This very large, clean, and well-organized supermarket was easy to find. It was located in the Lake Cay Commons at Universal Blvd and Destination Pkwy. After eating breakfast at a nearby restaurant, I walked across the parking lot and came in here to buy some drinks. I was planning to do some cooking in my unit for this trip to keep my costs down. However, I couldn't buy any food until I was checked-in later today. I bought a gallon of Publix drinking water and a 1.5L bottle of Zephrhills spring water to make sure I stay hydrated. I easily paid for my 2 items while using one of the self-checkout kiosks. The prices were not the best, but very reasonable. read more

This was my first trip to this Publix. I was surprised how big it was and they had part of one aisle that was completely Disney merchandise. The store was clean and well stocked. Not my favorite Publix just because there are so many tourists here. It was on my way home so I did stop in to get some salads that were 2 for $7. This Publix is very well taken care of and nice. A little sparse on what places like this call "ethnic" food choices, and I couldn't wait long enough to get anyone's attention at the deli counter. Cashiers were good, there were enough of them so I liked that I didn't have to use "self checkout." We had a great experience at this location of Publix today. Not the closest location to our home; but, an easy location to get to as we do our errands. I had to return and the return experience was awesome with Tony. No receipt was required and the return was quick and efficient with cash returned. This easy transaction portrays a high level of trust between the business and the customer. In today's times, most businesses are getting very strict in their return requirements and it looks like Publix is moving in the opposite direction in honoring trust with their customers. Hey: what can I say? It's another Publix not too far from the "Sunshine Corridor." The thing about this one as opposed to the one on Central Florida Parkway: it's sparkling clean and looks pretty new rather than worn around the edges. I stumbled upon it while looking for a burger joint we found in the same plaza. So in we went to buy just a few small things to take back to our timeshare nearby. Same friendly employees as one can find at most stores of this company, same overpriced stock, etc. However this store also seems a bit more geared for the tourist trade than the run of the mill Publix. It's just as convenient to the Sea World and OCCC area as the one on CFP. Much nicer, much better displays, more variety than CFP store too. So if U need to stock up for your resort villa, you'll find a much nicer experience at this store than yet ANOTHER one down I Drive near Vineland Rd. This particular Publix is convenient to the Orange County Convention Center and is a good destination if you are looking for a supermarket and you are in that particular area. There is a reason Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Simply put, Publix offers a quality experience and surpasses the other supermarket chains here in Florida. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. Great Super Market and loved that it was close to our Air BnB. Came in and was greeted by an employee who was friendly. The Manager was really nice and after some conversation we learned that she too was also from Hawaii. What an ironic coincidence. She was very welcoming and so happy to have met other locals. That was really nice! The store was very clean and well stocked. Employees were stocking shelves as well while we were there. They have many great items and a great salad section as well. Strawberries were only $3.99 and the produce was really cheap. Mangoes were a dollar a piece.. It's a great place to shop for your groceries and they also have many locations in Orlando read more

Called last week to order a standing rib roast and Gino in the meat department said he couldn't take the order until this morning Monday and to call back then. I told him I was worried they would run out being Christmas and he assured me that it would not be an issue. Surprise , surprise I called and the meat manager told me sorry Publix screwed up they didn't order enough and none of the other locations have it either. This Publix is right on the way to Universal from the airport. My super smart driver stopped here for me to pick up some liqs. The workers were all super duper friendly and willing to help with things! I went straight to their liquor section and I must have missed something because I only saw wine and hard liquor. $20 for 24 pack of Miller Lite was on an end cap for one of my friends with terrible taste. We got some big wine bottles for a good price, too. Quite a large store that was located across from a hotel I was staying at for a convention. I figured Publix would be my go to store for snacks and what not during the week as it was so close and it was a good size store. My first impression after walking in was positive, but soon felt a tad overwhelmed as they carry sooo many different brands and types of food. I felt more confused than excited and ended up buying the most random food due to the confused state (Ice cream, popcorn, and veggies). Prices seem to be pretty high for a chain restaurant, but maybe I could compare it to Whole Foods pricing level without as many healthy options. If you know what you are looking for, then it could be a easy place to shop at, but going in on a whim hoping to find random goodies left me overwhelmed by the ample options. read more

This is a very nice Publix as it is one of the "newer" ones in Central Florida ... (around 5 years old, me thinks.) It is also considered a "tourist" Publix as you may not find as many options for certain products as you would in a "neighborhood" Publix ... a lot of space is dedicated to tourist items (towels, keychains, t-shirts, the usual.) Either way, it is a nice store. The employees are really nice and helpful, of course. It IS Publix and shopping IS a pleasure here. Every time I shop there, I'm always asked if I need help. This usually happens a couple of times per shopping trip. So, the staff is very present and if you look lost, (which bless my hear, I always do), they jump to your aide! Kudos for great service! As for food selection, they have tons of options for your average needs. The one area I wish they would bump up is the produce section with more organic choices. They are quite limited in that regard. If you are looking for something more specific, say a certain flavor of ice cream from a brand other than Publix, you might not find it here as don't carry as many variations as you might find at another store. This is a trivial issue, but if you are a "local" and looking for something specific you can find in your favorite Publix, it might not be at this one. (Yes, all Publix carries certain things but this one is even more "simplistic" with specific items.) However, if you are a tourist or someone who isn't as picky, you won't even notice! The store itself is always clean and tidy. This is important for a place selling food so its worth noting. As for the check out lines, they have moved really fast in the past. However, with the Williamsburg Downs Publix closed for a re-build (just down the street), the check out lines have slowed quite a bit. I'm hoping this store is planning to hire a few more people to help with this as the store can get pretty crowded these days, especially the check out lines. I'm also hoping they order more product since they have a higher volume of customers shopping this particular Publix now. I'm sure the "norm" will return after the Williamsburg Downs Publix opens back up in a year or so. Ah! One more note on this Publix. As it is a "tourist" Publix, a local shopper will notice the prices are a bit higher than "neighborhood" Publix stores you may be familiar with. Its not a huge difference but a noticeable one. Nice Publix location close to the Convention Center. Some items seemed kind of overpriced, namely the gourmet cheese selections, but other items were a good deal. I highly recommend the Philadelphia pineapple flavored cream cheese which appears to only be available in Florida. I've seen it here and in Miami, but nowhere else. Great deals on Publix brand items. Skin care products like sunscreen were pricey. There is no loyalty card so no worries if you're from out of the area. Decent selection of wine, but a little overpriced. Good place to grab essentials if you're staying in the area. Clean and friendly staff. Tons of parking in lot. There are also other businesses in the same strip mall including pizza and sandwiches. read more

But if there is something out if stock, feel free to ask! I was looking for lunchables and they were out of the two varieties I was looking for so I went to customer service to ask if they had any in the back. Not only did the guy in the back bring it out for me, he even grabbed more from the back when he mistakenly brought out the wrong kind with nothing less than a smile. Even back in pa, I find no one likes to check back stock even if they have it so it was a nice surprise. I've wasted trips here so many times for soup or hot food and they pull it earlier and earlier. I understand you need to get ready to close the store. Like when I came at 9, I half expected that. While this brand new store is very nice, the prices are super high! Maybe that's due to the fact that it's located in a touristy area (directly across the street from a big convention hotel). They have everything you could possibly need (even an entire aisle of Mouse souvenirs) and the shelves are stocked with so many different brands that it'll make your head spin. First time at a Publix. I love their seafood counter. It was clean and inviting. I also found their seafood prices extremely reasonable! I expected WF prices. We got some rock crab for $11lb which is reasonable! Their marinated salmon fillet also very tasty. Produce was on the more expensive side- we didn't realize the asparagus was $5lb until at checkout!
