Because of that, we respectfully asked about getting a refund. The staff told us only a manager could approve refunds, but the manager wasn't there at the time. No alternative solution was offered -- not a replacement meal, store credit, or any way to help resolve the situation. Since this is a family-owned restaurant it left us feeling stuck and unheard as customers. I understand policies exist, but spending that much money and leaving without being able to eat the food or get help addressing the issue was very frustrating. I hope management can improve how situations like this are handled so other customers don't have the same experience.

The pour over, fresh ground coffee served with a shot glass of sparking water to refresh the palate set the stage for the care and level of food quality and service we could expect. The egg and chorizo Mexican torta was so huge I didn't think I'd be able to eat it all, but each bite was rich with authentic Mexican flavors that I couldn't stop. We topped it off with the beautifully baked concha bun that finished us off perfectly.
