I needed my serpentine belt replaced, and I also had a screw with a broken head that needed to be removed and replaced. While I was there, I asked if they could take a look at my tire because I was hearing a noise. Turns out, it was a wheel bearing. He even went out of his way to send me a picture of the damaged part so I could see exactly what was wrong. I took it to my regular mechanic and he fix some stuff , the car ran good for about a week and the issue came back . He checked it again and he said that it was probably a transmission problem and that I should probably take it to a specialist, which I did . Took it to a transmission specialist that he recommended and they didn't find anything after a week . Thats when I found PROTRANS on Google . To be honest it was between them and another transmission spot I had google but I choose Protrans because they had way more good reviews . I picked right because the other spot specializes in transmission only and Protrans does it all in house . The issue on my car wasn't easy to fix . Yes there was some issues but Protrans went above and beyond to make it right . They were not giving up on my car and neither was I . Happy car =happy owner . From the start, he was completely honest and explained that while it could turn into something more serious, like a transmission rebuild, there's also a known issue with these cars. Chevy has put out a notice about an updated fluid that has been resolving the problem for many drivers. He made it clear that this was the best-case scenario, but didn't guarantee it, just gave me honest, straightforward information. They performed the transmission fluid service, and it worked perfectly. Problem gone. What really stood out to me is that they could have easily pushed for a much more expensive repair, and I wouldn't have known any better. Instead, they chose honesty and did what was best for me.
