Great place for a espresso drink. There are not many places around here that serve espresso drinks so I was very surprised when I stumbled on this place. I went on a weekend and it was fairly quiet. I was able to get my latte in a real mug which was a bonus. It was the best latte I have had in awhile. They had a few breakfast items. The nice part was that they are able to cater to all sorts of diets. My friend ordered an egg sandwich without the bread and they gave it to her in a nice bowl with all of her toppings. It was a great portion size for the price. It was around 9:30 and wanted something off the lunch menu and they were able to make it for me no questions asked. The only thing I would change about this place was that the atmosphere is a little cold and it doesn't have that cozy hang out vibe like some coffee shops. read more

Just discovered this place a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the BLT and an iced vanilla latte and they were both delicious! The sandwich was perfect proportions and lightly toasted. The iced latte had the perfect amount of flavor and milk to compliment the coffee! I came back today and ordered a make your own breakfast sandwich and the quality was just as good as my first experience. Perfect proportions, nicely wrapped up, and perfectly warm. This is quite an interesting place. I really recommend that everyone should give this place a try. That being said.... I was really expecting a unique coffee shop here. But instead, they use Kaldi's Coffee. Kaldi's Coffee may offer good training to their Baristas, but they make TERRIBLE coffee. Not only that, it's everywhere now. There was one Gentleman, taller- with glasses and red hair, He made an excellent Double Macchiato. There seems to be a genuine interest in some of the employees at this place, and zero interest with others. They're all really friendly people, though. All of the ones I've seen working, at least. They make an attempt to say Hello and Goodbye when a customer walks in. Being recognized as a customer makes this place feel comfortable. But that Fast-Food style dinning room they have, simply ruins it all. They keep it clean. Real clean. But the decor and furniture makes Panera Bread look like a Five-Star Dinning experience. I was looking for a good coffee shop in Ballwin. Instead I got really good food, for an okay price. There wasn't all THAT much food for 7 bucks. Stopped in here for a quick coffee while running errands one day (love me some Kaldi's!) and we have been back at least once a week since then. It is always super fresh, quick, and tasty! Today I had the crunchy kale salad. First of all...I was presented with a ginormous bowl of yummies! I generally get towards the end of a salad and pick out the good stuff. 6 North Cafe has been a spot I would visit to study and do computer work over the past 3 years. The quality in food is very consistent, and their prices are very fair. One thing I noticed is that cleanliness is often unkept in the dining area, especially when they get busy. I understand they get real slammed during lunch in the weekends, but I don't think it would hurt having an extra person staffed to sweep, turn tables, clean around the trash bins, and help with the flow of things--I think the workers are stretched too thin at times. This is a recurring theme I observed over the years. Also, I noticed people get confused on how to sort out their plates, silverware, and trash at the trash bins. Perhaps they could make instructions more clear so it's easier to bus all the kitchenware for the workers. I also notice that there is frequently some confusion between the front and the back with orders, and this has led to some mistakes in orders of mine. Service was fast, place was clean. I got the 1/2 sandwich and soup with the club and tomato bisque. The bisque was good, lots of chunks and yummy basil but the sandwich was disappointing. Average deli place. I would bump it to 3.5 stars, but not quite four. It's in a good location off Clayton. Inside the restaurant is modern, with clean lines. The menu has a good selection at reasonable prices. Our food was just average. I got the 6 North Turkey club, no mustard. Ended up without mayo too. The avocado on it is in slices, not spreader evenly, so that was a tad odd. I think it would have been really good had the avocado and mayo (if it was on my sandwich) was mixed together and then spread on with maybe a dash of salt and garlic. It was average, but def missing something. My husband had The Italian. He didn't like it at all. Probably should be on an Italian sub and toasted, maybe? The chips were good-we both had the Parmesan garlic. We love that we see more places carrying the brands that aren't mainstream. Doritos can be found anywhere, RyeStreet brand can't. The fountain soda drink area was a tad messy as well. We ended up eating outside on the patio, which is basically a sidewalk looking at the parking lot, but we still appreciated it since it wasn't busy with traffic. Great coffee/sandwich shop with super nice employees and fast service. I was starving so I got a chicken salad sandwich (delicious pulled chicken in mayo) which was huge, a side of pasta salad (Italian dressing with olives, tomatoes), some crazy good Dill Pickle flavored non-GMO chips, and a frozen salted caramel toddy (like a smoother Frappucino). After eating my food and sampling the toddy, I remembered I'm pregnant (easier to forget than one might think, especially when ordering food on an empty stomach). Went to ask the coffee-making-gentleman (baristo?) about the caffeine content (I think you can have 8oz of caffeinated coffee a day while pregnant, no more) and he explained how they make it from cold-brewed coffee. When I explained it tasted great but I was worried about caffeine because I was pregnant, he immediately said he'd remake it for me with decaf. Really impressed with that -- it was obviously my own fault for not ordering decaf in the first place, so I really appreciated that I still got to enjoy the delicious frozen coffee drink. Bonus tip then for caffeine hounds -- get the frozen toddy! It's got lots of caffeine! So yeah, this place is awesome. I go to 6 north at least once a week. Food is great, their coffee is always good quality. The customer service is exceptional.

Great coffee and breakfast items. I hesitated to give this place a better rating because their sandwiches need some love. Very plain and over priced. I asked for mustard and they stared at me like I was an alien. And same with mayo. I had a dry sandwich and had to ask for anything additional and it seemed like a burden. This little neighborhood cafe is awesome. They have a variety of sandwiches and salads for lunch, but they're breakfast is better in my opinion. I love the build your own breakfast sandwich option they have, because you can make it as healthy as you want with egg whites and whole wheat toast or as unhealthy as you want with eggs and a croissant. Either way they are both delicious. Another plus is that they have avocado spread that you can add on any of these sandwiches. I also love their granola bars. They taste just like Companion, if not better. They are a perfect sweet treat. Honestly, what keeps me coming back is the customer service. There is a British guy who is awesome, but this morning I went for breakfast and there was the sweetest worker who rang me out. My boyfriend ordered a sandwich and I originally ordered a bagel for here. After a few moments I went back up and asked if I could get the bagel to go and save it for later because I wanted a sandwich instead. I apologized for the trouble and she was the nicest, assuring me how it was not a problem even though she was about to bring it out. I wish I knew her name, because that customer service is so hard to find nowadays. Overall, this place is a great stop by if you are in the neighborhood. Great food and great people! read more

I was looking for a place to write. A place where it feels like home, but not too comfortable (I might find a napping corner). I stopped in at 6 North, since I was in the area. I walked in and the place seemed to fit my criteria of comfort. Light music, quiet atmosphere. People sat in booths and at tables, laptops out or small meetings. Perfect! Allowing me time to scan the menu, the front counter person took my order. I ordered the breakfast wrap and a decaf coffee. The wrap arrived at my table in about 5-7 minutes. The large whole wheat wrap was chucked full of goodies. I bit into it and the flavors from the sausage rolled over my taste buds with a river of moist flavors of tarragon, sage and whatever magical blend that awakened my taste buds. Behind it, the cool, mild, salsa gently washed into the sausage flavor with a sprinkling of cheese to round out the total culinary delight. The flavors finished from an an interior cradle of peppery greens. Nicely done! I believe my eyes may have rolled back into my head, at some point and I had to stop writing. :). The black coffee complemented the entire breakfast experience. This place is a keeper! Now on to writing!! read more

This was my first time at this place. I went here for lunch with friends. The prices are great $7.30 for half sandwich and side salad. I had the Dill Turkey sandwich and a side salad with the Homemade Ranch. All the ingredients were very fresh- lettuce, abundance of cherry tomatoes and big chunky croutons. The side salad was substantial for a "side salad". The Homemade Ranch dressing was not thick like some pre-made dressings and had some delicious flavor that made you want to have more. The Dill Turkey was on fresh soft rye bread. There was plenty of seating for a late lunch around 1:30pm. They have some outdoor seating too. read more

We have eaten several times at Six North Cafe. They have great flatbread pizzas, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and coffees. The owner and workers are really friendly. They have artwork on the wall from a local artists and books in the corner from local authors. There is some construction going on in the strip they are in so some people may not realize they are open, and the name doesn't indicate they are a sandwich/salad place. I loved the Reuben and each of the salads I've tried. The smoothies are some of the best I've had anywhere. read more

I really want to like this place, but no. Hit the drive through this morning and after ordering we were stuck behind the car in front of us for 20 min. Guy at the window handed us a bag of someone else's food and left the window. Went inside to ask what's up and there were 10 other people with the wrong orders, one woman behind the register in complete hysterics, and no one else seeming to give two craps. Handed her the bag of wrong food, they took it and tossed it in a pile of other bags of wrong food and through the tears (I was nice, she was crying Long before we showed up) said she didn't know how to give refunds. The only part of our order they got right was a cup of coffee. Went to put in some milk and sugar while they sorted things out, milk thing was full of ice. So we left without a refund, food, or time left on my Saturday morning. Fail all around. I really want to support local business... I really do. The food here isn't even that good, but I come back because I don't want to go to the Einsteins down the block for the same cup of coffee and have my money go to a corporation. But, if you can't train enough people to pour a cup of Coffee and put a bagel in a bag (or at least give a refund when you can't handle that), you really suck at running your business. So I'm standing in line at Einsteins writing this. At least here I know I'm going to be disappointed. read more

A coworker and I went to lunch here one day last week. We had purchased coupons from a website (paid $6 for $12 to spend). I thought their menu had some pretty interesting choices, so I was excited to try it out. I got one of their sandwiches that was a special. It was a chicken sandwich with sundried tomato pesto, avocado, balsamic vinegar, and a couple of other things I can't remember at the moment. It was put on bread (kind of looked like naan, but not sure exactly what kind of bread it was) and pressed. The sandwich was pretty good, but a tad dry. I almost felt like I needed some sort of sauce to dip the sandwich into. My friend ordered the same thing, and then ordered the turkey pesto melt to take home. She really liked both sandwiches, but the turkey pesto was her favorite. The sandwich didn't come with any sides, so I bought a bag of chips. However, the sandwich was so filling that I didn't even end up eating the chips while I was there. They also have a small selection of desserts. I ordered a piece of gooey butter cake for myself, and a rice krispie treat to take home for the husband. I am a gooey butter cake snob, pretty much no gooey butter cake lives up to my mom's. 6 North's was pretty good...not at my mom's level, but better than many others that I've had. The husband enjoyed his rice krispy treat - it was VERY large. All in all, this is a cute place pretty close to my office, so I am sure I'll be back to try out some of the other items on the menu. read more

Went to support the fundraiser for Officer Flamion. They were slammed but handled it really well. Food was great, service was great. Have been there before many times but my husbands first time, he thought it was one of the best salads he ever had. Our group of four was looking for an affordable, healthy, tasty dinner close to our hotel. We took the good reviews from Yelp as a good indication for this cafe and gave it a try. We only had stayed for a brief dinner. (We arrived 30 minutes before close.) It wasn't a super fancy cafe (the water got a splash of lemon from the beverage fountain) but it was just what we had wanted. We especially enjoyed the mandarin orange salad (candied nuts and cheese!), the Cobb salad (very generous toppings), and mac 'n cheese (a homemade, peppery addition to the yummy chicken and ranch sandwich). read more
