I can't give. 4.5 so it is what it is. Recommendations? The doriyaki by the door of course, and plenty of redbull!

Of course, I found it! This place is equal to cross between Whole Foods and Bristol Farms in CA. You'll be sure to find exclusive items you can't find elsewhere. Of course, it comes with an equally impressive price tag. My Maldon Salt cost the same as it would had I gotten it from a specialty store in SoCal such as The Butchery. I was just super psyched to have found it. Other things I like to get from here include: herbal tea and olive oil.

I wouldn't say that it's just a convenience store because it had a bit more merchandise than just grab and go snacks. There were cookies, Candies, and 3 in 1 coffee packets. I was surprised to see marshmallows with Brown from Line Friends. I had to get it for Kathy H.! LOL! We looked in another 360° and found Brown marshmallows, but no Cony... Sad... Haha! They even have ready to eat hot and cold foods. Having only been to the Hawaiian locations in thr US, this was the first Donki I have visited in Asia. While the items inside are aplenty, the space absolutely not. This location is kind of hidden and there are stairs to go down into the store or else you'll need do wait for an elevator that only reaches a hotel lobby (a bit odd). The snacks are my favorite items to grab here and I definitely like that the goods are extreme expensive. It is hard to explore the store because of the huge variety but think of it as an adventure when you go. Also, be prepared to brave the line because it is always crowded. Get ready to squeeze in and out of almost every aisle when it's thr evening or weekend.

A tribute to my favorite chili sauce from Hong Kong!…read more 余均益 (Yu Kwen Yick) is the stuff of legends. That curious looking almost orange-esque delight in a glass bottle has a simply irresistible flavor that doesn't scorch your throat, and has a very light sweetness with a fermented sour finish. The main ingredient? Fermented sweet potatoes. Be careful with it, it is not soju! This is a family run business that has been around for quite a number of decades. The founder is of Shunde (Shun Tak) extraction and has been doing this secret recipe the same way, literally stone grinding the fermented sweet potatoes and adding whatever is necessary to make this magic sauce. Thus batches are rather limited, and there is consistency in quality. There are no preservatives so try to consume within the expiration date. The family that owns this business rarely does interviews, and they do not wholesale to supermarket chains. If you search high and low, you may find YKY available for sale at random smaller mom and pop grocery stores, because they are trying to help each other out. They do not export this chili sauce, so if you see it somewhere in Toronto or Richmond Hill at some supermarket, it was probably brought over by airplane/hand carried. So the easiest way to get it, is right here at this location. Call ahead before coming, you don't want to trek here to find out they are closed. This magic sauce....what can you add it to to make the dish taste infinitely better? Dry fry beef chow fun - 干炒牛河 (the classic de facto pairing) Fried noodles - 炒麵 Pan fried daikon cake 蘿蔔糕 (lor bak go) Won Ton Noodles - 雲吞麵 (you will be very surprised that this is actually a classic pariring, particularly if the noodles have broth on the side) Steamed rice rolls - 豬腸粉 (another classic pairing) I even went so far as to bring the sauce over to a sushi restaurant and had them make a spicy tuna handroll with it. And holy shizzle miss dizzle, it was so damn good! (Though the chef was snickering and wondering WTF is this stuff.)

If you enjoy tofu in general, you must try this place. You can probably guess based on the name that they make all their tofu products, including soybean milk which is also very popular. Fun fact! I have lived in Sham Shui Po until I was about 10 years old. Kung Wo is about 5 minute walk from our old apartment and I have no recollection of ever having the tofu here. It's my older sister's favorite tofu place so we had to stop by to grab a bowl of good old hot tofu, which is like a dessert. Be aware the dining area is small and cramped. You will likely have to sit next to a stranger in close proximity. It is street food style and casual dining. Folks order, eat and go! The tofu without a doubt was smooth, silky and fresh. I'm not a huge fan but my sister really enjoyed it. I was feeling something savory and got a mix plate of Cheung Fun (rice noodle rolls), fish balls, and fish shui mai. It was alright. It's a Bib Gourmand so we thought it would be busy but it was pretty empty on a Saturday morning. There appears to be two storefronts but only one has actual tables and chairs to dine-in. I didn't look too hard at the other but it seems like take-out. Once seated, there's a ton of paper menus to mark down your order. We handed it off to the workers and the food came out in less than 5 minutes. So fast! Tofu Pudding: Choose either hot or cold, sugar or sugar-free. We ordered one to share so we couldn't stuff ourselves and it was just the right amount. Super silky! Maybe it's just me but if we each had our own, I would've gotten tired of the texture real fast. The sugar version wasn't that sweet too and we ended up adding the orange/yellow sugar, which is provided at each table. Mix Deep Fried (6 pieces): If you want to try a bit of everything, you can order this sampler of various deep fried snacks. It comes with two pieces each of deep fried tofu, tofu puffs, and golden fish and soya cakes. Pretty good snack but it's made a little better with the various sauces at the table. It's not like crispy, deep fried but a little soggy already. Overall, not bad but it didn't stand out for me.
