After my very raw broccoli and kale salad I contrasted it with the brownie milkshake. I was in a sugar coma all day after that but it was so yummy.

Nature's Bounty panini

I was so eager to visit after I'd seen food teased on Instagram for weeks before the restaurant opened. I was excited to try one of their famous shakes and I must say that they do not disappoint! I've visited 50sixone four times now. I always get something new to try and I've never been disappointed. Even with the queue for seats, the staff have always been extremely friendly and have made for a great atmosphere. I'd recommend the Pretzels for President shake and the Nature's Bounty panini!

50-SIXONE Dessert Bar & Kitchen, King William Street Hyde Park. 50SIXONE is Hyde Parks post code. On opening (July, 2016)This extremely popular Dessert Bar, Kitchen (licensed) had some 4,000-odd followers on Facebook and a further 2,000 on Instagram. With a line of customers stretching a hundred metres down King William Road, that line was still there at 10pm closing time. It is now Dec mid afternoon and there is still a line of customers lined up to get in. When you look around the area Cafe/ Restaurants are plentiful, but this Dessert Bar, Kitchen, is a stand out. The range of deserts is amazing. Check out menu on Google Eg, High School Sweetheart, a classic crispy French fries served with melted chocolate and vanilla ice cream etc. we enjoyed a very good breakfast, with a boutique blend coffee. The service could not be faulted, a good experience.

Red velvet pancakes
Tp N.

Came here with my partner to see what the hype was about. I ordered the red velvet pancakes and he had the oreo shake. I'm not a fan of oreos, so I can't really comment they were bad because that would be bias. But the donut that came with it was really good! And as for my pancakes, I liked them ! It was about $40 for both our orders. Quite pricey !

Went there for the third times. Food and desserts are amazing. But a little pricy. We ordered the Nutella pancakes (great portion) to share, very nice and we wanted more. Their Ferrero rocher's latte was very good!

It was nice when opened but you need to update information. This chain is permanently closed and out of business.

I think this is the best gelato/ice cream shop in Adelaide. They have 48 flavors as the store name…read moresays and it takes forever to decide what I want. My absolute favorite is black sesame. If you like Asian taste in your ice cream, you cannot go wrong with sesame. Lychee is refreshing, and caramel fig and rum raisin are also my favorite as I can taste a little of pick me up (wink wink). My sister's favorite is gorgonzola pear and fig but we were told it is only seasonal as they want to keep their ingredients authentic as possible. The Asian male staff was very helpful and he even mixed flavors for us to try something new and creative! Highly recommended.

Not that anything is wrong with Gelatissimo but damn 48 Flavors had me really impressed. Because they have flavours that other icecream places do not have. Actually, for me it's just 3 flavours in particular. Durian, Taro and Black Sesame. With durian, it's probably one of the most divisive foods I can think of. People either absolutely love it or hate it. It has a custard-like texture with a rich creamy quality. However the people who absolutely despise it will point out it's pungent aroma, and pungent it putting it very politely. Basically it smells like rotting fruit mixed with other things. It's considered the Kind of Fruits in SE Asia and it's definitely one of my favourites. I wasn't going to get anything...until I saw the sign saying 'Durian Icecream- Tasting Available.' I think my eyes widened a bit and I immediately went to buy a scoop. I tasted before buying and then changed my mind to 2 scoops!! It's that good. The icecream's flavour 100% matches that of ripe durian, and I was kicking myself that it took me so long to discover it. I'm definitely coming back to try a few more flavours, and to get the durian a few more times. However I may need to sit a bit further away from my friends, because they kept pointing out the smell!

I didn't notice…read moretoo much sweetness at all, as I was too busy reveling in the delicious chocolate mudcake ice cream, with a generous scoop of cappucino icecream on top. Oh. Yes. Ohyesohyes. Ice cream and the beach are inextricably mixed. You can't be near a beach without icecream. I don't care if I'm wandering up and down the street, chasing seagulls on the shore front, or sitting on a nice patch of grass in the median strip - icecream makes the Semaphore experience perfect. Especially chocolate mudcake icecream. And I always love supporting a local and long standing business. I have nothing against Copenhagen across the road (I have nothing against anywhere that provides me with ice cream!), but this place will always get my business.

Well for me that shore was Semaphore and that Ice Cream shop was Take 2 Ice Creamery. I am not sure if it is the same name as the shop we used to go to countless seasons ago, but it definitely served the same Ice Cream. There really is something nostalgic about Golden North, especially the Honey flavour and I mean this in a completely non-sexual way.....well, mostly. I was Yelping down Semaphore Road just last week and had to partake in a cone. They have competition now, with Royal Copenhagen just across the road, but for the purists like me the choice is easy!
