When I showed up the worker was mopping and said that they would be closed for 15 minutes. I said no worries and then proceeded to wait with my dog outside not just for the 15 minutes but for more than an hour. The worker finished the mopping within 5 minutes of me showing up and then disappeared with another man that definitely didn't work there. It's been well over an hour and the worker finally shows face again in the store, however he does not unlock the door. I really just don't understand how some of the workers at 7-Eleven keep jobs. He rang us up while keeping his head down the whole time to play his game even when he said thank you, We asked multiple times for a bag but he wasn't listening to us due to his game, we had to yell "can we get a bag" he stopped his game, got a bag and threw everything in like he was annoyed or mad. It's January 9th, 2023 around 6 pm. I went in to get 3 tickets for the Mega Lottery and a young Indian guy was behind the counter. I have seen him before there as well. 3 tickets. $6. He was so busy talking on the phone, like last time, with something that looked like Apple EarPods. He spoke in his own language and really did not pay attention at all! As he took my handwritten tickets and put them in the machine, he still paid more attention to whoever he was talking to on the phone, than me and where he pushed the machine with his fingers. Then he says "$12!" Are you kidding me? I pointed to the ticket and said "here are 3 areas filled out x $2. That's $6." Still busy talking on the phone in between, he had the nerve to tell me that it was my ticket were the problem was. Are you kidding me? He said, I just put it into the machine and then it popped out with $12. Did not matter what I said. I noticed that he did not pay attention when he put the ticket in. He said it's double (x2) so it is $12. I asked where it said that on the ticket, and he could not, or would not, tell me. Obviously, he pushed the wrong buttons on the machine and tried to blame me?! What customer service! Then he just took the ticket and put it behind the counter and gave me the $6 I initially gave him. Man! So I took the same handwritten ticket to another 7-11 on Bushard and Garfield. Handed the same ticket to the woman behind the counter, she put it into the machine and said "$6". Wow. Finally someone who pays attention. Very pleasant experience. She was polite, not on the phone, and knew what customer service was. It just proved what I already knew. The young guy who was on the phone, all the time, in the 7-11 on Slater, west of Euclid, was wrong. Wow! Never going back there again. That was the worst experience I have had in a 7-11!! Wow! I know my review don't matter because this is such a big chain convenience store but I can't stand the middle eastern guy with glasses that works there almost every night. This is the closest 7-eleven to my house so my bf and I always come here at night for a late night snack. Every time we pull up and see him we can't help but to utter freakin a$$hole under our breath. On numerous occasions, my boyfriend ask for the food on the heater and he always tells us it's no good. Let's bring this store up a notch. First of all, one of the negative reviews was from Texas - he was on the wrong page. This store is in my neighborhood. There was a few incidents of less than desirable behavior in front. I contacted Corporate and they immediately got on it. They sent this location NO LOITERING SIGNS which, believe it or not, seemed to help. The store is clean and I find the cashiers friendly. I frequent this store only because their fountain sodas are only $.99/$1.49. Today I asked if they treat our safety officers to soda when they come in. This 7-11 is super duper close to work and I'm usually here in the afternoons for a quick pick me up or just before work for super cheap coffee and a muffin, etc. The facility is clean and well stocked. The owners are nice and I can quickly find what I'm looking for. I love 7-Eleven coffee, but what I've come to learn is not all 7-Eleven location coffees are equal. Some stores have the pots, some have the plastic canisters. Some just have the basic creamer options some have a variety of flavored creamers. This store is the best one around in my opinion. Just look at the pictures I posted. Today there were 10 different types of creamers, More than half a dozen types of coffee and syrups galore. No matter what your coffee tastes are you can find a coffee combination here to suit your needs. I usually stick to the regular house blend its fantastic, but today I was in the mood for something along the lines of a PSL (If you don't speak coffee that's a pumpkin spice latte) so I mixed the regular house blend, with the pumpkin coffee and some pumpkin spice creamer. Sometimes I go for the Almond Joy creamer or the Hershey's Caramel, but no matter what I concoct and whether I go for the medium or the small, my total is always under $2! Rude clerks! I have to agree with the reviewers here who have written how rude these clerks are. I have been coming here for the whenever I needed to purchase something really quick as it is nearby, but today was the final straw on seeing how rude these clerks are, so I thought I finally post a review of this store. I've seen glimpses of their rudeness over the years in how they handle transactions with customers - so I am glad these reviewers posted what I witness in the store. I was deciding what snack to buy and was standing still looking at the chips section for just about a minute and the clerks yells out, "They are all the same my friend." I should have walked out of there immediately, but was in a rush as I needed to eat a quick snack. I don't know what the middle-eastern guy wearing glasses problem was, maybe because I was the only one in the store and he wanted me to hurry up and get out, or maybe even racist. After I purchased the bag of chips, I told him this was the last time I will be coming here. This place needs to work on their customer service, but I highly doubt they care. Why work at a business where your job is serving customers, if you don't know how to be polite to people and your job is interacting with people the whole day, then why the heck are you working here. This 7-11 is awesome. I always see these guys stocking there shelves with merchandise. Staff is always pleasant. Never had any problems here with cashing any of my scratchers. The lottery monitor is in full view so you can see how much you won. All special prices and discounts are always given at register. These guys always have a great attitude and very friendly. Best time to buy is when school is in session. It can get pretty hectic. Its loud and the line gets really long when the kids get out of school or right before they start. Other than that, this 7-11 is in tip top shape. Thumbs up guys. read more
