7-Eleven recently opened up at this location. I passed by this place several times when it was still closed and under construction. It never did open up in time for free slushie day, but the day I decided to take pictures of 7-Eleven, there was a 7-Eleven employee outside giving away free cups of cappuccino, brownie or blueberry bites. I got a free regular sized cappuccino and brownie bite. Woo-hoo! It foiled my plans to take full storefront picture as there were people gathering to get a taste of the freebies. Inside, 7-Eleven is clean and longish and there are the various items you can get quickly, from sodas, cold beverages, coffee, donuts and other prepackaged sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit and the regular stuff you can get at a convenience store. Oh yes! They even have my favorite Hostess Sno-Ball. To my amazement they even sold beef jerky and Slim Jim type jerky sausages where you can select the items yourself. The jerky was right in front by the cashiers. Right now, at this location there is a special of 4 mini empanadas for $1. 7-Eleven has specials in there stores and the prices of beverages sometimes go on sale. I have tried the glazed donuts before at the 14th Street location and they are very respectable and decent and price right for the 2 for $1 special. They are more affordable the the local drug stores in the area.

Stopped here due to a fellow traveler having physical complaints which required topical analgesic…read morerelief. Walking many miles per day was a new routine and caught up with her, so very thankful to locate this convenient location and find every item she wanted on her long list. Store was well stocked and merchandise was easily accessible. Staff were helpful and efficient.

Recently I'd ordered two bottles of Extra Strength Antacid Tablets from CVS, when I had a discount…read morecoupon. Unfortunately their expiration date is just several months from now, and meanwhile each bottle has 250 pills (admittedly the suggested dosage is 3 pills at-a-time, but still....). There's no way we'd consume anywhere near 500 of those pills by their expiration date, so I wanted to exchange them for bottles that have a more reasonable expiration. Today I had to be just one block from this store for a medical appointment, and fortunately there were (only) two bottles available - and their expiration date was *much* more generous. I went to the cashier's counter, and the cashier explained that she needed to have a supervisor handle the exchange (and I'd brought my receipt with me). The shift supervisor was inexplicably *nasty*, and from the very beginning. Meanwhile; she told me she couldn't do an "even exchange" because the flavor was different than the ones I'd purchased (?!) - so she said I'd have to return the ones I'd bought and then purchase the other ones. I told her that I'd used a discount coupon when making the purchase, whereas a "new" purchase would *not* provide the discount. She continued being nasty and suddenly disappeared, and then she *finally* reappeared many minutes later. At that point she told me she'd confirmed with the store manager what she'd told me - but she should have had the courtesy to at least tell me why she was suddenly leaving, and her nastiness was totally inexcusable. Now I'm going to contact the CVS Customer Service Department, but I shouldn't have to waste so much time re: this situation - and most importantly, CVS shouldn't have an employee who's so nasty. (The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is because a very pleasant employee helped me find the location of the pills).
