I was completing a door dash at this location highly unprofessional incident that occurred at the 7 Eleven on C ST in Oxnard CA. I have also been a 7Eleven customer for over a decade and order from this store myself through door dash.
I arrived at the store to pick up a door dash stack order for two customers. One customer had 9 items including two slurpees and the other customer had to items including a 7lb bag of ice. While waiting for the orders to be prepared Jaat asked me to make the slurpees and to shop for the other items (the bag of ice), to which I professionally and plainly told him that we door dashers do not make any of the items, nor do we shop at this location for the items. To which he instantly become upset and began speaking to the other staff member in punjabi while both looked over at me periodically.
After that, he (Jaat) grabbed the ice, he handed the ice bag and all the other items for each of the orders to me except the slurpees, and just stood there. I then brought the other items to my car while he was presumably thinking he'd be making the customer's two coke flavored slurpees as he should have been; however, when I returned into the store, the two slurpee cups and holder was still there on the counter, and Jaat was still just standing there. He then proceeded to pretend as if he didn't know what was in the bags he prepared despite verifying the number of items and the types of items with me prior to and while making the orders. He persistently pretended not to remember and asked me to walk all the way back to my car to bring the items back into the store to verify the items again. He was clearly retaliating because I told him that it's his job to prepare the items and retrieve the items for the customers door dash orders.
Although he was being very vindictive, I still walked all the way to my car, grabbed the items and brought them back into the store. He broke the seals open to only to see the items he already knew were in the bag were there as we both had already verified. He then waited around still pretending to not know what items were there and how many items were for each order even though he was continuously looking at the items in the handheld apparatus the store uses for Door Dash orders. At this time, he still hadn't made the two remaining slurpees. It has now been over 20 minutes and the items were very late. The customers were texting me repeatedly about how I was taking too long with their door dash orders although unbeknownst to them, I was being harassed and toyed with by Jaat about their orders. Things became so bad and disrespectful that even his coworker signaled to him that it was time to stop joking around and make the slurpees.
Overall, Jaat's behavior was highly disrespectful, unprofessional, and immature. He not only wasted my time and my ability to earn a living as we door dasher get paid per delivery, but he also wasted the time of each of the 7 Eleven customers. I had to profusely apologize to each customer about their orders being severely late because of his incredibly unprofessional, vindictive, and retaliative behavior. Due to the aforementioned, I have filed a complaint with Door Dash against Jaat and through with 7 Eleven. He must be contacted and professionally disciplined about his behavior. I also will no longer shop here as a customer. read more
