There's sooo many clothing stores and eating place in the mall that I been waiting for something different to pop up. This place answered that call. The goal is to use a weapon of your choice (pistol or 2 other rifles) to shoot down 6 targets, if you hit all 6, you win a prize (a medium sized plushie!). It cost $20 for 6 games. One game = 10 shots from your chosen weapon. In other words, you get 10 tries to knock down 6 targets, which I think is rather difficult since a few of the targets are really small. Whether you win or lose, you get a small prize (small plushie).The games can go by pretty quickly because after you shoot your first shot, you immediately want to shoot the other 9. As a person with no airsoft experience, I only hit 2 targets each game. The guns have almost no recoil and the shots aren't that loud, so it's a game that can be casually played with a date or your friends. You don't need to wear goggles or anything either. A co-worker was leaving for a new job elsewhere, and I decided to buy her a parting gift. Originally, I was supposed to go to Sanrio store to buy her a doll. I checked prices, and they were pretty steep, so I decided to go to other stores to see if I could get a better value. I knew there was a tokyo lifestyle store in this mall and other stores that had toys. I came across 6mm and saw the walls of toys in this store, and I found a hello kitty doll for less than the Sanrio store. The next time I come back, I will make sure to try out the shooting. Review for 6MM Airsoft Range, Arcadia CA. My relatives are visiting me from out-of-state, and they wanted to go shopping at a well-known mall. Coming here had been on my to-do list for a while, since I wanted to come visit this rendition of the 6MM Airsoft Range to see if they operated any differently from their Montclair version. I'm sad to say, that I probably found this place a bit worse compared to the Montclair range. Upon walking into the store - it was very much like the other location, filled with stuffed animals everywhere. The targets themselves in the range are about 18 - 20 feet from the barrier. The only difference here in logistics, are that they offered a $10 for 50rds practice range, that yielded no prize at the end, just 50 shots total. Being an Airsoft Veteran and Technician, that's a huge profit for the store since a bag of 5000 .20g BBs cost around $10. My review is primarily going to be geared towards basic firearms safety, and the interaction between the consumer and employees. I was served by a young woman with no make-up. She asked which booth and replica I wanted to shoot from. I selected the rifle. Immediately, after she inserted the magazine, I was handed the replica - and it wasn't on safe; red flag. I proceeded to putting the replica on safe, and putting it down on the shooting booth in front of me. I wasn't given a pair of safety glasses, but luckily enough, there were a pair on the wall of the booth. So, I grabbed it. The lady seeing that I grabbed the glasses stopped me, and told me that they weren't "required", and were only required for kids; 2nd red flag. The final red flag for me, was noticing while I was shooting, that BBs retained enough momentum to make it back to at least peg me, but back out into the store via ricochet. While it may not retain enough force, all it takes is 1 BB to hit the eye of someone and temporarily blind them - just a lawsuit waiting to happen. I had completed my 6-games winning 2 prizes, I observed other customers at the range being served by who I would later come to know as the son of the owner. Every other customer shot at the range with no instruction of basic firearms safety, nor were told/offered to wear safety glasses - and as expected, ricochets happened. After the last group of customers left, I spoke with the manager (son of owner). I asked if he played Airsoft, and not just "shooting at the range" or "plinking" type. He responded in the negative, and only had experience at the range. I also asked if he had any firearms experience, and he responded in the negative aside from what he had at the Airsoft range. As any certified firearms instructor, and passionate Airsoft veteran would say, in representation of our community - we each need to be compelled to inform those who "misrepresent" our community with poor safety practices, the correct way. We're in a state where laws are unfavorable to firearms, and firearm replicas (Airsoft), we don't need anymore misrepresentation and unsafe handling misunderstandings from the general public. So I'll restate those things here in the issues presented. Universal rule: All FIREARMS laws, rules and procedures apply to AIRSOFT. 1. You should always wear eye-protection when shooting. It is required on the range, and at any sanctioned Airsoft field. Eyes are irreplaceable. 2. You should never hand ANYONE a firearm, and on any fire mode other than SAFE. If you must, place the firearm down, and let them pick it up themselves. ALWAYS assume a firearm is loaded. 3. Bullets and Airsoft BBs can ricochet with enough force to cause bodily harm. Airsoft BBs may not have the muzzle energy behind it to kill, but it can severely damage your eyes, or leave visible welts. Just as in the law of ricochets, you can still be held liable for any and all damages caused by these ricochets. I offered these guidelines/suggestions to the manager - whether he decides to implement them, and take them more seriously is his prerogative. But, I don't want anyone in the general public getting giving our community a bad name, and potentially enacting laws prohibiting our: hobby, sport, and lifestyle. Unfortunately, I cannot give anything higher than a 1-star for all of these basic safety violations, no matter how great the prizes are. Fix these issues on my next visit, I'll do an update. ----- + ----- P.S. Answer to other reviews. Q: "The sights aren't properly zeroed", "no platform to lean/base against", "I shoot for a living, it's impossible to hit targets". Short Answer: Use your marksmanship ability. Adjust the sights yourself. Long Answer: It's a business. They're trying to make money. They can't make it easy for you to just win and wipe their store out of prizes and merchandise. Any real marksman knows that shooting an unfamiliar gun for the first time, is about "feeling" the gun out to know how it shoots. read more

Super fun carnival spot was great and new seeing something like this at the mall. You can choose either a pistol or rifle depending on your preference. There are 6 targets 3 big and 3 small. They are NOT rigged. You can shoot them down if you can hit it. Small prizes for 1 win large prizes for 1+ wins. $5 a game $20 for 6 games. We chose to do 3 games each. It was definitely fun and fine for $20! We ended up winning a game and I got a small stuffed toy! read more

6mm Airsoft Range, basically a bb gun toy gun range, is indeed pretty fun. The shop itself is a bit hard to find, located in a small section with only a narrow entrance, inconspicuously sandwiched between JC Penny and H&M. Look to the right of the escalators carefully if you struggle to pinpoint its whereabouts. The overall vibe is a little weird, combining quite the adult theme of combat, gun shooting, and implied violence, juxtapositioned with colorful plush toy prizes with the likes of yellow Minions, orange Charmanders, and white unicorns. But you know what, appealing enough to lure curious me inside for a looksie after 2 mall visits. I guess it worked. Rules are simple: choose from 3 gun types, knock down all 6 targets (3 big ones, and 3 tiny ones), out of 10 available shots, to win 1 prize. There is no time limit, and no leaning on the table. Sounds easy enough since I am usually a great shot. When I finally gave in to play, I found out the reality was MUCH different. Another Yelper claimed the rifles are not sighted in, and while I cannot confirm nor deny, I noticed that I was missing my targets A LOT. Given, I had no support in the form of a rifle stand or anything similar, and I was only shooting my guns in only a standing position, my absolute best score was only 4 targets shot out of 10 bullets. And that seemed pretty good from what I saw at the time. No other customer did any better. As a reference, I was able to have close to 100% hit rate with similar toy guns at an escape room, provided that I had a stabilizing support. So... did I suck? Or was something up? However, no matter. I really did have fun. The entire experience yielded no prize, but might as well, since I honestly didn't want any of the available toy selections. As an adult, I've outgrown most of these; but the thrill and excitement of successfully knocking 66% of my objectives were rewarding enough for me. So I suggest you to do the same. Walk in there to enjoy a great experience. The possible souvenir is just an added bonus. Finally, pricing: 1 game, with 10 shots, for $5. Or 6 games for $20, games splitting among players allowed. (There's also one middle tier option, though I forgot what it was, and sharing wasn't allowed.) One maximal prize win permitted for $20 package. And here's my analysis: $5 for at most 2-3 minutes of game play (on average), expensive! Hence this price ratio, most of the time, effectively and ingeniously forces customers to shell out for a $20 package instead, rendering each round only roughly costing $3, which is much more affordable. A better deal, if you will. However, the slapping on of the minor term of 1 possible prize out of 6 games--when the game itself is already incredibly difficult for most laymen--seems like a cheap tactic, in more than one sense of the word. I honestly think they should even consider offering a tiny consolation prize for anyone who purchases a $20 deal; it's a very common practice at most theme parks now. May I suggest to owners: How about a small sticker or button (with a company logo) for those who buy the $20 deal? Or a pen? I would love the actual utility of a pen, even a cheap one. That's just basically hidden marketing dressed in a clever disguise. And no one goes home empty-handed. What essentially happened for me and my partner was, we walked in, paid $20, had quite the fun time, then walked back out, all within the span of maybe 7 minutes max. Losing that much cash in that little amount of time, still seems a bit steep to me, and therefore my rating... ...this is what I consider a 3.5 stars type of attraction, though not yet worthy enough for a rounding up. A decent experience with a premium price tag, 6mm is something that I am glad I tried, and may return in the future from time to time. read more

Don't waste your money. They did something to their equipments. The large plates won't fall. The first couple shots were right on the small targets. After that you can see the pellets fly in curve. Safety. What safety? They don't require safety glasses. You can see ricochet coming back. read more

They have a Grand opening deal where you can play 6 games for $20. That's 60 rounds! Most of the targets are pretty hard to hit but it is quite fun. It's pretty easy to get trigger happy when you finally hit your targets. Guns have only a little bit of recoil and you're given the option to try shooting with 3 different types of guns. read more

Happened to find this gem on my way to H&M and it was so much fun! The smaller targets were harder to get and still a fun experience overall! I even saw little kids there with their parents so it seems family friendly. Great helpful staff and fun options for prizes! 10/10 would go back again! read more

This is a great place. If you don't know how to shoot don't get mad for losing. Loved it wine a great prize for my kid and had fun showing off. Other people came after thought it was easy to shoot. It's not a video game. There is more to it then pulling a trigger. Great place to plink. read more

Carnival vibes! I've been coming here for a few months now everytime I go to the mall. The place offers a firing range with six targets. Three of the targets are somewhat big and three smaller targets. I always get six games just for the fun of it. This place makes me feel like I'm in the LA or OC county without being there. I almost never found anything wrong with this place until today when one of the staff members looked a bit annoyed. I ignored it and just finished playing my game. Overall, I give this place a 4.1/5. I bought an airsoft pistol a couple days ago and right when I just tried it out the bb rounds would not shoot and the rounds would get stuck in the gun and would not come out unless shaking it and the worker there was giving attitude and being rude when I had a question would not recommend to go here to buy airsoft guns. read more

when i tell ya you will have fun i mean it, this place is amazing you get to choose the gun you want to shoot then you try to hit all the 6 targets its a bit challenging but me and my father combined won twice they gave us free key chains and they have a mini shop for airsoft guns (looking to purchase one soon) it was a over all fun time read more

They have a really nice staff and a good deal going on where you pay $20 for 6 games. Me and my friend got to split the 6 games and we had fun for a good 15 minutes. We didn't win anything but they also gave us a free gift. Definitely would go back whenever I'm at the mall. read more
