Previously, I went to a certified therapeutic masseuse who charged $180 for an hour to help with my frozen shoulder. Then I found Emily, a masseuse at Fowler and Herndon. Not only does she charge half as much, she has helped twice as much. I like the firm deep tissue massage she does to perfection. I now go to Emily once a week and she has increased my range of motion in the right shoulder back to normal. I can't recommend her strongly enough. The shop is always clean and pleasant, the people are welcoming. Alvin, the manager helps with the language barrier to make sure I get assigned to Emily each week and all is good! read more

My husband and I came in for the first time last week. I am heavily pregnant, about 8 months, and was surprised they offered a prenatal massage. We both got 60 minutes and both agree that this place offers great services. To the reviews that complain about tips, there is a sign that tells you tips are required. The language barrier can be hard to work around though. I will come again to try out their foot spa next time as my friends have said it left their skin feeling baby smooth. read more

Worst visit I've ever had. I've been coming to this place for 10 years and usually the customer service isn't good. This time was terrible. I even had a stamp card which would've been my last stamp and then a free massage but instead they took my card and ripped it up and said that the card was expired. I thought that was very weird as I asked for an explanation. They just said card expired and threw it in the trash, utterly rude never been treated like that before aimee did my massage. if I could give zero stars I would. this place left me worse off then when I was going in. they are super rough even when you tell them that they need to stop. they need to be sued and closed down because I'm not even sure the massage therapist knows what he is doing besides hurting people. I went in for a foot massage and the guy was horrible: he didn't massage at all. Instead he was poking on my shoulders and arms. When he got to my feet he rubbed not massages my top of my feet. When he felt a knot he went to my legs and poked and poked. At the end he took my leg and pulled each on separately, it was so hard that he threw my lower back out and my hip and back are in severe pain. This guy should not being giving massages. Horrible experience and now I need to get my back adjusted. He never actually massaged my feet on poking and hurting.i have to give a 1 or it would be a zero. read more

Friday I came in for a 60 minute Swedish massage with my friend. We got the "Oil" option which I think was an additional $10 but that doesn't bother me. It was $70 per person. They ask if you want 1, 2 or 3. I opted for the 3 option and OH man was it a good massage! My friend actually had bruising down his spine but that's not my massage to comment on. I had a great experience here! Walked in and waited only 5 minutes for the best 40 minutes of my week. I'm not sure who did my massage but he did amazing. Perfect amount of pressure and I felt great afterwards. I'm not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. The inside of the place isn't fancy by any means, and it was a little odd for the workers to ask for a cash tip, but the massage was so cheap and amazing I didn't mind. I always enjoy my time at 555 Relaxing Station. I have been a customer for years. The establishment is well run with experienced staff and the owner always seems to be there to keep all customers happy. My thoughts when I go to get a massage is that I will receive what I need. Seems like the massage therapist know exactly where to work to relieve me of my body pain. I'm glad that they brought back the frequent user cards. Good massage, great price. I got the 20 minute chair massage with an intensity level of 2. A few pieces of advice: 1) The intensity scale is from 1-3. For the love of God, don't pick 3. I had a large knot under my right shoulder blade and the '2 - level' worked it out well, though there were times that I thought I may have made a mistake and almost tapped out for a 1. 2) Yelp confirms that they accept credit cards, which is accurate, kind of. CC payments are accepted for the massage but tips are cash only. Glad I had some cash on me to tip with as I wasn't aware that I couldn't leave a tip on my card. 3) There was only one employee that spoke English. Wasn't an issue for me at all but being aware of points 1 and 2 ahead of your visit will help keep things simple in the event there is any confusion since there is a language barrier. The reviews are helpful and all true.. I have had good massages here, but tips are demanded. I was told to add the total amount to my card after I told them that I didn't have cash. The professionalism is definitely lacking here and I would strongly recommend against a female ever having a full body massage at this location. My sister, niece and I. All came for a massages. We were impressed with your services at all. The guy I got was not actually massaging at all, it felt more like a rub down. He would skip over the parts of my body that had tension. Was very aggressively moving me. It was not a relaxing or enjoyable experience at all. My sister was done with her massage first. So she paid for all of us then went to the car to wait for me. When I went up there, they told me my sister hadn't tipped at all so I gave all three of the people who services us a tip. When I gave the tip the guy looked annoyed it wasn't more money. When I got to the car my sister told me that she actually did tip. I'm not sure I I'll be going back. I was here after Thanksgiving and absolutely benefited from the experience. My friend's mom took her, me, and her bro here after lunch and it was an hour of blissful relaxation. That being said if you're expecting Swedish massage you will be sorely (no pun intended) disappointed. Chinese massage techniques involve pressure points, head massage, and hand and foot massage. We each had the combo of 30 min out front and 30 min table massage in the back area. Other people have mentioned a man who burps during the massage - so I will say the guy who did my massage had just eaten lunch and I could smell the food during my massage - but he didn't burp, so I'm guessing it was just saturated in his clothes. They could benefit from all wearing a type of uniform and change before and after eating smelly foods. However, you can't really be upset with a decent hour of massage for under $25!! They shouldn't have to tell you to bring cash for tips since that is pretty standard for any spa services you get anywhere, but I can understand how it is jarring when they bring it up. Culturally, I know they are just blunt about it, but it rubs people the wrong way. I was so relaxed on the table I fell asleep a couple of times. The amount of pressure exerted by the masseuse was just right. People often make the mistake of not telling their masseuse if they want more or less pressure and then are upset after the massage because they wished it were different. I, too, have been afraid to speak up in the past. This time the guy asked a couple of times if the pressure was good. I have been looking forward to going back there since November! I wanted a full body with hot oil massage for 45 minutes- I set my timer for 40 min the second I laid down and she began - she walked out of the room After only touching my back - not my whole body at all ! Didn't even touch my feet , face , head , nothing . Anyways she walked out and I looked at my alarm and there was still 10 min left ! So I alerted them And the man that is the only one able to communicate somewhat told me "ok 30 min then " so I assumed he would charge me for the 30 min price , lol he took 2 dollars off of my total !
