So good and spicy, it's really well-prepared and delicious! My husband had the chicken salad on a toasted croissant and he loved it as well. He's very picky about chicken and he loves the salad here at Carriage House. This is a really special spot in Jasper. They serve breakfast as well as lunch so be sure to give them a try. Finding the small door into the place can be tricky, so be sure to have the address and be patient looking for it. It's well worth your trouble!

The restaurant is cozy with multiple tables and a couple of bar stools (although I've never seen anyone sit at them). The servers are pleasant and refill coffee regularly. The French toast comes with a side. One that's not listed in the "sides" is 2 eggs cooked to order. I ordered them overmedium and they were PERFECTLY cooked. That's an art, my friends! $12 for 3 pancakes and potatoes is ridiculous though- especially with fake maple syrup. The muffins are huge for $4 and they are freshly baked. You can't go wrong with those! We'll definitely be back.

We enjoyed it as we listened to the old time jukebox as it bellowed 90's music. Great atmosphere. Chris and his wife have built something special. The shop is clean, welcoming, and incredibly well thought out. Whether you're looking for a comfortable couch to relax, a family table, an individual workspace with power outlets, or just a quiet place to read a book, they've created a space that works for everyone. One of my favorite touches was their community book exchange. Grab a book, enjoy a coffee or pastry, read for a while there or at home, and bring it back when you're finished. It's a simple idea, but it adds a lot of character to the shop. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I went with the COMBAT CLUB sandwich (ham, turkey, bacon, swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, garlic aoli on sourdough), chips, a Diet Coke, and a Reese's peanut butter cookie. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The sandwich was loaded with meat and made for a great lunch. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. You order and they'll call out your name for pick up when it's ready. I also got to meet Cassie, the service dog who quietly hangs out in her own little corner. She was adorable and perfectly behaved. What stood out most wasn't any single menu item... it was the atmosphere. The entire place feels like it was designed to bring people together. Between places like Roundabout Deli, Hatsu Hibachi, and now IGY6 Coffee Company, Dawsonville is building a reputation for some truly outstanding locally owned businesses. The coffee is actually pretty good, but my last 2 visits, a week apart, have been disappointing for the quality, freshness and price. I will give it a whirl for a 3rd time at the new location ... the 3rd time is a charm, right?... and everyone has off days or maybe growing pains? I very much would like for them to succeed.

The cheese was gooey as cheese should be and the sandwiches were perfectly toasted. I got a fresh fruit cup for my side, and while that may seem like a simple task - it's amazing how many times you get sad looking fruit with minimal variety. Not here! My cup had a mix of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and red and green grapes; everything looked absolutely fresh and perfectly ripe. My husband ordered a side of sweet potato chips. We actually thought they were homemade because they came out warm with just a little give to the chip. I actually asked them if they were made in-house and the clerk admitted that they weren't but that they warm them up to make them more tasty. I have to admit, it was a special treat and was a perfect accompaniment to the hot sandwich. Sadly, this place isn't really close to where we live, we just happened to be in the area for some business; however, I would actually make a special trip for this place.
