I was so grateful to have Dr. Z come to my apartment to care for my newborn and me. Dr. Z is knowledgeable, kind, and flexible. The model of having the first two months of my child's care from home was so comforting- it allowed me and my baby to stay in the home and rest and heal after delivery. Meg from Tova health handled all the admin stuff. She made scheduling, paperwork, and setting-up the patient portal super simple. When it was time to transition beyond the first two months of care, Dr. Z and Meg helped us find the best pediatrician and make sure they had all our records. Awesome experience! Tova Health is the best!

I was not able to get out of bed for over a week after the birth, so our first meeting was with her sitting at the foot of my bed. Thank goodness we chose her for my daughter's pediatrician because there was no way I would have been able to take her to an office. I really needed the fourth trimester care to help me process the trauma from birth, and Dr. Z let me cry and repeat the story over and over again. I'll never forget the time she hugged me and promised me something good would come out of it. She was also provided excellent care to my daughter. I will never forget our crazy first meeting and her kindness. She listened and provided me care when my own OB/GYN's office failed to do so. It is absolutely ludicrous the postpartum care we receive. This fourth trimester care model should be mandatory everywhere.

Other doctors certify patients for a full year at the time of the first visit, which is what the law allows. I saw Dr. Uma and she gave me a complete physical, which was fine, but I didn't need one. She talked to me all through it telling me all about how Medical Marijuana works (I already knew quite a bit of this.) What can I say, she was charming. Then she gave me my certification, ( not a hard one, my illness is right in the literature.) But then my certification cancelled after a few months. I went to the pharmacy and was told it was no longer any good. I am not sure what she has to check out after 3 and again after 6 months. The disease will remain and she can't even recommend particular strains, they're not allowed to. So, if the idea of medical Marijuana makes you squeamish, and you need someone classy to make it seem all right, and you can pay extra for this service...be my guest. Otherwise, check out less high overhead operations.

Do not get mad at me because the doctor told me something yesterday and I'm following her instructions. I should have listened to Dr Perna the first time I met her when she was more than an hour late for our first appointment so I left and about 50 minutes late for our second first appointment. She was upset I was upset. And she said I should find another doctor because she will continue to be at least an hour late but insisted I be on time. Passive aggressive poorly run practice. Run away.

I was in need of a new doctor and she was accepting new patients. Yuko is incredibly thorough and does not finish your visit until all questions are answered. Dr. Yuko is kind and incredibly funny, which makes the entire experience much less stressful. There have been times where some of the people working in the office have been a little scattered (which I have experienced often at many other medical practices, so it happens) but her crew right now is awesome. If you want a doctor who honestly cares about you, as a person and a patient, I cannot recommend Dr. Yuko enough. She feels like a friend that you see every so often and for that I commend her efforts in making her practice a true family practice.
