I had to come back to AutoZone asking for help after trying for 10 minutes he told me he is not allowed to remove part to reach the headlight ... So I went to the Subaru dealer, literally just one block away. Told the guy at the service department what happened. He took my key and said he'd take care of it. I went to the waiting room, grabbed a snack and a bottle of water, sat down, and started eating... Right at that moment, he walked in and told me all my lights were working! "You're good to go!" I asked him how much I needed to pay, and he said it was free. I'm not sure if it's normal or just Midwest "nice":) but the weather had been unpredictable so it's less stressful knowing it's fixed before I hit the road

I visited this Subaru dealership in Rapid City, SD during a recent trip to the Black Hills region…read moreof the state as I consider my next move into retirement. As an FYI, this dealership is one of ONLY TWO in the entire state of South Dakota (the other being on the other side of the state in Sioux Falls). I wanted to check out the dealer's inventory of new 2026 Outbacks since the car was completely redesigned for the 2026 model year. While this is a relatively small Subaru dealership compared to others I've been to near where I live on the East Coast, they had a pretty impressive inventory of new 2026 Outbacks in a variety of trim levels. They also had a nice inventory of other Subaru models, too. While I was not buying at the moment, I spoke with a young salesman who did not apply the usual pressure tactics; he informed me that in So. Dakota, documentation fees are minimal because the buyer is responsible for paying the sales taxes, registration and title fees themselves and that those requirements are fulfilled in the buyer's county treasurer's offices. Thus, the potential for additional dealer profiteering rip-offs that can be seen in states like NEW JERSEY and FLORIDA where the documentation fees are UNREGULATED by the STATE do not occur in So. Dakota. This was refreshing to hear and I decided that when I buy my next Subaru after my move to South Dakota in 2027, that I will seriously consider returning to COURTESY SUBARU in Rapid City.

**We are going to State's Attorney about a condemed car!…read more My fiance bought a chevy from Auto King located on Haines Avenue 2 weeks ago. My fiance is a young Native American (don't know if that had anything to do with some of the way he was treated) working hard by working a full time job and going to school full time. He trusted this business to help him as on their website they state they sell quality, reliable vehicles. He knew it was a used car so some small issues were expected and we took it in to have the AC fixed the first week we had it. The mechanic informed him this vehicle was not drivable and he was lucky he didn't have a bad wreck or was killed driving this vehicle as the rear axel was completely erroded and technically was not even connected to the vehicle. It could have come off at any moment. The car was pretty much totaled. We also had a second opinion, same thing, car was not drivable and severely dangerous in the state it was in. We have plenty of pictures and video! He contacted the dealership and informed them of the issue. They stated he bought the vehicle as is and they were not responsible for it. The scary thing was he test drove this vehicle like this and could have been killed as the wheels and axel weren't even connected! How would someone know their life was in danger test driving a vehicle? Should probably get ahold of this business's insurance provider and let them know that they are letting the public drive dangerous vehicles where the whole back axel, breaks, and tires could fall off while driving and severely injure or kill someone! We reached out to the dealership and were informed that they buy these vehicles at auction and don't have them checked by a mechanic and don't even do a car fax on them and it is a possibility there could be something wrong but that is the responsibility of the buyer to identify. Yet they want to sell these cars for full retail price! After much discussion and pressure to do the right thing, we were able to get the owner to agree to give a $3000 credit for another vehicle on the lot since he was out thousands of dollars due to her selling him a vehicle that was completely totaled and not even safe to be on the road for full price! Luckily nobody was killed! Yesterday he went and looked at two of their other vehicles. One vehicle that the mechanic looked at needed a new engine. The second vehicle needed close to $3000 in repairs. We went back to the owner and asked if she would at least give another $1000 off if we took the vehicle to help cover some of the repairs to meet half way at least to make this nightmare end. She would not agree to it at first saying that she makes no money off her vehicles and it isn't her problem. We had to use threats. This business has no integrity. After discussing it, we decided we would cut our loses and not take any of their vehicles as ALL 3 of the ones we inspected had major repairs needing thousands of dollars of work (the first one CONDEMED, see the pics!) He would have to consolidate a loan to pay for another vehicle plus his salvaged one plus thousands of dollars of repairs for another Auto King vehicle. Their website states "we only carry quality reliable vehicles ". A vehicle with a malfunctioned broken axel and tires not even connected to the vehicle is not reliable....that's not even normal repairs needed on a used car, that's a totaled vehicle that had to go straight to the salvage yard!!!

Definitely not a traditional "used car" salesman. I totally trust him and his recommendations. After we hit the "buy button" we worked with Melody for financing. She was wonderful and actually found us lower interest rates then we were getting at our own credit union. Perfect!! Thank you for helping us. Today it was snowing and we stopped back at the dealership because the wipers were making a noise on the windshield. We spoke to Tim Schuster and he immediately took our Jeep into service and changed out the blades. WOW. That is amazing customer service. Thank you Liberty Jeep for making this car buying experience so easy! I will definitely recommend you to my friends and family.

Customer service in the service department has been extremely disappointing…read more I brought in my 2020 Tiguan for an oil‑consumption issue (losing about a quart every 800 miles). I dropped it off on Monday and was told it would be in the shop by Wednesday or Thursday. By Thursday afternoon, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called for an update. They told me it hadn't been looked at yet but would let me know when it was. I asked whether I should make an appointment and was told it wasn't necessary. When I called again Friday, they said it had been in the shop but the technician hadn't finished testing. I never received a single status call or text. When I mentioned I wasn't getting their text updates, they just shrugged. On Monday, they told me my oil was full and therefore there was no oil‑consumption problem. I explained that I had topped it off before bringing it in because I don't drive around low on oil. Only then did they agree to continue testing. After 11 days, they said they found nothing wrong. When I asked about the excessive vacuum at the oil breather cap, they dismissed it as "not a problem." Then they handed me a $170 bill for their "inspection" and tried to upsell me on brakes, a tire rotation, and transaxle fluid service. I declined. Overall, the lack of communication, the dismissive attitude, and the upsell attempt after nearly two weeks without answers were unacceptable.
