That settled it; we had to try it. Out of sheer excitement or exhaustion, we forgot to make a reservation. I quickly remembered this mistake as we entered Hooked. People filled every table and seat at the bar. I looked at my bestie with great concern because we were anticipating our first meal of the day. The hostess welcomed us warmly, and then she asked the dreadful question, "Do y'all have a reservation?" We sadly said no, and she immediately began to express regret. Maybe it was the "Grad2026" headband or the disappointment on our faces that caused her to have pity on us because she told us to wait one second. The hostess walked to the bar, then she went to the main seating area, lastly she went next door where there's additional seating. She returned with a smile and motioned for us to follow her. The hostess found us seats at the bar! We ordered, chatted with the locals, and ate a delicious meal. We even made room for dessert which we learned was made by the owner, the hostess! Whenever we visit New Hampshire again, we're definitely stopping by Hooked!

I was a fan of the old Warren's Lobster House. We thought we'd give the new Warren's Seafood a try…read more(same location, new owners). While the sign and the salad bar remain, the magic is gone. The baked stuffed lobster tails are no longer on the menu, nor are the claws or popcorn lobster. We tried the Lazy Lobster. Meh. A very small lobster, meat shelled, arrived floating in butter. Baked potato was still very firm. While the pumpkin bread is still part of the salad bar, the cheese spread is missed. It's the little things that matter. Service was mediocre. Restaurant was very lightly booked, but the hostess didn't know which tables were clean. Oh how I miss the old Warren's.

When he was ordering, he was incredibly demanding, trying to create a custom made seafood plate with all of his preferred items. He was pushy, relentless and almost hostile to Cathy. Throughout the exchange Cathy handled it with total grace. She remained calm, kept a kind smile and was completely professional. Managers need to know what a great worker she is. I will come back soon!"

Every time I visit NH, I always buy a great steak, and grill it outside. This year, a co-worker,…read moreand part time resident of New Hampshire, told me about this place. So on our way up to Bartlett, we stopped in. The lot was jammed, and we had to fight for a spot. A good sign. We managed to find our way into the Market & Butcher shop; which was packed. But we didn't wait long. Everything these days is expensive, but the meat here is reasonably priced. Dare I say cheap ?!?! {You can see the prices in the photos} The selection is vast, and they carry other items besides meat. Wine, meals to go, chips & snacks, soups, bread, beer, etc. Next time, maybe we'll try the restaurant.

Finally got to try this place this past Monday around 5:30. The wait was about an hour and a half,…read morewhich I guess is pretty normal here, but we were able to grab seats at the bar and order right away. The bartenders were awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and kept things moving even though they were slammed. We ordered the spicy strawberry margaritas. They don't carry Ghost tequila, so they made them with fresh jalapeños and their house tequila instead, and they came out really good. Someone else in our group ordered an espresso martini and ended up getting a second one because he liked it so much. We took advantage of the buy one get one lobster roll special and also ordered the steak tips with a bunch of sides. The dill pickle potato salad was pretty good, the baked beans were really flavorful, and the mac and cheese was probably my favorite. The street corn was a close second. The mashed potatoes could've used a little more seasoning, and the Caesar salad was just your standard Caesar. The only thing that disappointed me was the steak tips. We ordered them medium, but they came out well done and didn't have as much flavor as I was expecting after hearing so many people rave about them. The lobster rolls were okay, but honestly they weren't anything to write home about. If you're really craving a lobster roll, I'd rather spend a little more and get one on the coast. I also wish the bun had been a little more buttered and toasted. Overall, I still had a great experience because the service was excellent. The bartender mentioned Mondays and Tuesdays are their busiest nights because of the buy one get one lobster roll special, so maybe that played a part. I'll definitely come back and give it another shot because way too many people have recommended this place for me to judge it off one visit. It just didn't quite live up to the hype this time.
