Price: Here is where Cook Out shines. Where else can you get a huge platter like this for around $5. Amazing. Some of the best bang for your buck in the business. Hands down. Atmosphere: Nicer interior than most chain fast food places. Cheap, delicious food quick. Cook Out is cool.

My family and I decided to give them another try. Pros: The service, the burgers, and the tea! The people were incredibly friendly, the tea was delicious with the perfect balance of sweet, and the burger was oozing out delicious melted cheese. Cons: Hush puppies were meh, the fries were floppy and not that great, and they no longer play Christian radio Overall, will do in a pinch for the burger and tea, but the rest I suppose depends on the day. I'm giving a 4 star just because of the service alone.

My girlfriend highly recommended Cook Out, which I never had before as we don't have them in the area I live in MD or even in northern VA as far as I know. Her parents have a home by Smith Mountain Lake. We were down there the week of 4th of July 2024. On the last day, we drove to the Cook Out for lunch so that I could try it. Wow, I was impressed with both the inexpensive prices & good quality burger! This was almost on par with In & Out Burger in terms of the taste, another burger place we sadly DON'T have in my home state, Maryland. The menu is a la carte even to the ingredients on the burger, like lettuce was extra. It took some getting used to, but I kind of liked in that I wasn't paying for stuff I might not have cared for much. Staff was cordial and helpful with my couple of questions. My g/f & I split the 12-piece hash puppies and sweet tea. Hush puppies were delicious and not a normal thing I get in MD due to not many places having it. At fast food burgers I've had in MD, typically fries are the standard side item; so I liked having the hush puppies option. Overall, my experience was excellent with the Rocky Mount Cook Out. Unfortunately, the 3 other locations I went to after (one of which I didn't eat at because they didn't have an open dining room, was pouring rain outside, and didn't want to eat in the car like animals) weren't as good, but I'd definitely try to return to the Rocky Mount, VA location.

So after waiting almost a hour I said I can't wait anymore,no need my money back, as she was saying 5 more mins to me I said I can't wait , so the cook started screaming in his language probably cussing me , then she had the nerve to say if you can't wait for the food don't order it . Situated next to a large convenience store, Cattleman's has a lovely environment, ample parking, and enough seating to cater to a medium sized lunch rush. The finest Comes from local farms, many of which (if not all) are organic. Don't let the idea of this farm-to-Table experience scare you, though, the menu prices are more than reasonable. My husband and I both got cheesesteaks and gave each other the look of "wow, this is good!" After the first bite. The bread is soft and delicious and toasted in a way that does not hurt the roof of your mouth. The beef was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were thrown on kind of arbitrarily - I think I got like two pieces of chopped tomato, and a few peppers, while my husband had a lot more, but it didn't subtract anything from the sandwich. The fries were just okay, but not bad by any means. This place is definitely worth the drive if you're out of town or happen to be in the Penhook area!
