Jake flaked on me. I paid him more than he quoted to do an intermediary fix. Then he never came back to do the big job. I was willing to pay him whatever he asked. Jake's experience, diligence and knowledge make him an incredible plumber. He is always punctual, professional and personable. Over the past 15+ years, whenever we've had a plumbing issue, he is our first call because we know he is trustworthy, more than competent and a genuinely nice person. Today's plumbing issue involved an old fixture which was dripping non-stop. Anyone else would have said it needed to be replaced which would involve construction too. I told Jake we were planning to remodel the bathrooms next year so we were hoping he could repair the fixture for now. He removed it with tremendous care and, because he's worked a lot with Hansgrohe fixtures, he was able to repair it. Jake was referred to us by the Faucet Factory. We had already had 3 plumbers look at our fixtures that were needed to be repaired. As they were under warranty we did not want to replace them, but only the parts that needed to be fixed. The previous plumbers suggested cutting holes in our drywall to access the pipes, ripping out tile and to even replace with all new fixtures. This is hard to believe! Jake came out to take a look at a leaky faucet in my garage. I was shocked at how much it was going to be to fix the faucet but he said he would come out and take a look. He told me exactly what it needed but also said he could cap it so I could have it fixed at a more convenient time. The cap would cost 12.00. I ran upstairs to get a $20.00 bill but he said he didn't have change. While waiting for me, he noticed my bumper sticker and said it was worth the $12.00 and didn't charge me anything. I was really surprised and will be sure to call him the next time I have any plumbing problems. It is hard to find a person who really is interested in helping you out.
