Just Love Coffee in Hermitage is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and sits in the Northlake…read moreVillage shopping complex that is anchored by Kroger. I have loved, no pun intended, Just Love Coffee for years after visiting a location in Atlanta, so when I wandered over to Hermitage this weekend and spotted the sign...I had to stop by before leaving the area! Just Love is more than just coffee, even though that is what I enjoy most about them. They offer a solid variety of coffee and espresso based drinks along with a few teas and refresher style drinks. The cold brew is my go-to and I fancy it up with a few syrups and some almond milk...but any way it is served is tasty. I have enjoyed the Iced Mocha at other locations, so I imagine it is just as tasty here. For food they have a surprisingly stacked menu including breakfast and lunch, with classics to specialty items. You can get a breakfast sandwich to a few breakfast tacos or even biscuits and gravy...and if you are feeling brave, a waffle stuffed with breakfast meats and eggs topped with gravy or syrup...and that is just for breakfast! For lunch they have a few sandwiches, a quesadilla and a wrap all served with a side of chips. They also offer fresh made desserts if the cookies and other baked goods up front are not doing it for you. The space is well laid out and features a large dining area with plenty of tables and even a small bar/counter space in the nook of the front where you can belly up to the counter for a little work, coffee, food or combination of all. During my visit, I was greeted and served by the owners, a pair of sisters who are an absolute delight! While I popped by for a cold brew, I spotted a few bags of coffee beans and had to scoop them up for some home brew. We chatted through their recommendations and I ended up with an espresso blend and an Ethiopian medium roast. The one blend they recommended the most, Costa Rican, was out unfortunately, but that tells me it is a solid bean, so I will have to keep my eyes out for it! Overall, absolutely adore Just Love Coffee and so glad to see them make their way to the Hermitage area. While I do not go that way often, knowing Just Love is there gives me one more reason to spend a little bit more time in the area!

We dined early on a Saturday so it wasn't busy yet. Service was wonderful. Staff told us of their favorites and didn't steer us wrong. You must get the grits! They were delicious! Even with that, we still had a good experience. There was a little mix-up with our food a few people who ordered after us got their meals first, and the table next to us accidentally received our order, so we ended up waiting a bit longer. It was definitely frustrating at the moment, but once our food came out, it made up for it. We had the shrimp and grits along with the steak, eggs, and hashbrowns, and everything was delicious. The sweet cream cold brew was really good, and even though the orange juice was a little small, it still tasted fresh. The atmosphere was nice, and I also liked that they had outdoor seating. Overall, despite the small hiccup, I'd still come back and recommend this spot.

It was definitely worth the wait and I will be going back again an again. Our waitress was Dane and she was very friendly and had a contagious smile. That alone made me and my guest feel welcome. I went with the traditional breakfast with French toast and added the new raspberry coffee- simply supreme. Seeing the kitchen staff working with smiles was also a delight and hearing them say Eggs Up brought back fond memories of watching the old tv show Alice. By far one of the best things was seeing a little boy come in and go straight to the counter and say Hi dad with a wave. Turns out it was possibly the head cook, who came out and gave his son a kiss. Then walked to the tables and asked how everything was- impressive! Restroom was clean. They take cash and cards. It also has outdoor seating. If you have not been there- treat yourself and go. If you have been there-go again and find your new favorite.

There were no other patrons in the restaurant, however they had quite a few online orders they were fulfilling. Our food came to the table and the potatoes were hard as rock! Inedible!! I walked both plates to the server and explained the issue. He offered to remake the meals. A few minutes later, he came back out and stated "these look much better". They did LOOK better, one bite and we were ready to go! The potatoes were barely room temperature! The issue with this restaurant is they you never know what you're going to get. The service is decent but the food is very inconsistent. Some 35 minutes wasted, no meal, hungry and now have to find somewhere else to find breakfast. We unfortunately paid for a meal that we did NOT eat. To pay over $30 for something we didn't eat is ridiculous! Not sure how to resolve this. Maybe the standards need to be more strict or folks need to follow the recipe. Very upset with the wasted money and time today.

Internal policies and zero autonomy for the manager, triumphs over customer experience…read more My group of 8 asked to be seated in a half empty restaurant. Apparently only one section of the restaurant can accommodate 8 people and we were asked to wait. Despite calling ahead and confirming there was no wait for our group. We were flexible and suggested our group take two booths side by side. And was told no. Two different server sections and "policy " would not allow the split of servers. We happily suggested two servers, two checks, at two tables. Problem solved...but was told no, citing "policy". Ok...how about those two empty booths 4 feet away from each other? Are they in the same section? Yes, but we cannot split you up because you came in as a group? "That's our policy" Again the restaurant was half empty on a Sunday during brunch. And yet they could not seat us in separate booths that were right next to each other?? My questions are as follows: 1) Are you able to forward me a snippet of this "policy" the manager spoke of? The one that says groups cannot be split up at their request into adjacent booths with different servers and checks? 2) Does this policy also state that once server sections are drawn in dry-erase marker at the hostess stand, they are immoveable and permanent regardless of customer experience? 3) Let's assume for a moment that the ENTIRE restaurant was empty, except for a party of 8 in the dedicated larger party section. Moments later, another party of 8 walks in....would policy prohibit that 2nd party from being able to sit until the first party finished? Customer experience gets 1 star. This was our 2nd and final attempt at Keke's in Mt. Juliet. The first attempt - we made it into a booth with 7 people (one on the end), but the restaurant didn't have forks. Back-ordered or something? How do you open without forks? Plastic was not the solution.
