The store is always sort of dirty, cluttered and just not a good vibe when there. I hate to go here at night because of the people loitering on the lot and around the front doors. I just don't feel safe when stopping here at night.

One of my hobbies during that time is to find the best place to get coffee. I travel on a regular basis to Parkersburg West Virginia area. Over the past 2 1/2 years I've tried as many coffee shops as I can find in town for the perfect cup of basic coffee. I want to like all of them, but typically the basic cup of coffee has not been enjoyable, to the point that I just buy coffee at Starbucks or Tim Hortons and Doctor it up with cream and sugar. Fortunately for me, last week, I happen to stay at a different hotel in downtown Parkersburg, and when I walked outside in the morning, there was a beautiful little coffee truck. I knew this little truck was put there just for me... and maybe the hundreds of people that come to it anyway. I immediately tried to order my go to coffee, which is a decaf coffee and I found out that they do not offer decaf coffee at this time. Whenever I try a new coffee shop, I always try the decaf and the regular coffee so I can make a fair review. So I ordered the regular coffee as well. if I remember correctly, they get their coffee sourced from Mission coffee out of Columbus Ohio. Well, I'm happy to say that they do Mission coffee's coffee justice. You can easily mess up someone else's coffee by brewing it incorrectly or using crap water, or not having well-maintained machines. This little truck has got it figured out! The next morning, I drove to their next location which was a little bit out of my way, but I made sure to get 2 cups of coffee so that I can have one for later in the day as well. This is the best cup of black coffee I have found in the Parkersburg, Marietta and Mineral Wells area. Coffee with a smile could also be one of their slogans. Every customer that walked up to the truck was greeted nicely and wound up having some sort of a conversation with the two ladies working the truck. The whole experience is pleasant for sure. My guess is that if my regular cup of black coffee is this good, then your mocha, frappe, extra hot, soy, no foam, whipped cream and sprinkles coffee is going to be wonderful. Support local.

We decided to go in and look around. Upon entering we were greeted by Bill Park the third generation owner since his Grandad bought the store in 1938. This looks more like a miscellaneous store than a general store but it holds charm. The original shelves are still there, painted white and filled with new and very old items. Bill spoke to us about the history of the area and also the store itself was built in the 1840's. He had great knowledge of the area and told us some local lore. His store doesn't have a large selection of items of the food stuffs kind, but go in and take a load off while he tells tales of yesteryear.
