All these healthy people make me embarrassed as to what I've done to my body over the past 60+ years. My daughter says that it's never too late to turn it around. But like an oil tanker plowing through the ocean waves, that turn is going to take awhile. The first bend in that turn came in the form of Ginger tofu on a bed of kale and brown rice. Boy is that stuff ever good! Fresh, and if I'm at liberty to say, healthy. So I'll be crossing the threshold of Sunflower in the future. I'll get what my daughter had. Beats me as to what it was. She raved about it, so whatever she had, it'll be in front of me soon. Quick Tip: Look out for the cat.

The Sweet Potato Casserole was disappointingly bland. It lacked both flavor and sweetness, unfortunately. The Collard Greens were actually very good! From what I tasted at the cafe, these were the best. The cafe itself has a very welcoming aesthetic. There was a man who welcomed me as soon as I entered. He was very nice and helpful. There was a salt and pepper haired woman who had an extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming attitude. I even asked a question and she ignored me. So believe those reviewers who speak on this. There's a large covered patio in the front of the restaurant, regular inside seating, and a smaller uncovered patio in the rear. I was really hoping to have a better experience here. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but nothing made me want to give them another chance.

Yelp had a little come and go event here and it was my first time visiting. A great place with a…read morereal communal vibe. We got a couple drinks (I forgot to take a picture) as well as a warmed cookie. Staff were friendly and personable! It was really nice in comparison all of the snow and ice we had just gotten. The only thing I'll note is that it has very limited seating and parking was not the best. Parking was kind of typical for the area, but there are maybe 8-10 spots and basically no standing/waiting area. Despite that, it's got some interesting spots right next door (I think one was a library/bookstore). I could see it being a little afternoon adventure.

Yellow Table has been open for just over a year in the Eastwood Village complex that seemingly overnight brought us a coworking space, cute plant shop, wine bar, book shop, etc, and Yellow Table really rounds it out as the lone spot in this area for breakfast, coffee, or lunch. The vibe is cozy neighborhood cafe, and the service is always welcoming and incredibly personable (I almost always see the owner herself serving up food to customers with a smile!) The food is what truly stands out to me about this spot. I fell in love with buckwheat crepes on a trip to France a few years ago but there are few places in Nashville serving decent crepes, let alone buckwheat ones. Yellow Table offers sweet and savory crepe options, all cooked perfectly lightly crispy and fresh with that incredible nutty buckwheat flavor, exactly how it should be done. My favorites have been the savory crepes, particularly the build your own with prosciutto, leek, spinach, and cheddar - a filling, tasty, and decently healthy option for $15. There's also coffee and tea, pastries, salads, soups (with bread from the amazing wine bar next door), and rotating specials each day. There's limited seating: a few two or three person tables and one shared table inside; in warmer months there are also a few small tables outside. But the WiFi is decent and I see a lot of folks coming here to do a bit of work while grabbing a bite. In just a year Yellow Table Cafe has already made itself an indelible East Nashville neighborhood gem. With the tastiest crepes to grace the Nashville dining scene, chill vibes, warm service, and reasonable prices, here's to hoping for many more wonderful years serving the community for this spot!

The owner…read morerecommended Frothy Monkey for breakfast/brunch, and honestly we only went because it's literally right around the corner from the Airbnb and we were starving. What a hidden gem in the middle of Nashville. There are so many famous breakfast spots here, but this place has absolutely nothing to envy them for. When we arrived it was pretty busy and we had to wait around 20 minutes, but trust me, it was completely worth it. They text you when your table is ready, so you can walk around the area while you wait. We ordered the Broadbent omelet, a matcha latte, Havana latte, and chai latte so we could try different options, and everything was delicious. The omelet was super fluffy, packed with flavor, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Havana latte had that sweet, bold Cuban coffee flavor that makes it perfect, the chai latte was super creamy and perfectly spiced, and the matcha latte had the perfect balance without being overly sweet. After that, my boyfriend ordered the everything bagel and I got the flourless chocolate cake, and wow... the bagel was perfectly toasted, full of flavor, and had an amazing texture. The flourless chocolate cake was easily one of the best desserts I've ever had: rich, intensely chocolatey, moist, and decadent without feeling too heavy. It's definitely worth coming here for breakfast or brunch. The atmosphere is super cozy, the service was excellent, and the whole experience felt relaxed but special at the same time. If you're visiting Nashville, Frothy Monkey absolutely needs to be on your list.

Our server, Hailey, was absolutely outstanding--attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail without ever feeling rushed. Creamy, savory, and beautifully seasoned. Overall, this visit was a 10/10. Great service, great food, and great vibes.

Bongo coffee is already a local favorite, and it's genius that they partnered with Game Point Board Game stores to make a unique experience! Today, I order an iced warm and fuzzy coffee with oatmilk and my husband ordered an iced milk way coffee. I had the chocolate croissant warmed up, and he ordered a chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. I also love the option for snacks for the table, too! You can dine or play inside or on their front porch area. Just return the games when you are finished. If you want others to join your table they have a sign that says "need more players" which is a great way to build community! We also love their special game tables that have built in cup holders! They also display a large calendar of events that they host regularly where anyone can join! This is a great place for families, couples, or anyone who loves coffee and games! Wish there were more locations, this is a great business!
