I called with one question and the guy who answered didn't want to even give his one second of working hour to look at 1 item.

This is a very cool, independent coffee shop where locals and tourists like me congregate. From the friendly folks behind the counter to the variety of comfortable seating options, this spot is a welcoming place to sip, eat, hang, play a game, or watch a Bob Ross episode. I'm kind of a coffee purist and really enjoyed their dark roast drip which was rich, dark, and smooth. The do have a full menu of hot and cold drink options which all looked just a tasty. On one of my visits, I ordered their Moonridge Breakfast Sandwich, without cheese. It was delicious and well constructed, with toasted sourdough, thick bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, some red onion, and a very yummy garlic aoli. They offer packets of hot sauce and other condiments for folks like me who want a bit of heat. I'm not a big pastry person, but their pasty case look really good with a wide variety of options. There are lots of coffee options in Big Bear and I've tried a few. I'll stick with Moonridge Coffee Company for a great cup of coffee and meal. I highly recommend this location and will return.

The shop is veteran owned with lots of coffee enthusiasm marketed. The classic coffees are available, nothing out of the ordinary. They have matcha, teas, and beers as well. I got the caramel machiatto which was very milky IMO but decent. I ordered the avocado toast and moonridge club sandwich because some items weren't available after 11 am. The avocado toast was elevated with tomato and arugula (I think) and a citrus hint. The sandwich was probably the most enticing to me on their, what seems like, summer menu. It came with options between potato salad or chips.

They definitely take the time to let each customer look through the flavors and decide what they want. They're also generous with the samples and even offer their own flavor combination suggestions for you to try. It never felt rushed, and the whole experience felt really welcoming, especially after a full day of exploring. I really appreciated how patient and friendly they were, even with a line of people waiting. I also definitely feel like the scoops here are super generous! I got a double scoop, but honestly, it felt more like a triple scoop. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth!

There were 7 of us, and when we ordered hot chocolates, the girl helping us acted visibly annoyed that we wanted them. She kept asking us, "Are you sure?" and making weird comments about the order, almost like we were inconveniencing her just by ordering what the place is literally known for. Her attitude was honestly some of the worst customer service I've experienced. We weren't being rude or difficult we were simply trying to order hot chocolate. For an employee to make customers feel uncomfortable and like a disturbance for placing a normal order is crazy. What made it even worse was that another group after us was also complaining about her attitude, so it clearly wasn't just us taking it the wrong way. And honestly, the hot chocolate itself was pretty mid. Once you get through all the toppings, it basically just tastes like 7-Eleven hot chocolate. For how hyped up this place is online, I was expecting way more. Between the rude service and an underwhelming drink, the whole experience was disappointing and definitely not worth the hype.

There's a magical little place in Big Bear called Dank Donuts…read more And when I say magical, I mean it. Not only is it in the most beautiful location, but they're serving gluten-free DONUTS, GF breakfast burritos, AND doggie donuts. A whole inclusive menu. Which means when we're in town, we're frequenting daily. And my little one is gonna do a whole dance about it. Donut places are the number one place they get left out of. So finding a gluten-free donut? That's not just a treat. That's an extra special, "wait, this is for ME?" kind of moment. And for me? This may have been the first cronut I've ever had...but it was not the last. 10/10. I eat it every time I go. If you're in or around Big Bear anytime soon, make sure to stop by for a breakfast you won't regret. And the owner, who has celiac, also has a fire restaurant down the street with a whole gluten-free menu. This place kills it on the views, the menu, the food, and the totally awesome outdoor space to hang with the fam on a slow mountain morning. You won't want to miss it. TL;DR: Gluten-free donuts. GF breakfast burritos. Doggie donuts. Inclusive menu. Beautiful location. 10/10 cronut. Owner with celiac. Go here. Then go to their sister restaurant down the street. You're welcome.

I've tried a strawberry donut the first time in the fall. Most everything was sold out by the time we went. It was just ok, didn't taste like really strawberry, more artificial. This time in the summer we went since they still have the pineapple fritters. It's huge!! Was not expecting it to be that size so we split it. Again, it was ok. Didn't have a lot of pineapple so just tasted like fried dough. I wish it had more pineapple flavors. So it's ok. Probably won't be back for donuts but may try sandwiches next time. SYOY!

This place close to the parks. It's located in an outdoor shopping street with pretty hanging flower baskets displayed among unique stores for shopping. Parking is mostly on the street - free - and the atmosphere is friendly. My friend had tea and I had latte while we waited for our breakfast order. Prices were okay. The food - delicious! Prepared right where you can see from your wooden polished tables. Unique games, card decks, and puzzles are available as well as books while you are there. It was fun to put together a small puzzle with my friend. I had an omelette type dish with avocado, tomatoes, cheese. Very yummy served with toast. My friend had a breakfast sandwich. Everyone there was friendly! The place is clean. Bathrooms big. Next time in Big Bear Lake, this is the place!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I do not undertsand the 5 star reviews of this place. First, the straws are in a communal bucket unwrapped which is gross for any restaurant. We paid $43 dollars for two breakfast sandwhiches, a lemonade, and a coffee. I understand Big Bear is a mountain town and food is expensive which I am completely okay with. What I am not okay with is everything being store bought and resold at a higher price. The bagel and croissant were both store bought and terrible. It was also served on a paper plate, which I think is insane for a restaurant with that price. Other places with higher price points arent serving their food on paper plates why does the owner believe its cool for them to? We had not a single interaction with another human when we were here. Ordered at a kiosk, the people who made the drinks left them on the bar, said our name, and walked away, the guy cooking the food did the same. I am fine with the $43 dollar price point but with all of this combined, it is insane how this business stays open. The owner stated that I should have ask to speak to the manager which I would have .....IF THERE WAS ANYONE IN THE RESTAURANT TO TALK TO.

It felt cozy and local from their hand written menus, plants, little vintage style chandeliers, shelves full of baking books or mugs and all the cute little details in shop...the funny calorie sign grabbed my attention " tiny creatures that live in your closet and saw your clothes a little bit tighter every night." Definitely was the perfect philosophy behind it for a bakery because once you see the pastry case full of colorful sugar, calories should be forgotten and in this case I have alzheimer so i forgot the calories when i walked in to this cute bakery...LoL i got a giant chocolate croissant and i cant say enough how much fresh and delicious it was...High quality just like the one i got in Paris very nostalgiaaaaaaaa!!!! One detail that really touched my heart and soul was the Community food pantry outside of this bakery. " Take what you need, leave what you can."Such a simple but beautiful gesture that says a lot about the heart behind a small local business.
