Came here one weekday morning and found it to be busy enough to be a community and tourist space but not so busy it was overwhelming. The cashier seemed a little new, but nice. Thankfully, the barista was well well-versed and helped out. The latte I got was delicious and well-made. I love that they have a lot of community stuff going on and great meeting/study/workspaces. Simple but well crafted aesthetic inside. Lots of nice looking pastries as well, but I didn't sample this time. Maybe next!

We tried a few items from their beverage menu, including the specialty Churro Iced Latte, Mango Smoothie, and a Horchata Milk Tea. Each drink was well done and I liked the variety. I can be indecisive, but the descriptions made it easy to choose. The atmosphere of the cafe was cozy, despite the large space. It had a relaxing vibe, smelled great also. The baristas were friendly and efficient, managing to serve a solid line of customers within a short waiting period. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail regarding the espresso-to-milk ratio. As someone who is caffeine-sensitive, it was great that the barista mentioned the amount of espresso in my drink, so that I could adjust it. My husband appreciates that you don't just get a cup of "milk" when you're ordering a larger latte. It's a win-win. The Mango Smoothie was also surprising, my daughter loved it and she is picky! I had a little bit and liked it as well. I also decided to try the Horchata Milk Tea, just in case I didn't make it back, and I'm glad I did.

There is a half of slice of American cheese on it definitely don't I also wanted, but apparently they don't have that so I got an Americano, which is fine but it just seems like the type of place that up charges you everything and you'll be spending lots of money for low quality dot I guess the service was OK. After eating, we went into the little shop next door and could not get enough of it. The Alice in Wonderland merchandise is incredible and unlike anything you will find anywhere else. We wanted everything. This café and shop are such special gems and add so much character to Mentone. If you are visiting the area, this is an absolute must stop. I enjoy how they do seasonal/speciality drinks. They have always been tasty and this one was a new one I haven't had and it was great! They also offer non-dairy milk alternatives which I appreciate. I ordered the summer salad which has chicken, blueberries, strawberries, pecans, and feta cheese. I have gotten this salad previously and it used to be fresh and had lots of flavor. This time, everything fell flat and seemed several days old and the chicken was shredded, almost like super dry canned chicken. Before it was grilled so I'm not sure if I just came on a day before they got fresh produce or what. I'll be back and hope it's more like previous times.
