So I spent 30.00 on beers and before leaving the lot my mom said she wanted a different beer so I brought 4 back in, placed them on the counter and went to grab 3 different ones. Went t the register and I told the cashier twice that I was returning these and buying these instead and he said okay he understood over and over and still charged me 19.00 for 3 budweiser tall cans. All in all he charged me twice for the 4 beers and I'm out of at least 10.00. That's not a lot of money but I was being honest. I left the store for less than 2 minutes. Never left the lot. I am going through too much right now and didn't want to deal with arguing and them thinking that I am trying to get one over on them. I went here to buy lottery tickets. The woman clerk was VERY rude as I went to the counter as she was actually rolling her eyes like I am wasting her time BEFORE I even said a word!?! It was like she hated her life. I usually never play, so I was not sure if I needed to fill up a paper or quick picks and which one was playing today. So I was starting to ask her a question and she just pointed to the back of the store where slips were located. Ooookay... I came back to the counter after and no one was behind me in line. She left me hanging at one point to talk on the phone right in the middle of my transaction after she THREW the slip at me saying it was rejected ( forgot one more number for that one ticket I figured out later after I left and rest were quick picks). She didn't tell me why it was rejected when I asked and ignored me going to the other side of the counter talking on the phone. So obviously she did not want my business so I just left without anything. I went to another store and bought tickets there and that 7-11 was much nicer clerks who were helpful. So many one or two star reviews, which shows you how terrible the service is in this particular store! Note this particular store is also dirty and messy-dusty like your hands feel dirty after touching things esp in the drinks/ICEE area. read more

So I was on my way to band practice (Yes, I'm in a band....I will give deets if requested), and I needed a pick me up. My go-to? Carb-free Monster. 7-Eleven isn't my usual stop, but I felt like this was the spot to go at the time. Boy, was I right! Because as I turn left to go directly to the energy drinks, out of the corner of my eye I see a red cupcake in the refrigerated counter. Stop the presses!! 7-Eleven sells red velvet cupcakes. And you know what? They're off the hook! They're way better than the almost 5 buck red velvet cupcake I had at what's that place in downtown Martinez. And I got it for $1.49. All I have to say is RED VELVET CUPCAKE!! Thanks to Grace L. for recommending this fabulous treat, I probably never would have given it a shot. I have to admit.... I had eyed this sucker a few times when making stops at various 7 11's and was a little hesitant to try it- First of all coming from a some what of a food snob (that I will, willingly admit too) and the fact that it was from.... well...7 11 Any how, I have made quite a few stops at this location over the years being it's the closest one near me. The service has always been friendly- they do have a great selection of drinks- they even sell diet cokes individually in a can...love that!! As for the cupcake it was extremely moist, rich and sweet!! They used to have this peanut butter brownie that was totally off the hook- but they discontinued it : ( oh well, now I know where to get my cupcake fix when I'm unable to drive to san fran or other destinations and that's super budget friendly. read more

I went here real quick for a few things and as I walked in one of the workers who was very old middle eastern man near 100 years old with a silver cowboy hat and blue scarf yelled to three African American boys as they walked in no stealing. WTF as the boys went to the counter to purchase their items, I asked the old fuck to apologize to the boys and he looked at me like I was the crazy one. . My experiences have actually been with the same person, as I stop in at the same time, so she is the only person I can speak on. Please beware and be mindful of what you're being charged when dealing with the young lady that works around 12noon. On multiple occasions she has tried to overcharge me on store specials and argue that she was correct even when the special advertised price is pointed out to her. When she realizes that I was not going to "roll over" she catches major attitude. I really can't see someone being that clueless working in a position dealing with money so I'm inclined to believe she is trying to get over and cheat the customer. read more

Usually just get gas here and the Sunday morning paper. Would be better if the gas pumps wouldn't run out of receipt tape so often. TIP: the pumps further away from the convenience store seem to usually have enough receipt tape to print you a receipt. read more
