I WANT 99% OF MY STAR BACK! I met the rudest man working the counter.I asked for two quick picks.He printed them out and turned and looked at me yelling WE DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS!! I just looked at him shocked.I had in my left hand my phone and a Tesla Key while my other hand was in my pocket getting my cash.I was also looking at the scratchers trying to decide on which one to buy. I was having a hard time deciding because I couldn't see threw the dirty glass on the counter, so I looked up at him in shock and I guess he knew I was bothered by the way I looked. So he yelled at me. Do you have a problem with that and I just looked at him and he said do you have a problem with that? He said that what he does because some people try to pay with credit cards. I said to him if that's what you do then why didn't you do it before you print the tickets? Then he said, well do you have a problem with it?Cause I will just buy the tickets for me..First off I don't us credit cards and I also know you can't buy lotto tickets with credit cards.I know the rude cashier probably thought the Tesla Key was a credit card in my left hand.I told him I don't like your energy so you can keep the tickets .As I was walking out the door he needed to be a ASS HOLE and say you have a nice day.I responded with I always have nice days!I will make sure to tell everyone in the neighborhood to never go in this 7-Eleven EVER! and do business. I think we should do some training on customer service at7 Eleven Avenida pico.And please use some glass cleaner& sanitizer on those counters.So NASTY! Just like his customer service. read more

Walked in and went straight to back to grab a drink and as I open fridge some Asian worker with no uniform just gets infront of me and starts fixing the drinks in that fridge I was on then as he moved grabbed my stuff and was 2nd out of 3 people in line to pay and he called the girl behind me over to the front while I was clearly next and as she left the Asian guy told the other worker that he likes it when she goes to his store because she's very pretty lol. I know 7-11 isn't known for it's customer service, but a couple of the employees here literally go out of their way to make your life miserable. Specifically Milan, the guy has the emotional range of a wet mop. I always say hello, good morning, good afternoon, guy just stares at me like I'm there just to ruin his day. Guy denied beer to a dude who must have been at least in his 60's because his ID was expired. Really? They say they HAVE to scan your ID then 1/3 of the time they forget so it's clearly a lie. This morning I bought a Starbucks iced coffee drink which had some dents in it, don't care about dents. However as soon as I walked outside and opened the beverage, it's entire contents was foamy froth as if it had been shaken and then frozen because the fridge is probably kept slightly too cold. I went back inside and said "I'm sorry can I exchange this for a new one? This one is not drinkable." The man literally told me No, and said I'd have to purchase a new one. Are you f'ing kidding me? I stop by this 7-11 5 days a week, and in my history at going to 7-11's I've probably spent thousands of dollars in my life and the ONE time I ask them to replace a product that was BAD I get told no? What sort of shit is that? Unbelievably horrible business practice. I didn't come back later in the day, I didn't do anything shady. I left my house without sandals because we live in a beach town and I have literally gone into restaurants and stores with no shirt or shoes. I entered this 7/11 and was screamed at by the clerk for not wearing shoes because "coronavirus" even though both the patrons in front of me had no mask on. He denied me service for not wearing shoes at an ocean front 7/11 because of a upper respiratory disease while I was wearing a mask but no slippahs. Makes perfect sense. This 7-11 really is in a great location it's walking distance from North Beach and the Train Station. If that were not enough they actually have a decent size parking lot and all the cold slurpees you could want. I've been coming here for a long as I can remember as I've spent many days on the sand at North Beach with this store so close it's always treated me well! Back in the day when we would come here they had video games we spent many hours in the store playing Mortal Kombat, & Street Fighter good memories! All in all this is your typical SevE but this one was also once shown on Unsolved Mysteries because some shady character used the pay phones that are no longer here to call for money transfers. It's always clean, the staff super friendly and today, I showed up, walk in and.... a Fresh pot of Blueberry Coffee is being brewed as I walked in because the awesome clerk saw me pull in the parking lot. I needed my scratchers cashed- super simple right? Ivan the cashier was beyond rude when after two scratchers came up as no wins he asked if I had checked them. Of course I scratched them but wanted to double check... he then said he didn't want to check the final two scratchers (I had 4) and told me to go check them. Totally eluding that I was shady or something for asking him to check. I already knew I had won $20 on one he hadn't checked yet so when I checked of course it came up as a winner. Then when I had to get back in line AGAIN, he was totally rude to me and treated me like I was doing something shady! Only in the area for a few days and have already stopped in here a few times. The store is clean and well stocked. They even carry my favorite Mexican popcicles that I thought were only avail on the east coast. Service is quick but I did give it 4 stars instead of 5 since the level of friendliness could be improved. I found one of the other yelp reviews to be humorous. How do they know he was thinking she was going to steal? Did they ask him? Maybe he thought she was attractive so he was watching her? I was in the area visiting and driving along Coast Highway when I spotted this 7/11. I had just recently been screwed by the Powerball awarding 400+ Million to someone other than me but that did not stop me. I marched right into this 7/11 and bought me some more tickets. Imagine my surprise after buying my lottery tickets I decided to get some water in the back of the store when I spotted surf wax? Yes surf wax. Not only did this 7/11 sell surf wax but they have various forms of it. If you tend to be a 'Sex Wax' or a 'Sticky Bumps' type of surfer this 7/11 has got you covered. Heck they even sold basecoat. Minus the surf wax being sold here this location is your typical 7/11. This location sells food, beer, wine and everything else you might find at another location. This location was clean and smelled clean. The employees working here looked like they just got done surfing. It is nice to see a business like this employing the locals. If and when I am back in the area I will without question come back here. read more

Ohhh 7-11 you are a lifesaver on a cold night when a certain somebody needs a break from demanding clients. Dropped 3 clients off an NA meeting off of El Camino Real. I was cold and in desperate need of a caffeine fix. Stopped by 7-11 and got a Mint Hot Chocolate. Got a small for $1.29. Wonderful. Nice and warm. Love it. Also got a Coke Zero for more caffeine later and also a bag of chips. Caffeine, warm-ness and munchies make me happy on a cold night when I'm by myself with a bunch of insane people. Store is in a nice location by the beach, employees are nice and the store is clean and well kept up. I think I may be coming back. I like you dear 7-11. I think I should come back in the summer....I now remember how much I love 7-11's slurpees. Tasty. read more

The coffee is always hot and the pots are always full! I love it here in the morning. No waiting for baristas. No standing in line for 15 minutes. And no paying $5 for a cup of coffee that I am going to slurp down before I even get to work! The coffee bar has a bunch of different syrup flavors and this location always has at least four different flavors of coffee to choose from. And it's CHEAP! A huge plus - this is one of the few places in town to carry my favorite Japanese candy - Hi-Chew! And, they carry it in about 5 or 6 different flavors. This is a decent 7 Eleven. Pretty clean.. Tent lodging outside next door.. You can pee on any side of the building you want.. Super friendly staff for the most part! If you steal they post your photo up much like that Seinfeld episode when the grocery store posted up Jerry's clown check that bounced.. If they carried 16oz sugarfree RedBulls, I'd up this review to 5 stars. I deducted 2 stars because I always have to buy 2 REDBULLS! read more

All l wanted is some cash back to be able to pay for my parking spot since I didn't find any quarters in my pocket or any cash, I just wanted to spend about an hour maybe capture the sun taking a dip in the ocean... so I walked in and got myself a medium cup of coffee, french vanilla, which seemed to pour just water at the last third!!! yeah the coffee tasted a bit watery, but that's fine I'll drink it anyways, all I want is cash back, but once I get to the counter... BOOM NO CASH BACK, it's funny the thing asks you if you want cash back but you have to select NO!!! Milan, who works here, is one of the most unkind and one of the least decent people I've ever met. I've been going to this 7 Eleven for years and every time I am in there and he is working, he is chewing out customers and being a nuisance. His unprofessional behavior and bad attitude make this establishment unpleasant and it is quite shocking that he hasn't been fired. read more

If ever there were ever a less gracious, disrespectful, and rude person to work in an establishment it is Milan. Milan is the menacing older man who works at this 7 Eleven. He has consistently yelled at me and other customers when we come into the store. He is the WORST person I've ever seen in customer service and likes to pick fights with customers. He does not uphold the values of 7 Eleven because he is not focused on "making life easier for customers." Instead he antagonizes them. He should be relieved of service. I am a regular customer but where all other employees at the store are kind and hardworking, he has consistently shown rudeness and lack of service. He has gotten worse since COVID -19 because his ability to hide behind his mask has emboldened his disrespect for others. My advice to the owners of this store is to talk to other employees there as well as other customers regarding this person and his behavior. It would be in your best interests to find employees who value their jobs and their clientele. read more

This is just about the most picturesque mini-mart ever. Right off San Clemente North Beach, with a gorgeous ocean view right behind it. There's a steady corps of good folks working there, always nice and friendly. Unlike some 7-11's in the region, they don't let the spare-change guys congregate outside the door, which is nice. Easy access to the bus and the train, and if you want, you can buy a snack and crash on the grassy lawn outside the community center across the street. Or just take the two-minute stroll to the beach. And the parking lot is way easier to get in and out of than most in SC. Hot stuff on the grill, and the cold sandwiches are fresh. Tattoo mags by the door, and weirdo "grab bag" DVD's in a bin for a couple of bucks. All the standard candy, chips, and alcoholic beverages....docked 'em a star for their "no cash back" policy, which can be a pain sometimes. But no biggie. read more
