This place is a great place to stop on the way to or from the airport... cheap gas, good product selection. No complaints!

It's tucked…read moreinside Orlando Racket Sports in what feels like a pretty random strip plaza off OBT, but once you know it's there, it's absolutely worth seeking out. Matcha has officially exploded in the United States, and Saikō has clearly tapped into that culture. They have a really fun menu with creative combinations that go way beyond a basic matcha latte, but what really caught my attention was the Hojicha. I'm calling it now: Matcha was the beginning. Hojicha is coming next. Hojicha is roasted Japanese green tea, and it has a completely different flavor profile from matcha. It's smooth, earthy, nutty and almost toasted, without that grassy quality some people associate with matcha. The one I had at Saikō was absolutely delicious. I also love that they're not treating Japanese tea like a trend that needs to be watered down for everyone. There's some real creativity happening with the flavors and combinations, and the menu is interesting enough that I'd want to come back and work my way through it. The location is definitely unconventional, but there's something kind of cool about watching people play pickleball while you're sitting there drinking Japanese tea. Saikō is one of those places where you can say you discovered it before everyone else did. IYKYK.

I don't make my way over to that area very often, but this place is worth the drive. They have a fun matcha menu with a variety of flavors and combinations. They all sound amazing. I've loved the mango sticky rice matcha in the past. Most recently I tried the pistachio matcha and it was also delish. The staff is always super friendly and offers great recommendations based on your preferences. The cafe area has plenty of seating as well. It's cool that you can watch people play pickleball while you sip on your matcha. The Greenery Creamery also just opened their new location right next door, so I'm sure they'll start to see some increased traffic.

This bakery is a work of art that you have to taste for yourself…read more I'm mad at myself for not having gone to Picasso Moments earlier. Their baked goods are so good and unique. I've literally never seen an asian bakery offer some of the items they have. Beyond that, they also have a full service menu of dim sum items and soups. The service is so insanely good that I felt influenced to buy more. They literally got me. They're located at 8231 S John Young Pkwy on the far end of Orlando. They've been featured on a couple of food bloggers pages and social media. So I got a lot of things. I mean it's a bakery. I am never ever going to walk out with just one item. If you see that happening, it's not me. My favorite item that I got was their snow bread. They have rotating seasonal flavors. I was able to try their pistachio one, but the classic truly is their best seller for a reason. Their snow bread is a well baked piece of bread that is filled with a cream cheese mixture and then covered in powdered sugar. It doesn't sound that complicated and I'm not sure if they've unlocked some secret recipe or ratio, but it's literally so freaking good. Snow bread is a 10/10 for me. Beyond that, I also tried their walnut toffee mochi cookie. This was good, but I wish there was more toffee in it. This was a 8/10 for me. I also go their banana bread, which is shaped like a banana and filled with a banana custard. This was a 8/10 for me. The last item I want to write about is their bread pudding. This item is behind the counter and refrigerated. It was good, but I think I wish it was served with a toffee or salted caramel instead of chocolate syrup. This was a 8/10 for me. I think I spent about $30 total and it was worth it. I would go back and willingly spend that much over and over again. I think more people need to go and try them. It's a bit of a drive but worth it. The space inside is very cute and gives me the feeling of Kiki's Delivery Service. 10/10 overall rating and I will be back.

My bestie took me here & we just sat forever & talked & ate the DELICIOUS pastries. We had a couple of bags to go as we were taking pastries to our families at home. And each time I have gone through the drive-thru the kindness is always still there. Great service. Great ambiance. Great food & fabulous & spot on various coffee drinks. It is warm and welcoming, with display cases stacked with mouthwatering pastries and bites that make it genuinely hard to choose just one thing. Service was upbeat and patient even though the line kept moving. The staff did a nice job guiding first-timers through the menu and explaining the bakery items and drinks. I ordered: - Iced chai latte: honestly disappointing, it was not very rich or spiced and tasted a bit watered down - Empanada de carne (beef): hot, savory, and well-seasoned with a satisfying flaky crust - Hawaiian croissant (ham, white cheese, fresh pineapple): surprisingly good sweet and savory combo that worked better than expected I love how addicting and well the salsa de ajo pairs with the hot bites! The food overall was fresh and comforting, especially the baked items and savory bites. The chai just did not match the level of everything else. The vibe works for both grab-and-go and sitting down to linger. You can easily pop in for a quick bite or settle into a table and take your time with coffee and pastries. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and variety. Parking was easy in the small lot when I went, though it could get tight during peak hours. Great for anyone who loves Latin bakery classics and savory comfort food. I would come back for the food, just not the chai.
