Quite literally the worst Starbucks chain I've ever been to. And I try hard to avoid these corporate greed hungry companies. But sometimes convenience bites me. There's one lady in particular that does not belong in customer service in any capacity who regularly works here. Two separate experiences where order was either incorrect or product was less than desirable I.e. $7 luke warm latte not fit for consumption. Upon politely asking for a correction you'd think that was the end of the world. Too many people take too many things too seriously these days. It's a shame. You're far better off going to some of the locally owned coffee shops and supporting small businesses that give back to our communities. For over five dollars, your coffee should be hot. A very rude Italian looking lady with a messy bun was working the window. She was snarky with raised eyebrows and wanting to argue. She screeched at me that the turnaround time was 36 seconds which was a huge lie because the line was out past the parking lot to the road. A big truck was holding up traffic. She basically called me a liar, and I'll take my business to the Bodega. I don't need that attitude. read more

This location has been operational for two years and I've been going there with varying levels of frequency since they opened. Their customer service has always been weak. If you get acknowledged coming in the door that's as good as it will get. We only do mobile orders in 2020 due to the pandemic and the fact that their drive-thru is always slammed. I understand that they're swamped pretty much until after the sun goes down. However the quality and correctness of the drinks is very inconsistent and I don't really know why. Again, they've been operating for two years. I attached a picture of the drink I ordered with a picture of the drink from their website. I don't expect my drink to look as glamorous, but did you notice it's upside down? That's why I attached the photo. I've ordered a lot of these and generally I like them but this one is just straight coffee sitting on top of not-enough other stuff. This exact example of screwing it up is new, but we almost never have a visit to this Starbucks without issue. When you go in to get your mobile order you can see it's ready, but no one comes to check if you'd like to take it for several minutes. Every time it's like this. If you order a frozen drink it'll be melted. Their workmanship is inconsistent or lacking and their customer service is just lacking. We get friendlier and more attentive service at local gas stations. If you're closer to the Marietta or Parkersburg South locations I recommend trying them out. In two years they haven't improved at this one. I feel like having just one supervisor on the floor would help a lot. Someone to give drinks a glance to make sure they're not completely backward or to remind employees to greet and acknowledge customers. I've watched the baristas work behind the counter and they need more or better training. They don't work smoothly or efficiently or with any organization beyond basic. I would like to see this location improve because it's closest to me and will always be busy because it has an excellent location in town. read more

STAFF the best I've ever experienced at a Starbucks EVER. Personable. Efficient so key. They SPELLED MY HUSBAND's NAME CORRECTLY. Huge. Not terribly complicated if you are listening and this team killed it. Yesterday morning and again this morning. Ordered a Venti iced latte was handed a Venti cup with it not being filled. Was told this is how it always is when I this has never been the case not at this location or any location I had been too, the barista continued to try and tell me differently. It was super bold considering there is a DD and a Tim Horton down the road as well as a local coffee shop that makes great coffee. Ordered a Venti Iced Chai Tea and it was not filled to the proper order size. Then ordered a Dark Roast with pour over shot but for some reason these folks have no clue of the order since I had to prove and show the order. What can I say, but the Parkersburg area finally received a full fledge Starbucks. This is your typical Starbucks with an updated design. I'm impressed with the amount of space this location has as well as the ease of access. The Coffee here tastes the same (which is great when you are traveling) and the atmosphere is what you expect. I came in during lunch and the place wasn't that busy so access to the black liquid gold was great! I'm sure they'll add more local flare as they get their legs steady, but I left happy. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. read more

Poor attitude when even asking for a refund only for my drink. Asked for manager and got one promptly. Manager offered to pay for one on the house which is commendable, but I would rather see the $6 go to more training for employees. I've been here a few times in the past month since I've moved here - usually spend a few hours here to do work and every visit I've had no complaints. Today one of the baristas (Frank?) gave us samples of a cold brew he made himself - SO GOOD!! He was super friendly and spent time to talk to us about the whole process and how he made it. He even gave me tips on my coffee beans that they ground for me! This location is always nice to catch up with someone or do some studying because it's very spacious, has lots of outlets, and not too noisy. I hope it stays this way! read more

I'm only giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it hasn't been bad enough that I won't return, until December 31st around 5pm. Out of cake pops and coffee, sure they may have been busy things happen but it's the way you deal with it. One employee in particular was HATEFUL. one guest in the store said she scared her. I've had ONE experience at this Starbucks that made me keep coming back but every other has been nothing but rude but this one took the cake. Won't be going back to this one. We are glad to finally have a Starbucks. Parking can be tight you might need to use the PMC lot next door. The staff is well trained and helpful. There is usually a bit of a wait for your order. Drive thru cars can block parking lot during busy times. read more
