Yes, it is a 7-11. When one needs a snack/meal when all the restaurants are closed, it is a welcome site. Friendly cashier gentleman smiled and greeted us. We asked for a fresh baked whole cheese pizza and it was baked in a super fast oven machine. We walked back to the hotel and it was still hot, with ooey gooey cheese! Admired the clean nacho and condiment area in the back area behind the cashier area. The clean chili and the nacho cheese machine invited me to supplement my pizza slice with hot nachos. Right across the street from Los Gatos High School on Main Street in Los Gatos, this is the goldmine 7-11 of all 7-11's. The owners of this store must be living on top of the hill with all the money this place pulls in every year. There are always kids hanging out in front of the store, talking with each other, on the phone, waiting for rides. Kids flush with Daddy's money. It's crazy. Inside it is just another 7-11 with coffee, Slurpee's donuts, hot dogs, cokes and chips. It also has pretty limited parking so expect to wait for someone to pull out. read more

Worst 7 Eleven I've been to. I try to avoid this place when I can, but sometimes it's on my way so I stop in. The store clerks are always extremely grumpy and seem preoccupied. They don't appreciate their customers at all. Maybe they're jaded by the high schoolers frequenting the place and attempting to shop-lift. However, not everyone is suspect! There's two 7-11's in Los Gatos and I'll drive out of my way to get to the store on Main St. A broader, fresher selection of sandwiches, chips, pastries, coffee (coffee and featured creamers & add-ons) and beverages. It's probably due to the high turnover being that's it right across the street from the 1400 student LG High School. Beware the area during school arrival, lunch and dismissal. Traffic is crazy during these times. There's a Red Box DVD machine out front...you could literally grab a movie, latte, sandwich, sushi, beer and popcorn all in one stop quick shop. read more

A rude crook runs the cash register in the afternoons. I admit i ofteb don't check my change. If I ship here, now I always do! They are always shorting me in their favor. I first noticed when I set me kid in to buy himself a Gatorade and a snack. I gave my son an $20. The clerk only gave him change for a $10. My son said something, and the clerk said he gave him $10. I watched the whole transaction. I was parked at the front of the store and watched my child the entire time. We didn't get the correct change until I insisted they review the security tape. The guy gave me the change without even bothering with the tape. Since then I check my change everytime and EVERYTIME there has been an error in their favor. When I confront the clerk he gives me this dumb "I don't understand" look. I can calculate change very quickly in my head (I worked years as a cashier) and have noticed the cashier again making small mistakes when ringing up other people in line in front of me. I wouldn't come here except it is near the library and I sometimes like to get my son a snack before seeing his tutor. I will find another store. read more

I managed this place from 81-87 and had a blast working there because the customers were great and so was my boss Mike Stephens. It was a home away from home. Skateboards were a norm...The Los Gatos students are very tame compared to most other schools. I am very sad to hear that anyone of you customers are being mistreated. The last time I was there the employee couldn't give me and answer to why the cigarettes are so high. He only knew how to say the price and Thank You. Mike you should have never sold this place. I work close so am always here. The guys working at this location are okay. I am giving it less stars than I would like due to the fact that I have purchased expired food here. I am a student at Los Gatos High school, and trips to the 7-11 are a daily routine. Obviously everyone loves 7-11, and the food is great for our purposes, but the employees? Awful. Every last one of them. They smell bad and they are unbelievably rude and have no trust in any students. We provide 99% of their income, so I don't see why we can't be treated with some decency. They assume that every student wants to steal, and they glare at us as if we are satan. The amount of ageism I've experienced here is astounding. This little shop is run by a rude group of employees. As soon as I arrived I was constantly pestered to make a purchase even though there were very few customers in the store. To make matters worse I received inadequate change. I handed the clerk $5, the total plus tax was $2.08, he then gave back to me $2.75. At first I thought this was a mistake and asked if I could have my 17 cents back, but no the clerk argued that he was right and asked me to move so another customer could be rung up. Sunday at 4pm 8/24/14 This a note to the owner. Please bring back the nice guys who used to work at the Main Street los gatos 711. The older man you have now is mean, talks about customers, hardly says hello, goodbye or thank you even as a response. He is the biggest jerk. I've tried killing him with kindness, smiling, acting incredibly gracious for him ringing me up. I can't tell you how many times I've left your store since you hired him swearing to myself never to return. I generally stay away now, but on occasion I have to go in as your location is very convient to our home. Please let me know when he's gone so we can start coming again. Just for your information, I'm not the only one in town who feels this way. Your 711 is the talk of the town over this person. I was at a party a few weeks ago and someone ran up to get ice. They came back irritated because your employ is beyond rude. Then several people started telling stories of what this guy has done to them. We all agree that we don't expect much from a 711 employee, but nice and pleasant is a must. Generally people in this town are friendly and warm, so he is an eye sore with his poor behavior. I'm not a big complainer, but my feeling is you should bring back the friendly employees or your residential traffic is going to drop. Especially when it's a topic of conversation at a private party. It's ridiculous. That all said, the store is clean, the other guys are super nice and funny and it's well stocked with fresh food. Please do yourself a favor and have him move on. One star, and honestly, I wish I could give less. I don't usually stop here- between the tough to park in/dirty lot, and the looters that are always infront of the store asking for money, I shop at the one on N Santa Cruz Ave (AMAZING store)- but after today, after seeing whom I can only assume is the owner, treat the high school kids horribly, I decided it was time to share. Apparently the kids are all thieves, and don't deserve to be treated with respect- and as a parent, it infuriates me thinking of some over weight slob treating any child poorly. As my daughter and I were entering, a young boy was infront of me with his skateboard (*GASP*, a skateboard, the HORROR!). The owner, standing at the door making all the kids throw their back packs on the floor in a pile, looks at the kid and says, "Get that shit out of here!". Seeing me and my young child, he quickly back peddles and says, "It could hurt someone like the little girl behind you." And tries to shoot me a smile. Don't smile at me. You just disrespected a young man right infront of me, and my young child, and I sir, actually know what's appropriate and inappropriate to say to a child. Judging by your reaction when you saw me, I imagine you know the difference too. Show some manners, Sir. I have been going to this 7-11 for 17 years and I have never seen the management so bad. Most of the employees are careless and rude. One of them even made awkward advances at a few girls I know. To top off their terrible service they are trying to accept cash only now.
