The barman was able to offer advice when choosing, so helped me decide on what was best for my taste. So it was perfect. There is a pool table at the front of the bar, which my friend and I had a play at, which was quite cool, you don't often get a pool table in a nice bar and people generally had one game and sat down, nobody hogged the table. I will definitely be returning and it was a great result to discover this place on my first visit to the area.

I like the lighting here - not bright lights but calm, relaxed coloured lights. I read that they specifically designed the bar to be more environmentally friendly and so they use lights which produce very little heat and so air conditioning isn't needed; reducing their energy use. Good for them! The crowd is laid back and a bit rough n ready. More the bear end of the spectrum and not much pretention here, which makes it a good place to go to. It can get pretty packed on Friday/Saturday nights, which means plenty of fun and energy to be had.

I live nearby and have been here a fair number of times…read more It's basically a pre-clubbing bar. During the week it's fairly quiet, the atmosphere's a bit dreary. It livens up on Thu-Sat nights. On a recent Fri night visit entry was £4, for that there was no entertainment other than loud dance music. The main bar is at the front (opposite MI6, next to Area), there's a dance area out the back (ie. Goding St side of arch) along with a seating area upstairs that overlooks the dancefloor. The staff usually return your change on a tray. I'm not one to tip bar staff unless the service is very good (the minimum being a brief friendly conversation) so haven't tipped here. Recently I've been short changed here on more than one visit so am now more careful to check my change. Not sure if that's because I've not tipped with previous drinks. Worth watching out for that. I've always found their Soho bar more friendly (and I've not been shortchanged there!)

We got off at the nearest tube stop after finding the Bulls Head listed as a unique pub on www.fancyapint.com. Once we got off the tube we started walking in the general direction of the bridges/river. We wandered through residential areas and finally cut through the worlds smallest alley/pathway towards the river. We curiously ended up at the front doors of two adjacent houses. We passed through the gate noted to take us to the river, a by luck, there was the Bulls Head to the left! This is the only way to find this place. Once inside, this is a treasure on a rainy day - watching the trains on the bridge or rowers on the water. i can imagine it's a sweet spot on a sunny day too to sit outside riverside. check this place out!

I'm a huge fan of vodka mojitos, so the Twisted Mojito was next. HOLD YOUR TEXT MESSAGES; this is the best mojito I have had in a long time!! (and I drink a lot of Mojitos!). I had with me an egg that I had stolen from Pizza Express. Yes a hen's egg. I vowed to love, nurture and cherish this gift of life, insisting it would one day hatch. The egg was a talking point with friendly punters and sadly as I placed her on the bar to photograph her, she rolled off, smashing beneath my platforms. The manager quickly came to the floors aid and scooped up the mess, with me saying "who would bring an egg to a lovely place like this?" in his ear hole. Ahem. We got served quickly, even though the bar area is tiny and were produced with a fantastic passion fruit cocktail with a shot of expensive champagne. Later I had a shot of tequila and an 80's Pina Colada which I have to say was the best I'd ever had. Even after real ones in Cuba. The only good thing i can say about this is there access to colouring activities and i enjoyed the pepsi with a beautiful hint of lime that so gracefully blessed my drink.
