    Spam musubi
    Wing I.

Tried out their food today. I got a shrimp pork hash, spam musubi and my hubby got his donuts. Love the food options here, I wish the whole USA 7-11 has this options. Food is hot and yummy! Definitely perfect on the go! Staff are friendly and helpful.

I think I've tried so many of their bentos, musubi's, salads, pastries, Slupee's, and almost everything is freshly delivered first thing in the morning and good for either that same day or if you purchase refrigerated items, you can still enjoy them the next day. My hubby loves their somen salad and deluxe salad with oriental dressing. I'm always picking up at least two musubi for the road. On this past visit at the Piikoi location, I got the Deluxe Bento, fried noodles, and 2 kinds of musubi. I highly suggest fresh pastries earlier in the mornings while it's much tastier than prepackaged pastries. 7-Eleven has free ample parking surrounding the store and Hakuyosha, or you can also park at an available gas pump and walk over. It's very nice and clean inside, and everyone at the cash register counter is helpful, cordial, and polite. Overall, this is a good place to grab quick bites to go. The only thing that keeps me from coming by frequently is the overcrowding of squatters all around the store front. HPD is almost always present, but they have many other duties to keep the rest of the community safe.

I frequent this 7-11. It's off of Piikoi, so it's convenient. There used to be a lot of homeless people hanging out outside. It's gotten somewhat better recently. It's 7/11 today, which means 7-11 is giving away small Slurpees. The line was so long and three of the flavors were already out at noon. The hubby got a Slurpee and reusable bag. I got my fave Spam katsu musubi and pork hash. This location is usually pretty well stocked with items. I'm usually there for their beef pho, spicy ahi inari sushi, Spam musubi and pork hash. Most of their sandwiches and salads are good as well.

Searching for the Spam Cheese Musubi for my Twinsie, Joyce, in Arizona... This morning for breakfast, I decided to go to the 7-Eleven near my physical therapy appointment. Unfortunately, they didn't have the newish Spam Cheese Musubi as advertised on Instagram about two weeks ago. Maybe it was sold out? I asked the cashier, but he didn't know anything. He said that he didn't even get to try it himself! For lunch, I drove to this busy location of 7-Eleven on the corner of Piikoi Street and Young Street (even though the address is King Street). I looked in the warmer AND the refrigerated items section - no Spam Cheese Musubi. Hmmm... I settled on an Oven Roasted Salmon Musubi. It was just right because I just needed a snack before having popcorn at the theater... LOL! As I was cashing out, I asked about the Spam Cheese Musubi. Giovanni was the helpful, friendly Assistant Manager/cashier who informed me that the product was discontinued. He did get a chance to try it and said that it was good. Wow... Makes me want to get one now... Haha! Anyway, since I was there, I looked around at the clean, neat shop. We need to appreciate 7-Eleven in Hawaii because they have local goods like pastries from Ubae and Da Kine Donuts, various types of manapua (Cha siu bao), and unique flavors of Slurpee such as Haupia (coconut dessert). Come to think of it... The mainland locations of 7-Eleven don't even have musubi!!! ...and we have teriyaki Spam Musubi, Garlic Chicken musubi, Fish musubi, etc. "Oh thank Heaven for 7-Eleven!"

I was THE MOST excited to stop at a 7/11! So completely different than what we have in California. There was so much tasty food to choose from. I went straight for a classic spam musubi. They had both hot and cold sections for food. I chose a hot musubi and it was very tasty. Probably one of the better musubis I have ever had, even on the island. Not much else to say other than I wish we had a food selection like this back at home!

    High ass gas..

Typical 7-11. They have a 76 gas station so I stopped by to get gas. All your 7-11 needs were there. Gas is just a bit higher than it is in California.

A little Coffee & a Custard Danish, and I'm good to go!

Da ADDICTION IS REAL!!! First and foremost, I must give BIG PROPS to 7-Eleven management for actually reading, and replying to my Yelp 7-Eleven review that I wrote a few months ago (about the McCully Shopping Center location). 7-Eleven management wasn't blowing wind up my @ss when they said that they were gonna bring back the Garlic Chicken Musubi (but only better!) as they actually listened to my request! On New Years eve, when I was heading to my office to do some work, I decided to stop by my favorite 7-Eleven location, and sure enough.........I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Garlic Chicken Musubi back on the shelf! Oh HAPPY Day!!! What a way to start off da New Year! I LOVE YOU 7-Eleven!!! Much MAHALO, and I will make a point to try and swing by every week to one of your stores to take care of my Garlic Chicken Musubi fix!!! Normally, my go to 7-Eleven store is the store on Wilder Ave., as I past this 7-Eleven store almost everyday on my way to work. I also sometimes patronize the 7-Eleven store in the McCully Shopping Center, as it's not too far from my office too. Today, as I was running around in the field today, I totally missed lunch, and since I just so happened to be driving along Piikoi Street & S. King Street, I decided to pull into this 7-Eleven store that is just next door to the Makiki Zippy's. A few things I like about this particular store (although I will have to admit to don't come here that often for one reason). I will get to that later. Things I like about this 7-Eleven store - 1. The parking lot is HUGE, so there is a lot of parking here. 2. There are lots of gas pumps here, so if you need gas, there is hardly any wait. 3. The store is pretty big, and all 7-Eleven stores in Hawaii are pretty consistent with the store layout, and the things they carry within the store. 4. The one consistent thing about Bruddah Fran, is his Garlic Chicken Musubi.........and as soon as he pulled into the parking lot, and walked into the store.........AUTOMATIC bro! Did you see my Garlic Chicken Musubi today????? Da buggah was one BUMBUCHA!!! And what a great deal, as it's just $3.13 with tax!!! One Garlic Chicken Musubi was more than enough for me to kill that hunger after missing my lunch. And the one thing that kind keeps me from coming to this particular store on a regular basis - Totally NOT 7-Eleven's fault, but for some reason this store location attracts some unsavory characters. Unfortunately there are a lot of mentally ill, & homeless folks that sometimes hang out in the front, or perimeter of the store, and I have been accosted a few times for money when I would patronize this location. Of course if the Addiction is real, regardless of the danger.........I'd probably still come back, but lucky there are many 7-Eleven stores all over Oahu, so I have other choices. MUCH MAHALO again 7-Eleven management for addressing my Garlic Chicken addiction! :D

Stopped by as I was super hungry and didn't have much time for takeout or set down not even drive through lol. They had what I was looking for which were the spam musubi's. Glad they had plenty as my friends and I bought about 10. Their musubi is ok and does the trick if you just want something to eat real quick. But they were also stocked on drinks and snacks which is very much appreciated as I have been in 7/11s that barely have anything.

COVID-19 UPDATE Tick..tick..tick..tick..tick... If you read my previous review on 7-Eleven, you know that 7-Eleven will have a Slurpin' Special, to promote their four Specialty noodle bowls - Local Style Saimin, Vietnamese Pho Noodle Soup, Premium Tonkotsu and Tan Tan Ramen. The promotion: One dollar off any Specialty noodle bowl from March 22nd to April 4, 2021. Tick..tick..tick..tick..tick... I've been patiently waiting for March 22nd to come around because the 7-Eleven Slurpin' Special means their Local Style Saimin, which regularly sells for $3.89, will be $2.89. tenor.com/view/waiting-simpsons-homer-whistle-gif-5694935 Tick..tick..tick..tick..tick... It's not that easy counting the days, knowing that a Premium Tonkotsu Ramen which sells for $4.99, will cost only $3.99 on March 22nd. The wait has been driving me crazy. https://tenor.com/view/simpson-homer-gif-4247101 Tick..tick..tick..tick..tick... I've been jogging around the neighborhood, trying to keep my mind off of 7-Eleven, but I couldn't help thinking that a Premium Tan Tan Ramen, with a sticker tag of $4.99, can be mine for $3.99 between March 22nd and April 4th. https://tenor.com/view/happy-homer-simpson-gif-12657064 Tick..tick..tick..tick..tick... Well today is March 22, 2021.....so I go to YouTube and play Everybody Dance Now (C & C Music Factory) to celebrate.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaTGrV58wec ...and start dancing!!! https://coub.com/view/25lbqy I head on down to 7-Eleven at 8:00 A.M. this morning and buy a Beef Pho. I haven't tried the 7-Eleven pho and it was my No. 1 choice for the start of this promotion special because regular price is $4.59 and today and until April 4th, the cost is a bargain $3.59. Dayum!! ...USA!! USA!! https://tenor.com/view/homer-simpson-usa-homer-simpson-usa-gif-19433846 I get home and throw it in the microwave, enter two minutes and 20 seconds and press start. I was really anxcious and was looking forward to try this super deal. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/7-eleven-hawaii-honolulu-25?select=qxaFgDeJ1-Ezbc16b6uORg I open the lid and the bowl had a nice serving of pho noodles, a slice of beef, a few leaves of basil; and some green and red onions. The soup was not watery and did have a Vietamese pho broth taste. It was not the best bowl of pho I ever had but definitely something that I would order again for $3.59. My personal opinion is that the pho could be kicked up a notch if 7-Eleven included a side of Siracha, plum sauce and a few mung bean sprouts to make the pho a more Vietnamese pho experience instead of a 7-Eleven interpretation. I would have no problem paying $4.99 if Siracha and mung bean sprouts were added to the bowl. Tick..tick..tick..tick..tick... The 7-Eleven Slurpin' Special started today and ends April 4, 2021. It really is a super deal. I like the Tonkotsu Ramen and Beef Pho but am not too impressed with their Tan Tan Ramen. Get on down to 7-Eleven and take advantage of this super deal. For me, I'm going back for more. https://tenor.com/view/homer-simpson-dessert-eating-thinking-watching-gif-13664858 P.S. Mahalo 7-Eleven ...... https://tenor.com/view/homer-simpson-usa-homer-simpson-usa-gif-19433846 .....USA! USA!! USA!!! P.P.S. I was looking for a sign advertising this Slurpin' special inside the store but didn't see one. No worries!! Just take your bowl to the register and the $1.00 off is automatically applied with the check-out product scan. https://tenor.com/view/homer-simpson-usa-homer-simpson-usa-gif-19433846 .....USA! USA!! USA!!!

    Tiffany H.

Interesting snacks and candies here that can't be found on mainland! Got the li hing pineapple sour belt - so yummy! This store is decently sized, so they have more variety than other 7-11 locations. It's great that the refrigerated section sells a lot of convenience food.

She is so personable and a joy to speak with. She offers inexpensive breakfast bentos featuring white or fried rice, a fried egg and pieces of Portuguese sausage, bacon or frankfurter. My opinion, lets start with spam, perfectly cooked, with secret sauce, love the umami taste while I took my first bite, and the rice is hot & moist, not watery & not premium rice but it is still good, along with the nori. I loved everything about this musubi. Great spam to rice ratio. The only thing that I need is some of my chili spices! Mom & Pop is super friendly, I remember asking how many musubi's they sell a day and owner mentioned they make and sell over 100 a day. Every time I walk inside, there's a strong, unpleasant odor that smells like sewage or fecal matter. It's consistent enough that it doesn't feel like a one-off issue--it's something you notice immediately when you enter the store. At times it seems stronger in certain areas, which makes me wonder if it's coming from plumbing, floor drains, or possibly even outside air getting pulled in. What's frustrating is that this location used to feel like one of the better-run stores on the island. Now, the overall impression is very different. Even if the shelves are stocked and the staff is doing their job, the environment itself really affects the experience of shopping there. What stands out is the comparison with nearby stores like Safeway, which don't seem to have the same issue, even though they serve the same general area. That contrast makes the problem at this location even more noticeable. I hope management takes a serious look at it, because this doesn't feel like a minor cleanliness issue--it feels like an infrastructure or maintenance problem that's been left unresolved for too long. It's a shame, because the store has a lot of potential and used to be a go-to spot.

I then remembered that ABC has a store here, first level by the centerstage. It's not a full-fledged location with a kitchen but they have all the usual souvenirs, snacks and beverages including alcohol. ABC didn't fare well in the slushie department either and by this time I was so parched and over it, I just ended up with a healthy bottle of water. I was greeted by one of the female cashiers as I entered, though I didn't get one from the male cashier who rang me up. OVERALL: Convenience at its best.

Have you ever heard about da inside joke about "ABC Stores"?…read more This really applies if one is in Waikiki, because if a local asked another local - "eh, where you stay???" And the local says - "I stay by the ABC Store!", guess what???? Probably every block in Waikiki get one ABC Store! Buwahahahahaha! Well, lucky for me, ABC Stores are also located at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, and if I'm correct, there's like two stores. One store is located by the centerstage of the Ala Moana Shopping Center, and the newer ABC Store is located on the west wing going towards the Foodland Farms store, or a few doors down from Spectrum. Although I don't shop at ABC Stores on a regular basis, I have been known to pop into the store for a snack, or a drink once in a blue moon. While cruisin' a Ala Moana yesterday, I decided to pop on into the ABC Store by the center stage area for a coffee, since I missed my morning cup of joe. Rest-a-sure, whenever one goes to an ABC Store, you'll find a very clean & well organized store. ABC Stores kinda caters to our visiting tourist, as you'll find an array of Hawaii souvenirs, food items, and some really cool t-shirts! Walking into this particular ABC Store, I was taken back at the very nice designs they had for their t-shirts. The shirts did not look touristy, and even a local like me would proudly buy & wear some of those designs. Locally owned by the Kosasa ohana, shop local & support local whenever you can.
