The location is right at the split into one-way streets, so it's about as accessible as you can get going either direction, which I love. We stopped through here in July 2015 for some gas and to stock up at the convenience store. The gas is priced a little more than normal (as is par for the course out here on the coast) but the service is friendly and fast, the amenities plentiful, and the east of in-and-out wins the day. Also this little stretch of road is right near the bay, so you can soak in some okay views while fueling up. Easy peasy.
