I have never had a separate charge for diagnostic that was not deducted from final price. (179$. My son was told over the phone it would be 79$. From the moment the technician showed up, it was clear I was dealing with a true professional. He knew exactly what he was doing, worked efficiently, and handled the situation with confidence, which immediately put me at ease. What stood out even more was the level of courtesy and care. The technician was extremely polite and respectful, and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. Since it was cold outside, he actually encouraged me to sit somewhere warm while he worked on my car, which I genuinely appreciated. That kind of thoughtfulness makes a stressful situation so much better. I highly recommend Demi Roadside Assistance for their fast service, professionalism, and genuine concern for their customers. A personal go to from now on. Thank you

I wasn't thinking the next day would be much different, but James arrived to tow my car in record time. He was super polite, got my car on the platform, and we were on our way. He had great conversation the whole ride, which was nice after the night I just had feeling completely stuck. When we arrived at my home, he even went further than he needed to and got my car in my garage. I highly recommend Your Auto Pal as they are extremely friendly and fair (AAA didn't fully cover the miles needed for the tow, so luckily Your Auto Pal wasn't pricey). Also, they do many other things besides towing. I will definitely go there for automotive issues in the future.

I had a pleasant interaction with the tow truck driver. However, I was a bit alarmed when the next day my mechanic called and asked me where the car was. He said he had left the shop for the day and didn't see it there which made me panic a bit. I called the towing company and the person who answered said the driver would call me back. He never did. My sister, who lives closer to the shop, drove over that night and discovered the car way down at the other end of the lot. My mechanic had to push it down to where their shop is the next day. Fast forward to submitting the receipt for reimbursement. My insurance company said they don't often see prices this high. I am right around the corner from where the towing company is located (0.3 miles). I was parked right next to my house on a side street where there were no cars parked in front of me. It is not a dense area. It was not a difficult situation. The tow was 9.1 miles. It was $295. I did not realize at the time, but this is high. For reference, my sister is getting her car towed 30 miles today (similar area of the city, also 4wd similar type of car, but over 3 times as far) and the cost is $360. And this other company has to travel further to get to her. I would recommend calling around because you can certainly do better on pricing (I feel I was taken advantage of) and they failed to follow up on a panic-inducing issue. I was left to locate the car on my own. In the future, they should consider having the driver confirm with a photo (or two) where the car was left.

My car is the same vehicle, parked in the same space and in the same residential parking garage from where they helped me successfully three years ago. Now however, GNG flatly refuses me service. The guy who answered the phone said that he "damaged his truck last time," which he absolutely did not. Also, he said that "you're on the top floor aren't you?" trying vainly to remember the job, which I am not. I'm on a lower level, one story down from street level. I would think that in three years, GNG only would have gotten three years better and more efficient than they already were. Instead, however, it appears that in that short span of time, they've gotten worse at what it is they claim they do with such expertise. Negative and condescending on the phone, the guy sounds like he hates what he does for a living--or perhaps he was just having a bad day. I phoned them with the same result over a month ago, thus why I felt it was probably time to alert consumers. I suppose there's just that much towing in Chicago, that one can cavalierly decline business and revenue on any given Saturday.

Had a great experience with this company…read more I have roadside assistance through my cell phone company and this was the company I got paired with. I've had multiple situations with towing, jumpstarts, busted tires, etc. because apparently my car is a POS (bless her engine). But, none of my experiences are stand out--except for this one, thanks to Manny. Manny communicated consistently about his ETA/ timeline for completing other calls before me. So, I wasn't sitting around waiting outside, and he wasn't sitting around waiting for me either. Once he was able to give an accurate ETA, he showed up exactly when he said he would--literally to the minute. He was also extremely knowledgeable about best practices when having to get your car towed. He warned me about all the towing scams that take place around Chicago and how to avoid them. I had no idea there were so many ways for tow companies to milk money. If you take a look at the reviews for other tow companies, it becomes increasingly apparent how common these scams are. The fact that he was so transparent about red flags for other towing companies makes it clear that GNG does none of that. Everything was streamlined with GNG--you pay with a card and your information is all in the system, so you know they don't do any of the shady money-pocketing scams. The price was great too. After my phone company paid their share, I paid $28 out of pocket, which shows that the initial price must have been very reasonable, because in the past my OOPs have been 2X-3X that. If I have any future car issues (which I definitely will... I mentioned my car is a POS, right?), I'm coming back to GNG. And though I'm sure everyone here is awesome, I'll ask for Manny.
