After 14 years and water damage from the December 26, 2016 tornado that hit OVilla we researched and decided to go with 50 floors and from the sales representative, installers and customer service reps we recommend them highly. The carpet (Egyptian sand) on the stairs and the bamboo for an upstairs TV room floor look great. I had a WONDERFUL experience with 50 floors! They did all the carpet in our 4 bedrooms & our stairs...and six months later, we didn't feel the master bedroom carpet was wearing like it should be...so they came out today and replaced it with better carpet...completely FREE! I am super impressed with the superior customer service of Ron Squiers, the General Manager of 50 floors and I'm grateful they care enough about their customers to take good care of them when there is a problem. Not everything "could" be fixed, but he made sure the offer was there, and offered to compensate me for what could not be repaired. My husband and used your company to put in engineered hardwood floor and new carpet in the downstairs of our house in February 2016. In June 2016 we noticed discolored boards in two spots in our house. I emailed your company through your website to report the problem. On June 14th I got a call from you call center in Atlanta, GA. She asked for pictures of the damaged and assured me my problem was being worked on with the manufacturer. We traded voicemails on June 15th, 16th and 17th and each time was told the problem was being worked on. On June 21st I received a call from Rebecca in your Grand Prairie, TX office. She told me she was taking over from the corporate office I had been dealing with in Atlanta. We then proceeded to start from scratch. It was obvious nothing was done by your corporate office to resolve this issue. There was a marked change tone and willingness to solve the issue once the issue was transferred back to your local office. From the beginning Rebecca was combative and adopted a posture of "this was your fault the floors are damaged." I provided her pictures and was told this was clearly moisture damage. When I informed her that we have not had any water leaks or spills she stayed we must be over cleaning the floor. We clean the floor lightly every two weeks with Bona, as recommended by 50 floor and the manufacturer. I was told by her she would send her head service rep out to look at it in person. I was told he would be at my home between 9-10am on 06/28/2016. I rearranged my work schedule to make sure I was home for the inspection. The time came and went on 06/28/2016 and no one showed and I was never called. At 10:15 I called the Grand Prairie, TX office and spoke with a gentleman. I was told that the service rep was not available to make any calls that day. I was never called and told he wasn't coming. At 10:41am I was called by Rebecca asking when I could reschedule. No apology for me being stood up. She told me she would setup an installer to come out on July 2 to look at the damage and make an assessment. Your installer came out and looked at the damage at 8am on July 2nd. He told me the wood should not be having these problems only after 5 months, it was not from over cleaning and most likely bad finish on the wood, a manufacturer defect. He said your Grand Prairie office would call me to setup a repair. He took pictures of the damage. After hearing nothing from your office in Grand Prarie, I called at 8:07am in July 15th. I was told Rebecca wasn't yet but I could leave her a voicemail. At 11:50 I hadn't received a call back from her so I called again and I left her another voicemail. At 1:45pm with still no call back from her I called her again and actually spoke with her. She said she thought my floor had only been looked at on 07/12 not 07/02. After arguing with her about the date of inspection, I tried to tell her what the installer told me but before I could say anything she started I again on how we need to pay for this. We were over cleaning the floors and caused the damage. I told her no we weren't. Then she told me our pets must have cause this because the this was clearly moisture damage. I told her any accidents our pets had were in a different spot on the floor and that part of the floor looked brand new still. She kept arguing with me about how this was my fault the floors were damaged. I told her to stop arguing with me, I was sick of being blamed when she hadn't even been in my house. I told her what the installer told me, then she told me he left no notes on the paperwork. She said she would talk to the installer and order more wood so we can work on vendor claim. Then she called me to say she will order the wood today after she verified with the installer. The real question is why did it take so long? I don't trust her or your company and now I feel compelled to check in daily for a status on the order just to make sure. Even though I don't really have time and most importantly, I shouldn't have to. Mean while, it's been a month. A month and I am no closer to fixing this issue than I was back in June. At every turn 50 Floor has provided horrible service and done everything possible to blame myself and my wife for this. We paid almost 14k for our floors. We paid cash. If I did something to damage the floors I would just pay for it. I am not trying to scam your company. It's the fact I have cared for the floors as instructed and they are damaged after 5 months of ownership, someone made a mistake that caused this and it wasn't me. It's the fact that no one at your company seems to care. Your reps either ignore or argue with me. I am now 8 months pregnant and need this fixed before our child comes, which I doubt will happen. read more

This company overestimated the square footage of carpet I needed with waste by over 400 sq ft! Multiply 400 sq ft by the price they charge to see how much I would have overpaid. Being off by that much isn't a mistake, it's a way to make you overpay for material you don't need. Do your own homework before you blindly trust and go with this company. read more

The customer service here is wonderful. After hearing from the manager, the team came back to address our concerns and fixed most of them (as with squeaks there's only so much that can be done). I would NEVER recommend 50 floor to anyone! this company is a complete joke and has done nothing to help with the issues we have had with the crap flooring the sales rep sold us on! they have lied and told us this flooring is going to last a life time and let me tell you they are the worst flooring ever! i have delamaitation and major dents in the floor now they have yet to communicate with me about these multiple issues. the mullican flooring is the worst product being sold on the market, everywhere online the other reviews you read are identical to my problems, unfortunately i didn't read the reviews before because i had put too much trust in my sales rep and just went with it because i loved everything she was telling me about it. i was completely screwed! the WORST customer service and the WORST product by far. Due to major foundation work we must replace our existing tile floors with either tile or wood. What a Horrible experience with the initial presentation. I was looking so forward to having a pro help us and this salesperson, John, just ruined the entire process. The salesmans appearance made us uncomfortable; looked like he just woke up for our 3:00 appt, wrinkled, baggy, old jeans, wet hair & just seemed like he did not want to be here. He walked through house then went to his car & came back 1 board "the Rolls Royce" was what we needed he said. Then quotes us 20k for 865 sq feet of work. We asked to see other products & he returns with 2 other boards that looked cheap. He said, "Well, you fall in love with the Rolls you won't like the Mustang." I have a Mustang GT & I will take my Mustang any day over a Rolls. He went on to say if we use someone else they cannot compete with their workmanship, good luck with all that." I could not wait for him to leave. We have come to discover he lied about several things he told us. He said we could not do tile because we cannot have tile for 6 months, to allow the concrete to cure - everyone else said 3-5 days. He said they don't keep inventory of any products because it goes bad unless it's purchased new from manufacture - almost everyone else keeps some inventory and facts exist according to manufactures. For our situation, I found them to be less than helpful. Since we are buying a house and will have to get some updates done prior to moving in, we must have bids and contractors lined up in advance. From our close date to "have to be out of our rental" date, is about 2 weeks. I called 50 Floor asking for their lowest to highest on materials and labor, and I was told they can't give me that information. Really??? No one can tell me what their prices are? For this reason, we cannot do business with them. Which leads me to not refer them to anyone either. If they are that unwilling to be helpful Before the sale, where will they be After the sale if needed. Happy to report that owner of Dallas shop personally called twice, made an appointment to come out to my home to show me samples of wood floors (which I originally asked for), then called and confirmed twice an appointment, and showed up on time to show me excellent floor samples that were just what I wanted and truly wished I had known I had these options in the first place. The originally salesman was pushy, wanted to sell that crazy carpet, but the owner is making it right. He is one of the nicest and most professional business owners I've ever met, dedicated to the customer's complete satisfaction, and quite knowledgeable about the various products and trends. We were looking to get a little over 1000 sq feet of carpet replaced with either vinyl or laminate after tornado damage. We had a pretty quick response to our online request. We were hopeful. When the guy got here he showed us some really nice options and after about an hour of listening to him tell us how good they are and American they were, we finally got an estimate . Wow. This was with their 60% off "supplies" and $100 off coupon--still came in at about $10-12k (and this was their midrange flooring). When we told the guy this was just way out of our budget, he proceeded to tell us that if we use anyone else our floors will look bad. And they won't do it right or use the right material. I took pics of the flooring he showed us and found it for aboit $3.50/sq foot. I understand labor costs, but wow. We found another company that is local and will do the exact SAME floor for about $5k. I've officially learned my lesson, stay local, they do a perfect job with same EXACT products, with no pressure tactics. In the end, we all but threw the salesman's materials out the door before he finally got out of house. Learn to take no for an answer. read more

The installation crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job installing our wood floor. They also cut and installed new base molding.

It would not let me leave 0 stars..... I have never written a review that wasn't positive, but this company has made me change my mind...Do NOT use these guys, really...I have gone thru months of no living room area and weeks with sleeping in our guest bedroom. Over 3 months ago 50 Floor sales rep came to my home and promised me extending my open hallway into my great room would not be a problem, "it will match to where no one can tell the difference". NOT THE CASE! I wish I could post the pics I took so you all could see. I kept asking the finisher when he was there, can you put another coat of stain to make it darker? is it going to get darker?; he kept saying you can only do one coat and yes mam, it will get darker when it dries. And big surprise, it did not! The worse was when I called, they argued with me and didn't stand by their sales reps promise. I had to come up with a solution and demand someone come back out to redo the floors. They kept saying they couldn't match it up, so I asked if they re-sanded the hallway and the great room, re-stained it all so it could match. They agreed, but charged me another $400 (for sanding the hallway) on top of the thousands I already gave them. When the finisher showed up to redo the floors, he said he was just going to do open hallway...I went nuts! Made phone calls, argued again, and finally got them to agree. Then their sanding machine broke down. When it was fixed, they had other customers committed, so I had to go in the back of the line. Three weeks later they made it back. The stains he had were not matching. I bought my own stain at big box store and we worked on the mixture to get the color to match. He stained and again he refused to give it a second coat of stain, he did the polly and left before it was dry. The next day it was gritty, like sandpaper, there were blobs of polly in spots and the worse is they used semi-gloss finish instead of matt finish. So again on the phone. No argument this time, reschedule another appointment (BTW..we still don't have a living area all of these months or a kitchen/dining room area, that's where I stored my living room furniture!). They just came on Monday (with attitude; couldn't get out of there quick enough), the color is close, but would have been better with a second coat of stain. Oh and there are still parts on the polly that are thicker than others, no grit, but I have an area rug and over time I am sure it will wear evenly. The bottom line is $5,800 later I have a floor that I will just have to live with. Maybe 50 Floor should spend less money on advertising and more money on hiring educated tradesman and sales reps. NEVER, EVER USE THESE GUYS!!!! read more

I told them what I was looking for and they said they could handle that so I set up the appointment for the estimate. I took off work to meet the the rep at my house. Absolutely worst flooring company around. Company has failed miserably to fulfill their promises and product installed is less then Fair to midland. The worst possible decision anyone can make would be to use this company. Their customer service and follow up skills are terrible. It took over 3 weeks to get a call back from Angel Mabley and left multiple messages with the General Manager Shawn Harris in their corporate office. This company promises to keep their customers satisfied and guarantees their products only on paper. In reality they do not even come close to those promises. We used them back in March 2017 and their installers installed the floor crooked and didn't float the floor properly. Now my house has been incomplete for over 2 months. They sent their certified inspector to verify these issues. And these issues were confirmed. Their offer was a discount and for me to sign a waiver and void the warranty. This is unsatisfactory. I did not like the process when the salesman was in my house. He gave me an extremely overrated price and then a "discount" that brought the price down to the same range that I already had gotten from other companies. He also used a sales technique that I had to sign a contract before he left my house to get the best pricing. Once he left, the price went up. I had to discuss and do some comparison, so he left. He went down the street and ate lunch. He did not leave the area and have to make another trip to my part of town since he was still less than one mile away. But he charged me the higher price since I did not sign before he walked out the door. Dealing with the workers was a different story. They put carpet and vinyl floors in my entire house. They worked hard all day through the dust of removing old carpets, etc. They were friendly and efficient and hard working. They moved all of the furniture out of the rooms and closets and did a remarkable job of remembering where everything was to be returned. They spoke English so I was able to communicate with the workers since I do not speak Spanish. I have only a couple of small complaints. One is that they chipped the new paint on a couple of spots on the walls and door frames when they were moving larger pieces of furniture back in to the rooms. Everything had just been painted, so I had touch-up paint and was able to repair the damaged spots easily. The second complaint is that they did not do a great job with the quarter round. Corners and seams are not very neat. I certainly would recommend them to anyone. I would use them again. read more

I had a salesman come to my home last night. He was very pushy. Spent the first 30 or so minutes telling me how terrible all the other floor companies are. The next 10 minutes telling me why I should choose 50 Floors. Then he finally went to his car and brought in some samples for the to look at. I picked out one I liked. He then took the measurements. I asked him if he was going to email me a quote and he said yes. However, I am going to give you a quote right now. I said ok but I would like to have one emailed to me. He never took my email address. He entered some information into his laptop and turned it tome and said this is your retail price. I nearly chocked! Then he said oh this is the retail price I am going to give you a teacher discount a cash price discount and a discount if you choose to have an installation between Tuesday and Friday. I said ok. He then wrote a number down on a piece of paper. I said ok great can you email me a quote with the number on it? He said well I will need for you to agree to the deal tonight or this is not the price. I said I need for you to email me a quote with a price because I am not committing to anything tonight. He then took another piece of paper and wrote two total on it signed it wrote down his phone number and said this is your quote. WOW never took my email address down and never gave me a written detailed quote. I would never recommend this company to anyone. 1-16-2018 3:56 PM the General Manager just reached out to me. do not order from 50 floor. my daughter ordered commercial carpeting for her new building - joe kincheloe promised her the carpet would be installed on 4-28-18. they never showed up - never called her - had no intention of installing her carpeting - she needed the carpet since she had clients showing up the following monday. when called the company - nobody knows anything. all we got for answers was 'installation dept. is closed' . called joe 4 times - no reply - no answer - nothing. i was suppose to get new carpeting thru 50 floor for my house - cancelled order - again - no response, especially from joe, the salesman who gave us estimates. company is useless. do not use. very rude - take your money and give you empty promises. read more

I am very surprised at the good reviews for this company because we had a terrible experience a year ago and it is still one of my most regretful decisions regarding my home. The salesman was pushy and misrepresented the quality of the carpet as well as the quality of the installers which is why I decided to pay the premium price. The "crew" consisted of one carpet installer who didn't speak any English and a shifty man who could have been homeless and seemed to know nothing about laying carpet. He told me the "installer" would pick him up from time to time to help out. No transitions were used between the wood and the carpet or the tile and the carpet. They didn't have a vacuum and clogged and damaged mine trying to clean up. There were nails and staples left all over the house for us to step on and screws that belonged in our king sized bed frame left out so that we had to completely disassemble it and reassemble it properly. They left the house in such a mess that they had to send out a real crew of 5 men the next day to try to clean it up.This crew did put in one carpet transition at our insistence but not the other one, leaving that edge to fray until my husband finally spent an entire day shopping for edging, cutting, priming, painting and installing one himself. The worst part of all of this is that we now need new carpet again (one year later!) in these same rooms because the quality of the carpet is so poor that it looks completely smashed down and older than the carpet we didn't replace which is 8 years old. read more

WARNING: WAY TOO PUSHY! We needed someone out quickly. And because they knew that, I feel we were fully taken advantage of. Our 4 year old just had tonsil surgery and she could see we were really in a bind after our toilet flooded and ruined the carpet. The first quote she gave us was for over $2,000 for 2 small rooms, tiny hallway, and small living area. When we almost fell over, she quoted us a lower grade carpet and started throwing several "discounts" at us, including a discount for us to go on yelp to give a good review. She said this many times! She also told us we were getting a below contractors cost, but the price was a "today only" price - so we weren't able to wait for the other companies coming out the following day to give us quotes. We were feeling VERY pressured. When we decided to go with her quote and use our credit card to put 50% down, she rudely told us that she would only accept check "at that low of a price". At that point we went with our gut and told her we were feeling way too pressured and we no longer felt comfortable doing business with her. THEN after telling her to leave - she came knocking on our front door 10 minutes later and said "oh i felt so bad about the situation, I called my boss and we'll accept the credit card now." NOPE. They obviously wanted our business badly, but after the interaction and "discounts" she kept adding when we still weren't comfortable with the price - and the way she became more and more pushy - My trust in doing business with them quickly went out the door. Ok so i got my hardwood floors installed by 50 floors, the company never call me to ask me if i was satisfied with the crew that come to do the job. Neither call me to start with the installation even though they had already charged my credit card. Called the seller did not pick up , didn't call back either. Call office to find out what was going on and there is when i was able to set up an appointment for my floors. Yeah they finished the installation in 2 days as promised but they didnt ask me if it was ok to stayed until 11pm!! Yeah with a new born baby and a 17 months baby with the noise of their machine you could imagine the nightmare i was dealing with. Anyway, i called their office a week later to ask when are they going to send their crew again to finish with the work on the separation in the bedrooms because no one in their office had call me yet. They didnt know!!! . They finally sent another guy to finish the work but again no calls from the office asking me if everything was alright with the installation. It is like they do not even care. However, they did make sure to run our credit to get the money and send the card before the job was done. Bottom line, i will never ever will hired their services again. First installation wasa no show - not a great impression. Got the flooring done but endcap is comimg loose where hardwoods meet carpet. Called & made an appointment & guess what - no show - they said we were not scheduledn but would be here before 9:30am Sunday & you guessed it -NO SHOW. 50 FLOORS does not call to let you know they're not comimg - just waste our time waiting for NOTHING. Don't let the sales guy fool you, highly overpriced, more than double than you would pay at Lowes even after install. The sales person selling point is that 50 floors has the best installers making it sound like Lowes or other major sellers do not and just contracts it out. I can tell you first hand, 50 floors does the same thing. The initial installers barely could speak English and left pieces of cut wood on the sub floor causing damage to that part of the floor and had to have repairs done already after a month because of careless install and another contract group came out, again poor English. This guy with his broken English begin to argue with me that it was normal and a floating floor is going to have bumps. They finally started the repairs after I would not settle after paying over $5500 and when they pulled up the problem area, they found the 2 pieces of cut wood that was left during the initial install, I asked the guy that's normal right, he just smiled because he knew he had messed up. It does now look great after they fixed a couple of other minor problems I am satisfied with my floors. I was overall happy with my experience until last week I had a follow up call from the local office and they begin to lecture me on having coasters on my furniture so it wouldn't scratch my floor because my warranty is void if not, as if that was the reason the wood chips were left during the install, it seems the contracted repair guys didn't inform them of that....If I could do it all over I would saved about $2000 and would have Lowes or Home Depot install the exact same product, maybe even the same contracters would of done the install. They sale the same brands of wood and laminate too. Oh well lesson learned read more

I had 50 floors remove the Berber carpet in our TV Room and replace it with a Floor Laminate and when the installer shown up to install they did not have all of the material for the job so they sit around waiting for the material to arrive. On the install they buckled the floor covering in the walkway from the new install to the kitchen and it took seven (7) calls to get it repaired and I also mentioned that the 1/4 round that they installed is not cut at a 45 degree angle ant the doorway entrances but again the installer/repairman did not get the complete information on the repair. The repairman called the supervisor and I explained the problem again and made a suggestion instead of removing the quarter round is that they bring a Dremel tool and put a piece of tin or any type of metal between the new floor and the quarter round and to date no one has contacted me to date for this repair. Oh, I forget that the salesman suppose to be here between 1030 and 1230 and he came at 9 am. The floor was installed on or before 9/28/2017 and no I am not satisfied with 50 floors at all. read more

50 Floors should work on their costumer service skills. On the initial visit they said it would take 7-10 business days for some one to call to schedule installation and than about a week to get material and do installation. It took about two weeks and I had to call several times to schedule installation because they did not receive the material. They do not call you back like they say they would after they "check the status of the order", you have to call them. We had about 3000 sq-ft of wood floor to be installed and were told it could be done in one day max two days. It took full 3 days to have it installed. We choose darker tone 3/8 "engineered hard wood floating, click in floors that are recommended for TX due to foundation shifting and heat. I have to tell you it looks nice but it scratches very very very easy and it get dents easily as well. If you have small children and/or pets do not get this type of flooring. Not happy with quality of this floor at all. As far as installation I would give these guys 5 stars. The crew of 4 showed up every morning on time even 10 minutes before they said they would be here. They were very professional and detailed. They leveled floors really good and made sure it has dried before putting wood floors in. one of the areas had some air pockets when you walk on it. I told than to the installer and they removed almost all of the living room area, leveled it again and re did the floor without any complaints. They kept area clean. They took turns taking brakes that way there was always someone working, since we did the whole house. After the job was done Installers made sure to clean everything and made sure we are happy with the results. We have moved all of our furniture so I can"t make any comments on that. read more

50 floor may have good product however dealing with customers is a whole new issue. Starting from General manager to site crew are unprofessional to customers. Not recommending this company to anyone. read more

I have the worst experience w/ 50 floor. The rep told me I'll get new baseboards but just slapped quarter round on top leaving old baseboard dirty, when I confront them they said it can be done but will cost me extra since it's not in the invoice I signed. Yes I did sign thinking that their standard operating procedure to replace new base board, since it didn't mention new quarter round will be place only. Had I seen that written I would immediately question her. I call the big office and left a message so far no response. Make sure everything in writing don't rely on verbal only. read more

Horrible Customer Service followup....Had appt set up for a Monday (mind you this was nearly 3 weeks when the salesman told me it would be 7-10 days) Anyway I ...had a missed call from them on the Friday before (but left no message) so I figure they must have been calling to simply confirm Mondays appt....so Monday comes and I call to check on what time they would be here....you guessed it...they don't have me scheduled for any installation...So I get put over to the original person who set up my appointment and she says "Who told you it would be installed today" to which I reply "You Did"....she then says its noted on my account that I was called on Friday and notified they were still waiting on supplies and it would be Tuesday or Wednesday...so I guess if you miss a call and they leave no message you just use your psychic abilities to determine just how bad this company sucks....to top it off she says she will get right back to me and set up the install....WRONG....3 hours later and I emailed them from there website to complain...at least that got a response and prompted someone to call.....All I have to say is STAY AWAY from 50Floor...One other note I should bring up is the salesman that showed up at my house was nice enough but seriously smelled like he just got done smoking 1/2 pack of cigarettes....One bright spot was the installation guys were good however they thought it was acceptable to blast their Jesus Music while working and they used my hose out front and didn't shut it off all the way...so I got a lovely bunch of ice and they ruined the hose....I did get a call from the Manager at one point who actually left a message and apologized....apologies don't do much for me when I had to miss 2 days of pay instead of 1 because this company just plain sucks and doesn't care. read more
