Avoid Gateway Autoplex. In August 2025 I purchased a vehicle…read morefrom them and also purchased a service contract for $6,999.00. The same day I brought the vehicle home, a safety-related system (emergency SOS) was already malfunctioning. This was never disclosed prior to purchase. On March 23, 2026, the vehicle had a failure involving a major system module. Repair cost: $2,383.69. The service contract company (Fidelity Warranty Services) denied the claim and refused to provide any written explanation. Because I purchased my car and service contract from Gateway Autoplex, I reached out to them for assistance. I was not expecting Gateway Autoplex to pay for the repairs, but I had an expectation that they would help me pursue payment through the service contract. I expected basic customer support and assistance in navigating the claim, since they sold me this service contract. I couldn't even get that far. Gateway Autoplex was completely unresponsive. I called multiple times, was left on hold, once for 7 minutes, was told someone would call me back, and never received a single return call. The person answering the phone would not connect me with anyone who could help. I even requested to speak with ownership--no response. To make matters worse, shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I was told by the Service Manager that the vehicle had not been properly inspected before it was sold. Because the car sold so quickly, it was not inspected. This experience raises serious concerns: *Selling a vehicle with a safety system malfunction on day one. *Charging thousands for a service contract that does not deliver. *Refusing to provide documentation when denying a claim. *Providing no customer support or assistance after the sale. This dealership took my money and offered no support when there was a problem. They did not stand behind their product. Proceed with extreme caution if you are considering a purchase from Gateway Autoplex.

After confronting the manager, I was told, "For what you paid and how old it is, you should have expected it to have a bad engine." Apparently, a $6,700 vehicle they advertised as "runs great" only meant it ran--but not for long. I am now in contact with the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and others they have deceived, and we are working together to stop them from taking advantage of more people. Hopefully the state can do something. If you been screwed over or know someone please have them contact the email I set up. fraudgateway@gmail.com.

We could have driven our more economical vehicle for this thousands of miles road trip had we only known. What a joke, and no offer of accommodation for our inconvenience.

They did not plan on making it right…read more. My daughter bought a newer car from Liberty Mitsubishi on October 30th. She had paid for a car fax of the car and it said airbags were deployed at some point. She mentioned that to the salesman and he stated that it was just a false deployment and they fixed the issue. It also said there was some rear-end damage but it was also fix by a company. Ok, everything should be good. Fast forward to December 26th. Driving across the state, the car starts to over heat. She is stranded an hour and a half from home and had to leave the car at a gas station for days because the dealership wouldn't send anyone to get the car unless she paid $1200 for it. My husband had to rent a u-haul dolly to get it back to Rapid. They tell her she need to take it to Chevrolet. They put it up on the hoist and tells her that at one point this vehicle was in an accident that tilted the radiator enough where the belts ruined the hoses. There were even self tapping screws holding parts together. This car should have been a salvage title and not sold. We found out that they actually bought it through auction as well as a few others and had to send the others back as there was more wrong with the cars than they had disclosed. She fought with them on getting a different car since it has been less than 90 days from the day of purchase. They were so rude and not understanding of the situation at all. They actually blamed her for the damage to begin with. Then they wouldn't even give her a loaner car until she threw a fit because she wasn't 26 or over. They said to her "don't you have something else to drive?" I don't know of anyone with a secondary vehicle under the age of 26. If they are old enough and responsible enough to purchase a vehicle at 21 and of the legal age to vote, I would think having a loaner car would be ok as well. In the end she finally was able to get a different vehicle from them but not until someone else started yelling. I will never again be buy anything from Liberty and that was who we purchased our last 3 vehicles from.

If there was an option for negative stars, Granite Motors would deserve it…read more We brought our daughter's 2016 Buick (with give or take 75,000 miles) into their service department because the check engine light kept coming on. The service writer told us the turbo was the problem and that it was covered by warranty. We were shocked, so we asked THREE different times if he was certain. Each time, he confidently reassured us it was covered. Based on that guarantee, we agreed to move forward and even requested pricing on additional maintenance. By Monday, after hearing nothing, we called--only to be told: "You're going to be upset with me." Suddenly, the story changed. Now the turbo wasn't covered. The excuse? He "fat-fingered the VIN number." This wasn't a one-time slip-up; it was repeated misinformation given three separate times. That's not just sloppy--it's outright negligence. Even worse, the service manager and dealership manager admitted fault, yet the best they were willing to offer was a measly $230 off labor. Then, instead of making things right, they started avoiding us altogether. At one point, their response was literally: "Well, you're more than welcome to come and get your vehicle as we don't have to do the work." That statement sums up the culture at Granite Motors: zero accountability, zero integrity, and zero respect for customers. They admitted fault and still refused to honor their word. That's not customer service--it's a bait-and-switch backed by arrogance. We will never do business with Granite Motors again, and we strongly urge anyone considering them for sales or service to take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of dealerships who actually stand behind their word. Granite Motors is not one of them.
