Day 1- Trash was not removed from exterior of guest house. Upstairs patio and chairs at guest house stained with bird dropping and smashed cherries, as were the downstairs outside couches. Called ITrip operations who sent the groundskeeper to resolve issue. He never did wash down the patio. Same night, we wanted to enjoy our dinner to experience the beautiful weather. We were unable to remove the layers of dirt on the patio dining table at Manor and had to eat dinner inside. Day 2- We noticed outside chairs at Manor were dirty and did not sit on it, as were the chairs around fire pit. Called ITrip operations again to tell first tell them Day 1 patio cleaning was not properly done, and that my HUSBAND washed and scrubbed it himself. Then proceeded to tell them about newly noticed issues. Operations sent someone in a timely manner. He was the plumber, Victor who scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed...did an AMAZING job!!! Also told him our a/c was warm and not working properly. He tried to resolve, and advised if not cooled by Day 3 to call management._ Day 3- After sleeping 2 nights in warm stuffy condition, had to call management again to notify....they could not promise someone could come out. After waiting a few hours it was evident a/c was not working and sent text message that conditions warranted an emergency service call. An a/c expert arrived shortly thereafter and confirmed major issue with a/c system in guest house. He managed to get it cool enough for us to enjoy sleeping. Day 4- Finally all issues resolved the day before we were to check out. _ Check out day- Post wedding celebration, we requested a late check out but no response. We quickly packed up so as to not get charged. House cleaners arrived as the last of us were about ready to leave. We told her everything except a/c issue in guest house. She confirmed it ALL should have been completed prior to our arrival, and that we could have had a late check out since no one was scheduled to arrive in a couple of days. Moreover and probably the most concerning was an undisclosed RV above the property was being occupied by groundskeepers who had codes to access the homes. Terrifying if all females stayed at the property. Exterior night lighting around grounds insufficient, making it dangerous. The amount of money we paid to stay was overpriced for the non-privacy and condition it was delivered in. Above all else, interior of both homes were very clean, the beds were comfortable, bathroom amenities excellent, expansive outside space and private lake was enjoyable. Response time and maintenance resolution by ITrips operations was impressive, however, I'm still waiting for the property manager to call me, it's been 7 days Might recommend to others with but with caveats.

We were greeted at the desk by Ryan with a glass of their sister winery's rose and then proceeded on a tour of the inn. It is a small boutique inn with only about 18 rooms total. I believe while we were there, there may have been maybe 4-5 other couples (that we only saw at breakfast). It is just a lovely place with a sitting room with a huge fireplace, a quaint breakfast room, and several patio areas with fire pits overlooking the valley. One firepit stays on all the time (already I was excited to "need" a firepit in August!). Ryan then walked us across the entryway to a separate smaller building and into our room which was the Deluxe Valley View room...with glass doors that opened directly onto a sweet little patio with adirondack chairs and table overlooking the vineyard. We spent every morning here drinking tea before breakfast and most evenings here drinking wine before bed. And speaking of breakfast! Every morning was a treat...several options you can choose from, mix and match your pastry with your fresh fruit with your main dish with your beverage with your coffee, all a great way to bellywad before a day of wine tastings! Do yourself a favor and get the SCONE every morning! I discovered that sadly on my last day :( All of the staff were super sweet and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy! I had the pleasure of staying here this past weekend for a wedding, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this place operates on a different level. The attention to detail across the property is remarkable -- the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the food was absolutely outstanding. But what truly elevated our stay was the people. Great hotels have great amenities; extraordinary hotels have extraordinary staff. Andy at the concierge desk was the definition of going above and beyond. He anticipated our needs, took care of every detail, and made us feel like we were the only guests in the building. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare, and it's exactly what transforms a stay into an experience. They warn everyone that there is a pretty steep 12 degree grade/incline on the entry road so anyone pulling an RV use caution. But once up there, the setting is gorgeously wooded & rustic. It's very tranquil...it feels like a retreat! The resort doesn't have hotels/rooms/cabins (called "bunkies" in the NW) for rent. They recently did get an RV they rent out and may get more options in the future. There are several areas to tent (no elec or water) and plentiful RV spots. We were lucky that we were friends with a member and were invited to stay at her place. It felt like we were sleeping in a tree house the way it was nestled into the mountain. The resort has a clean large pool, an indoor hot tub, sauna, sports court, rec hall, and a gaming room with ping pong and billiards pool tables. People were reading and relaxing in the outside common areas, scattered between the shaded tree-lined perimeter and the colorful gardens. Bathrooms and shower areas were large & clean. There was a laundry area but we didn't notice a common kitchen area for guest use like the other resorts we've been to so far. They did have a few snacks & ice cream for sale, as well as a little "merch" area. The crown jewel of this resort is their trails! They have many volunteers who maintain them. They are very proud of them...as they should be. The entire resort is run via a co-op of volunteers, and most work gets done by the members. The "host" (front desk guy) was very helpful. We arrived the day of their annual board meeting so we felt lucky to meet so many of the "movers & shakers" there - especially a few of the board members! The day included a small local band & a BBQ dinner. The newly renovated rec hall made for a great place for the dinner & social area. We made new friends who invited us for drinks & dessert (and fabulous conversation) that night. It was a great day. MSR is trying to amp up their marketing & activities to boost interest and memberships. A newer event, Sports Fest, had concluded a couple weeks before we arrived & was a huge success. It offered something for everyone - from pickleball clinics & tourneys to a fun poker run through the woods. Bummed we missed it but it'll be an annual event. Check it out if you're on this side of the country next July! They used to have a Trail Run challenge up the mountain side & are discussing bringing it back. A few other things to know: *It's clothing optional except in the pool & hot tub. Most everyone was nude while we were there. *There is a strict no photo policy (stickers are provided/required over your phone cameras). We did get permission from leadership to take these photos and help spread the word about this beautiful resort. *Rates are affordable. *No cell phone service there but WiFi worked well. The resort's motto is "Just Wear A Smile". This & other cute signs were posted to help encourage nudity. It is a good deal colder, especially in the evenings, than FL where we are from so of course there's a bit more leeway (and necessity) regarding clothes. We loved the vibe & the people at MSR & will definitely be back!

You are only a short walk from restaurants and the beach. It is not a fancy place, but the open balcony to sit outside and listen to the waves while smelling the fresh air is worth it. I really appreciated the kind gesture of putting a birthday card and local chocolates on the bed (it made me feel truly special, thank you!). The French Press and coffee grounds were such a nice touch! Bed and pillows were comfy. Sitting outside on the balcony to watch the waves was enjoyable. Down below our balcony are cozy fire pits with chairs. The chairs were occupied most of the time, so we didn't sit by the fire... but we had our dogs with us too. TV was good, just wish it was bigger. Room was clean. Breakfast was subpar. The area to serve yourself and eat felt crowded as well. The shower in our room had good water pressure but the shower drain was clogged which causes it to pool up anytime we used it. Sink was fine. Screen door had a hole near the handle. Rooms felt closer than I would like. Hallway to get to room felt narrow. I believe we had two different neighbors across the hall during our stay. The second set of guests (both adults and children) were not very considerate with noise, especially during the evening and early morning hours. Of course, this isn't something the Coho can always control, but it did impact the peaceful atmosphere at times. Overall though, the Coho itself was wonderful, and with a little more mindfulness from fellow guests, the experience could be perfect. This is a great option for coastal views. Prices are okay. I would come back here again.

The main issue is that there was an extremely loud, unceasing mechanical noise come from the ducts right outside our room (#72). When I asked reception about changing rooms, I was told that the hotel was completely booked and there was nothing they could do. This didn't leave us with any option but to stay the night. We got very little sleep, not just because of the unrelenting noise ALL NIGHT LONG, but because the mattress was oddly hard and lumpy. My partner who does not have back issues woke up in excruciating pain. Now, one of the nicest parts about this hotel is the oceanfront location. However, even that was ruined for us. Our room led directly out to a grassy area overlooking the sea. We walked out there at dusk to watch the sunset, only since the light was dim, we stepped into a pile of dog shi*t several feet away from the door. That really sums it up - what was supposed to be a brief romantic getaway to the coast turned into a hot, steaming turd. This was hands down the most hellacious hotel stay of my life. If you choose to stay here, good luck - I sincerely hope you have a better experience.

I have been going here for years, but it's my first time for a concert. Heck I didn't even know…read morethey could do a concert. This is more or less on their front lawn off to the side. It actually works out great and scones the stage isn't that big it's big enough. The seating is all GA but they have a VIP section if that's your thing. With the GA seating getting there and securing a spot early is important if you are going to rent their $14 low-back chairs. If you bring your beach towel, then showing up later is fine because you can just slip In anywhere there is a small spot. I showed up one hour after gates opened with my beach towel and was like 30 feet from the stage. Pro tip: Don't bother renting a chair if you are going to sit up close to the stage. Once the concert begins everyone stands up for the entire concert anyways. If you are sitting further back then chair rental makes sense, especially because the ground is not soft and uneven in several places. The other thing I noticed is that they did allow those bleacher seats that are cushioned and have a back to them. I dislike their policy on no blankets or bringing your own lowback chairs but I think I I can understand why. People were abusing the policy. I can personally tell you I use to see people use their chairs as a place in line that they drop off in the morning and come back to just before gates open. Kinda unfair, but also people that brought huge blankets to hold off large spaces in front of the stage for their friends and family that showed up later. I was surprised at the sound quality which was pretty good for an outdoor venue. But then I was 30 ft back from the stage. Not sure how it is further back. The other thing is if it's a cold night, bundle up as you can't bring any blankets anyways. They do make you measure your towel to make sure it doesn't exceed the size limit and if it does your only choice is to check it in at the gate or return it back to your car. About the rest of the property. It is a unique like several mcnenamins properties in that they rehab'ed and restored historic buildings into a cool venue for eating and drinking and even lodging. I love that about mcmenamins. Grand Lodge is no exception. A beautiful property way out in Forest Grove. They offer lodging, dining, a movie theater, and music. There is a little spa area too. Parking is usually not an issue and I have stayed overnight before and it's been a great experience. However, the food and beers are honestly good but not great. It's the same way across most of the Mcmenamins. Sure there is better food and better beer but you don't get a cool setting like this. Yes, you come for the setting and that's what makes it worthwhile.
