Air systems & controls LLC is a Certified Air Conditioning Contractor for both Commercial/Residential - Services, and the owner and manager is Melvin Coffman and I highly recommend you call him before calling anyone else. My air conditioner recently broke down and I had 2 of the Bigger Named air conditioning contractors look at my AC unit. The first company, gave me an estimate of $2,004.00, and the second company, gave me an estimate of approximately $4,864.00 to repair the unit. Both air conditioning contractors recommended that I replace my unit, and the cost of a new unit was approximately $17K. I was ready to buy a new unit as my unit is 12 years old, and then I happened to talk to my friend who told me about Melvin and he told me that he has been using Melvin for his AC service for many years and that he was very reliable, experienced, and his pricing was reasonable. Anyway, I contacted Melvin and he had my unit up and running in approximately 1 hour. The repairs to my unit required a new Contractor 2-Pole 40 Amp Contactor, and this part can be purchased for approximately $75 online, and misc. hardware like a fuse and some wire connectors, and the labor consisted of replacing the Contractor and cutting and splicing 5 or 6 wires together as the wiring installation was worn away and likely shorted out the Contractor. My AC is now up and has been running just fine for the past week. So, the actual parts to repair my unit were likely in the ballpark of less than $100 dollars, and the labor took approximately 1 hours as Melvin pretty much knew exactly what the problem was within a couple of minutes after looking at the unit. So if you believe a repair like this is worth $2,004 dollars or $4,654 dollars that is on you, I'm glad my friend told me about Melvin. Melvin fixed the AC for a fraction of the cost of the estimates that the Bigger Named AC Contractors provided. I know exactly who I am going to call next time I need service on my AC unit.

Each month their after the system did not heat or cool our entire home. Here we are today 9/26 (almost a year later and numerous visit), the system they sold us is not cooling/heating our home and my electric bill has doubled since. The technician and his manager worked on coming up with a solution to what seemed to be a drainage pipe that had come apart in the AC closet. Due to lack of workable space, they recommended a new condensation pipe be run. This would have been quite costly even with a discount. I was able to figure out another way to access the pipe that had disconnected. Another technician came out and was able to replace the pvc pipe and secure it to the drainage. Sean Smith is the technician and he was very professional, polite and accommodating. He contacted his boss and they were able to fix everything and perform the maintenance work. I was very pleased that Del- Air was willing to work with me and that I didn't have to pay for a costly repair.

However, I have noticed a steady decline in professionalism over the last few years. Several weeks ago, my AC unit stopped cooling, so I called for service. Long story short, I was visited by about four individuals over several days while Mark (owner) looked for a new coil; then, he found one in his warehouse that he "forgot he had." After the coil was installed and the unit was cooling consistently, I had to beg him for a bill. He finally called to tell me the bill would be high but cheaper than a new unit, which he said would cost me about $10,000.00. Then, he emailed me a bill for $2,740.00 - $2,200.00 for the coil, and $540.00 for labor. Right after he sent me a bill, the unit started making noises and his office person, Karen, started harrassing me for money. I told her about the noises, and I received a call from one of their technicians this morning, stating that he had received a service call for this address but there was a hold on my account for non-payment. I was taken advantage of financially, and harrassed on top of it when I was trying to get them to come check the work they had recently completed. I have no intention of ever working with this company again. They acted as though I was an imposition, even as they stood there with their hand out.

I have had multiple AC repair companies come to my home due to two units failing and my Home…read morewarranty trying to repair vs replace 18 plus-year-old units. The unit that went out last year had 5 different AC companies come and try to repair after 6 months and 20 visits the unit was replaced. My first interaction with All Care was surprising, after calling to schedule an appointment, they had a tech out the same day. He got the unit running but said he would recommend replacement as no repair would keep this unit efficiently working. When the replacment day came they were out on time if not early. When I got home I found the new unit was not cooling, called them and they sent out a tech that night. Everything was good. Customer service was incredible, techs were polite and knowledgable. I highly recommend the customer service alone. I do not know what their prices are due to our home warranty but even if they were a few dollars more it would be worth it for the service alone.
