I found this little shop just about a mile off the highway and it had just opened. They are currently using a coffee from the Pittsburgh area called mechanics coffee. It is very smooth with great notes. Definitely check out the coffee machine. This is the first time I've seen this coffee machine and it's super cool. It makes the coffee taste that much better. I am generally very pleased with the staff and overall service levels however my general observations are the music is typically way too loud. Why have public seating established if you are unable to hear the person(s) you are entertaining. Also, apparently there was some sort of anniversary celebration in the South Parkersburg location as I was sitting there trying to enjoy some alone time and get some needed work done. A group of what appeared to be uniformed Starbuck employees paraded into the South Parkersburg location loud and with no regards for anyone else. Very Rudely interrupted! Also, if there was some sort of celebration would be nice to extend the celebratory sentiments to the customers that made it truly possible. As a 20-year business professional that is very well travelled. My experience has been the overall service in the Starbucks franchise in this region is sub-par with other regions of the country that I've travelled. Unfortunately, Starbucks and other similar services can get away with it because this Region expectations of service levels are much lower in my experience.

One of my hobbies during that time is to find the best place to get coffee. I travel on a regular basis to Parkersburg West Virginia area. Over the past 2 1/2 years I've tried as many coffee shops as I can find in town for the perfect cup of basic coffee. I want to like all of them, but typically the basic cup of coffee has not been enjoyable, to the point that I just buy coffee at Starbucks or Tim Hortons and Doctor it up with cream and sugar. Fortunately for me, last week, I happen to stay at a different hotel in downtown Parkersburg, and when I walked outside in the morning, there was a beautiful little coffee truck. I knew this little truck was put there just for me... and maybe the hundreds of people that come to it anyway. I immediately tried to order my go to coffee, which is a decaf coffee and I found out that they do not offer decaf coffee at this time. Whenever I try a new coffee shop, I always try the decaf and the regular coffee so I can make a fair review. So I ordered the regular coffee as well. if I remember correctly, they get their coffee sourced from Mission coffee out of Columbus Ohio. Well, I'm happy to say that they do Mission coffee's coffee justice. You can easily mess up someone else's coffee by brewing it incorrectly or using crap water, or not having well-maintained machines. This little truck has got it figured out! The next morning, I drove to their next location which was a little bit out of my way, but I made sure to get 2 cups of coffee so that I can have one for later in the day as well. This is the best cup of black coffee I have found in the Parkersburg, Marietta and Mineral Wells area. Coffee with a smile could also be one of their slogans. Every customer that walked up to the truck was greeted nicely and wound up having some sort of a conversation with the two ladies working the truck. The whole experience is pleasant for sure. My guess is that if my regular cup of black coffee is this good, then your mocha, frappe, extra hot,soy, no foam, whipped cream and sprinkles coffee is going to be wonderful. Support local.

There's one lady in particular that does not belong in customer service in any capacity who regularly works here. Two separate experiences where order was either incorrect or product was less than desirable I.e. $7 luke warm latte not fit for consumption. Upon politely asking for a correction you'd think that was the end of the world. Too many people take too many things too seriously these days. It's a shame. You're far better off going to some of the locally owned coffee shops and supporting small businesses that give back to our communities.
