Oh well now I know what to expect from them. Also the security guys are always on me watching for me to take something but I come to this store almost every day and buy things every time so I do spend a lot of money here and don't deserve that. I was short changed by an expert cashier this Saturday night. or was 7-Eleven cheated over nine cents? No arguing. i just walked away over the Eleven Cents (ironic). I made a Cash payment for a candy bar $2.39. Two bucks and two quarters taken from a coin purse. Cashier thanked me I asked for my change. Was told I paid $2.30 - a quarter and a nickel. Update and alert.... If you shop here based on my experience you are probably being charged more than the listed price. Ask them for a printed receipt and make certain they did not charge you more than the price listed on the counter. It seemed to me every time I shopped here the cost was off but it is hard to tell they way they run the place. When you go to the checkout they just ring it up and never give you a receipt. Last night I got some of my usual items down the street on sale and because of this only got one item at 7-Eleven. I was supposed to be charged $5.49 for hot food but they rang up $6.60 which is more then 10% over what was due. Why? The prices in their computer do not match the prices on the counter. This is true for hot food, items on sale and just about anything else which is supposedly on special. If you think you are getting the sale price you probably are not and probably are being charged the full price regardless of the price on the counter. I called the gal last night on this and she said that is what it rang up - This is illegal, they must sell an item for what it is marked on the counter by law. The prior time I was in I was charged about $3 too much on a couple of items. San Francisco is expensive enough without getting charged 10% more than you think each time you go in there. Be careful if they say there are out of an item and buy another item to go with it. I once wanted to buy diet coke and they only had one bottle so the guy at the counter said why don't you get Pepsi to go with it. The reason is they will charge you full Price on both of them. I had asked if I could have the last bottle for the sale price since they did not have two of them and they said no. Most places will say yes it is not my fault they were out of stock. The biggest problem here is poor attitude, poor customer service and greed. I think this place is a family owned franchise as the employees look like they might be related. I'm going to start with No parking, they have two bathrooms and no one of them available they are out of service? !!! Customer service is beyond bad. Watch out for Fahd. He has an attitude and chooses his customer, not the next in line. Also watch out for expired merchandise including mixed cut fruits. I normally go for the really nice iced coffee and a donut on my break from work BUT after seeing the donuts filled with flies- like the fruit flies it turned me off! And I bought a hotdog and added my tomatoes onions and to my surprise it had a bug smashed on the tomato! Totally ruined my dinner! The floors were ever so dirty and just didn't have a good feel at all! Employees are pleasant but this location needs help and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't pass the sanitary test. I was sold an expired 7-eleven watermelon flavored drink at this location. There is no expiration date printed on the bottle, but from taste alone it was clearly rotten. I called asking to have the random number printed on the bottle translated to understand how rotten the drink was.
