Finally getting to visit for the first time yesterday, I was struck by how full it was during an off-hour weekday and how the storefront's design carried potently into the interior decor. They've clearly fostered a welcoming atmosphere that's a prime example of a 3rd space, whose staff were competent and the prime example of this welcomeness (Y'all deserve a raise!). They had such a wide-ranging and diverse menu with creative and punny names. My Bonfire Cappuccino was tasty, but the real knockout was the avocado toast, something I don't usually order. My only criticism really is that the facility is marooned within a strip mall constricted by a vehicular parking lot from the main street that contributes to detrimental automotive-focused suburban design - especially by its impervious paving and vehicular circulatory areas and parking in what could have been an interconnected, denser, walkable, multi-modal environment in Hammock Landing - a neighborhood that would benefit from having this establishment have outdoor seating in such. All-in-all, it's not a conspiracy that this is a venue worth patronizing.

After the girl took an order, she went on to help at least four other cars that arrived after I did, even though she looked right at my car multiple times, so she knew I was there. By the time I was finally helped, I was already frustrated. I explained what had happened to the girl who came up, and she just said, "Sorry, I just got here," which didn't really address the situation. This isn't the first time I've had issues at this location. I go to the Palm Bay 7Brew all the time and never have problems, but every time I end up at the Malabar one, it's something like this. The kids size was less than $2 cheaper than a small, but instead of accommodating the request, they lost the sale entirely. What made it especially frustrating was that after making my smoothie, there was plenty left over. They offered my sister a sample and then poured the rest into the trash. It made absolutely no sense to refuse to sell me a smaller portion, only to waste that much product moments later. I understand businesses have policies, but this one resulted in poor customer service, a lost sale, and unnecessary waste. A little common sense and flexibility would have gone a long way. Typical "computer says no" management.
