Select your poison from 3 different single origins for your coffee, but know that none of them are as good as their Indian Tiger Mountain. The teas also are from some local field or something, but really you're not coming all this way for some flavoured water. Sit down amongst a mash up of big communal and group tables, worn couches, bench seats or up at the piano if you fancy and watch as every mother's group, young family, hipster on their bike and local wander in like zombies looking for their coffee fix of the day. Service is punctual and friendly and soon we receive our breakfasts that I had to double check the prices of because they were so big. $17 for a big breakfast and $15 for haloumi, avo and poached eggs is ridicurous. So was the actual breakfast. Perfectly cooked, gooey poached eggs atop a crunchy white piece of toast with a simple haloumi and rocket salad made for a happy Chloe. Unpretentious on every level, simple meals and smashing coffee make this place as mysterious and hidden as an Indian Tiger Mountain. Get along before it becomes endangered and overrun with hipsters.

The Menu has a good range of breakfast and light lunch options and vegetarians will find themselves relatively well looked after. I'm a big fan of their pancakes (which are really pikelets) as they are very generous on the portion sizes as well as topping options. The coffee here is a wee bit bitter for my own liking but their lattes are crazy creamy. The Litttle Leaf also mixes their own tea blends you can buy in store, whilst I'm not a tea drinker myself, friends have assured me it is top notch. The Leaf 'n' Bean also puts on regular events with live music, exhibitions and dessert nights on their cards.
